Let’s you and him fight

Ann Coulter

I’ll try to play this straight, and resist the sarcastic remarks that are gushing from my mind like a certain ruptured oil pipe in the Gulf of Mexico last month.

Conservative commentator Ann Coulter has unleashed some pretty severe invective against WorldNetDaily publisher Joseph Farah. (Coulter is/was a columnist for WorldNetDaily, but is better known as a Constitutional Attorney, best-selling author and syndicated columnist .) According to Newser.com:

Coulter via Tweets and emails said that Farah “could give less than two shits about the conservative movement as demonstrated by his promotion of the birther nonsense. He’s the only allegedly serious conservative pushing the birther thing and for one reason- to get hits on his website.”

What’s it about? Coulter is scheduled to give a speech at Homocon, a gathering of Gay Republicans, and in retaliation Farah canceled Coulter’s talk at his “Taking America Back National Conference.” Reportedly Coulter also called Farah a “publicity whore.”

In the mean time, Farah went on the offensive today with an article on WorldNetDaily attacking Glenn Beck for not being sufficiently homophobic. WND says:

By becoming the latest conservative to capitulate to same-sex “marriage,” Glenn Beck is knuckling under to a movement with Marxist roots that’s intent on sabotaging traditional morality and religion, Joseph Farah and David Kupelian warn.

The spat is being covered by the mainstream media such as the Huffington Post, and being given special attention by Gay/Lesbian sites.

I dispute that Farah promotes birtherism only to get hits on his website. He also does it to get people to buy birther merchandise from the WND store, links to which appear in the body of virtually every WND birther story.

Frankly, I think this tiff will work well for both Farah and Coulter.

  2. Majority Will says:

It’s time for Joey “70s Porno Mustache” Farah to come out.

  3. brygenon says:

“He’s the only allegedly serious conservative pushing the birther thing”. Got that Alan Keyes? You’ve made such joke of yourself that Ann Coulter considers Joseph Farah to be closer to a serious conservative than you are. Farah went birther too, but he just did it for the web hits.

  4. Black Lion says:

    From the “Daily Caller”…

“[T]his was an email exchange [between] friends and even though I didn’t expressly say “OFF THE RECORD” and I believe everything I said, he’s a swine for using my private emails politely answering him.” Coulter wrote in the email to TheDC. “[W]hy would he do such a despicable thing? … for PUBLICITY.”

The conservative pundit said that WND is well known for making decisions just to get attention, citing the conspiracist site’s regular articles about President Obama’s birth certificate.

“I will say that [Farah] could give less than two sh-ts about the conservative movement — as demonstrated by his promotion of the birther nonsense (long ago disproved by my newspaper, human events, also sweetness & light, american spectator and national review etc, etc etc). He’s the only allegedly serious conservative pushing the birther thing. for ONE reason: to get hits on his website.”

From the comments…..Look who shows up…

    lamecherry
To preface this, Joseph Farah has stated he is a newsman and not a Conservative and Ann Coulter just admitted that she could care less about the Conservative movement which includes people who care about the Constitutional issue of Presidential qualifications.

Joseph Farah was promoting none of the above and America got Mr. Obama. Ann Coulter voted for Obama as much as Rush Limbaugh and most of the “conservative” group who did not assist John McCain fully.

To answer Ms. Coulter’s attacks on Joseph Farah is simple. Ms. Coulter is guilty of the same exact charges she is lambasting Mr. Farah over.
All she does is for publicity in selling herself like Glenn Beck in a sucker is born every minute in selling their Noel Sheppard wares using Conservatives to fund their high lifestyles while sounding like Teddy Kennedy.

Ms. Coulter is dilusional in she thinks she disproved the Birthers. There is a little legal document called the British Nationality Act of 1948 which Mr. Obama was born under which states Barack Hussein Obama (pronounced like his father Bearick) is British fully due to his father being British and his mother was under age.
Mr. Obama admits this on his web sites and then stated his British subject status expired, which is impossible.
It is a proven fact that Mr. Obama was adopted by Lolo Soetoro of Indonesia for schooling there as his name was Barack Soetoro.

