Let me pose a question to Mr. Wooldridge: What would you do if you were the subject of a conspiracy theory held by millions of people, and your social-security number were all over the Internet, returning 223,000 hits on Google?

That 1890 stuff shows up on an inquery that also shows the address that Obama lived at in the 70’s, plus 1890 was not in the date field. But birthers love it.
A Georgia teenager was arrested last month for allegedly using the SSN of a White House official on a credit card application, a number he says he found on the internet. Er, surely you mean 90’s and not 70’s? I have already explained how a common data entry error could have caused a 90 to have been entered instead of 61, a 90 which was later turned into 1890 when precautions were made against the 2k problem.

In one of Susan Daniels database entries the same Massachusetts address has both the 1890 date and a 1990 date. Daniels just never talks about the 1990 date.
Also, if the person who was issued that SSN was born in 1890, he or she would be dead by now, which means that a copy of the person’s SS-5 could be ordered. The oldest living American is Besse Cooper of Georgia, who was born in 1896.
Of course, anyone who ordered the SS-5 would be turned down, since the person it was issued to is still alive.
I wonder if it has occurred to any birther to order the SS-5 of Bari Shabazz?

The entry containing the 1890 value clearly show ssn issued 1979-1980, which means the 121 yr old guy was 87 years old when he got his ssn and hasn’t died yet, sure buddy! That 1990 one also shows being issued in 1997-1998, he got that when he was 100 years old, Daniels is an idiot!

In the birther universe, there are NEVER typos or errors, like the one that could easily explain a Connecticut SSN. Everything for the past 50 or so years was done specifically to keep the USURPER’S eligibility problems hidden.

Way back in my childhood, in the 50’s I received for a birthday or Chanukah (both in December) a book of “Jewish Sport Heroes” and one entitled “They Fought Too”, a compilation of stories about Jewish war heroes from WII. If I remember correctly, each book was around 150 to 170 pages and had a sports figure or a hero about every page and a half. The most interesting thing about the sports book was how many Jewish sports figures there were in the early part of the 20th Century and in the second half of the 19th.

Just for the sake of argument, if the birthers were right about this and Obama did obtain his Social Security Number fraudulently as they claimed he did 34 years ago, how could he or anyone who could have been associated with the crime be prosecuted? First Barack Obama arrived in Indonesia at age 6 (not 5). We know this from State Department documents (Soetoro immigration file FOIA) dated October 6, 1967 stating that Obama is 6 years old and living in Hawaii. This is a documented fact and not subject to speculation.

As you probably know, the law that grants citizenship to Indonesian adoptees does not apply to 6-year-old child children.
Your point 1 is the only evidence that suggests Barack Obama had Indonesian nationality. The Inside Edition report that originally presented the form said that it was common practice to use the Father’s surname and Religion on the form. The report doesn’t focus on nationality, but it is plausible that they used the Father’s nationality as well. It’s weak evidence, and against it there is a US State Department response in the Strunk lawsuit, that denies Barack Obama was ever adopted and that he was ever an Indonesian citizen. So these two taken together cancel each other out.

3. The Soetoro divorce does use the term “father” but one cannot say whether this excudes a step father relationship. As you point out, the divorce decree states that Barack Obama is a US citizen, a rather definitive statement, won’t you admit?

It’s actually true (Indonesian Law No. 62) except that it only applies to children under the age of 5. Barack Obama was 6 when he traveled to Indonesia.