No one knows where Mr. Obama was born as there is not legal birth certificate. Mr. Obama released his smudged passport, but he could not get that passport using the online document he calls legal.

So Ms. Coulter is a fool in her evidence as she has none, as the online birth certificate is not valid, Mr. Obama has offered no proof he is qualified and the BNA of 1948 states Mr. Obama is British in being a dual citizen of two nations which disqualifies him for the Presidency.

As the Constitution does not matter to Ms. Coulter nor her friend Geraldo, then she should just state it.

Ms. Coulter has a strange definition of “friends” in she has smeared Mr. Farah repeatedly, and the fact is Joseph Farah is about publicity, about tagging Mr. Obama on the facts of the Birther issue and he runs a business just like Ms. Coulter does in marketing herself.

What is the problem in this cat fight is no one cares about being Conservative in what it means. Rush Limbaugh is Elton Blonde in giving 1 million dollars to Elton John who said horrid things about Jesus the Christ in sodomy. Ann Coulter is promoting sodomy as that is what Joseph Farah was speaking about in her appearance gives people who define themselves in destructive sex acts the aura of destroying themselves is fine, when all people are on earth to be more than a sex act.
There are far too many of these spoiled millionaires ruining the Conservative movement which Ronald Reagan began a revolution with. They are juveniles in adult form thinking they can act sinful without it meaning a thing.

It says it all that a Conservative gathering has to pay Ann Coulter to appear as she cares nothing about turning America around to be a place for the American Dream.

Ann Coulter is caught in her dreams of her Obama, along with most of the pundits on the right, excluding Sean Hannity and Mark Levin, who actually have been pro Reagan, Conservative and Constitutional.
There are too many shills taking their pounds of flesh off of the body of America while Obama has carved his 13 trillion pounds of debt.

What are regular Americans going to do as they do not get paid for posting their God Inspired ideas and have to struggle to survive in this age of Obama.

  5. AnotherBird says:

brygenon: “He’s the only allegedly serious conservative pushing the birther thing”. Got that Alan Keyes?

Alan Keyes isn’t a serious conservative. Keyes is a perpetual loser against Obama, and this explains his birtherism. Farah is hard to pin down. I don’t like any of the three, but it is good to seem a “serious conservative” as Ann Coulter publicly discredit the birther movement.

I guess you’re making the point that MSM is not defined by how many people rely on it for their news, but that MSM is the old style of news organizations. By that definition, I think it’s fair to say that HuffPo is not MSM. But as Bovril pointed out above, NY Daily News and the Mooney Times have covered this, and they are both about as dead tree as you can get.

Gov, Lingle, a Republican, asked her Dept Head to look into Obama’s birth and this was done, confirming Obama was born in Hawaii, the way you phrased it is rather funny, is that your birther ploy?Is this “she didn’t see the original” ploy?

I’m not a birther. But I find it fun to debate birthers. I’m in the middle of one now in which the guy says he’d be satisfied if John Boehner said he saw the original birth certificate. I somehow remember something about Linda Lingle seeing it, but I wasn’t sure.

And you have a great sense of sarcasm and humor to boot.

Obama is going to take away [Taitz’s] house.

“Get out!” he’ll say, “This is MY house now.”

Thanks. I appreciate that. I’m working on my 3rd book of humor right now. Conversing with birthers and creationists is great inspiration. Cock-eyed reality is the foundation of both conspiracy theories and comedy.

  22. Adam says:

“I don’t like any of the three, but it is good to seem a “serious conservative” as Ann Coulter publicly discredit the birther movement.”

To her credit, she’s been bashing birthers from the beginning.

I used to like her. I saw her at CPAC back in 2003, and she nearly had me rolling on the floor with laughter. She was good when she stuck to sarcastic humor as her schtick.

Then she tried to get serious and bombed.. She hasn’t done written much of anything worth reading ever since “Treason,” which was positively awful. “Godless” was even worse.

I hope she goes back to her biting sarcastic humor schtick, which I found quite amusing.

In a radio interview in New York, Governor Lingle said (and I quote) “…I had my health director who is a physician by background, go personally view the birth certificate in the birth records of the Department of Health, and we issued a news release at that time saying that the president was, in fact, born at Kapi’olani Hospital in Honolulu, Hawaii. And that’s just a fact.”

“Birthers” of course who parse every word and sometimes every syllable immediately called Governor Lingle a liar because the actual news release that she referenced never mentioned “Kapi’olani Hospital.”

Any rational person would know that the Governor was speaking off the cuff about an incident that had happened a year earlier and realize that Dr. Fukino probably mentioned the birth hospital on the certificate when she reported back to the Governor but the birth hospital was not put in the actual news release, probably due to HIPAA regulations on the confidentiality of birth records.

The first Coulter column I can remember reading (and maybe the only one) referred to Clinton, I mean Bill Clinton, as Moby Dick. That was funny.

I’m convinced that if you set out to do political advocacy via humor, the result will be disaster. P.J. O’Rourke is one of the funniest people alive, but some of his books occasionally attempt advocacy, and when they do, even he sucks.

She asked Dr. Fukino, the Director of Hawaii’s Department of Health, to check on it for her. Why did she do that instead of checking it herself? Because those records are protected by both state and federal law, there are only a limited number of people who can access to them. These records are locked down tight, and only those who have legal access to them are allowed to do so. Even the governor cannot access them, and if the governor cannot access them, neither can a temporary elections clerk.

  26. misha says:

I have written this many times before: Linda Lingle is Jewish, and was an ardent McCain supporter. She felt McCain/Palin were far better for Israel, and if she could have found any dirt, the GOP would have used it with glee.

I noticed on your blog you mentioned you don’t debate non-birthers .. Why not? Are you afraid? Why is it all you do is engage in character attacks — if you really believe in what you say, why don’t you carefully try to debunk the information and supposed facts these “obots” have used to counter birther arguments ? — There are several people like Dr. Conspiracy who have , in a non-divisive way, sat and researched and piece by piece countered and debunked birther claims. If you really want people to take you so-called “birthers” seriously, why don’t you try to do the same thing and take each claim by non-birthers such as Dr. Conspiracy and actually provide hard evidence refuting what he has to say? — All I see people like you do is IGNORE what the man has to say and just demonize him and other’ on all your birther blogs, calling him every name in the book — doing everything you can to smear him aside from actually honestly replying to what he says…

Do you birthers have any intellectual honesty or maturity what-so-ever or do you actually think all you have to do is call someone a NAZI in order to debunk everything they say? Do you not understand this is the reason birthers are laughed at and ridiculed all over the world – you act like little spoiled brats .

Coulter’s Godless book showed she had an amazing lack of science knowledge. Her “I didn’t come from no monkey” view on evolution showed she must have flunked biology. Either she is very stupid or is just playing her readers for suckers.

Either President Obama is eligible to be President or he’s not. And it only takes one solid reason – one sound argument – to prove that Obama is not in fact eligible.

The problem that birthers face is that they do not have a solid reason (or anything close to it) that would explain why Obama should not be President. So birthers take three (or more) bogus arguments and add them together – apparently in the belief that the sum of these arguments is one solid argument. But their reasoning is off. After all, no matter how many times zero is added to zero, the aggregate sum is always zero.

She’s not stupid, but she’s not particuarly knowledgeable about science. She’s a lawyer.

I think she was just trying to readership to evangelicals, and the “intelligent design” movement was all the rage at the time. Her ignorance of science and lack of intellectual curiosity probably prevented her from seeing how pushing intelligent design would make her look stupid to the more metropolitan libertarian-conservative crowd that bought most of her earlier books.

  37. misha says:

Coulter is a major supporter of Coral Ridge Ministries, which is devoted to nullifying the 1st Amendment, anti-science, and anti-reproductive freedom. They want a theocracy.

    Coulter is also an anti-semite.
