Birther flu

imageIt’s sort of like the influenza that comes around every year, infecting some portion of the population, despite immunizations and good advice on infection control. Birther flu, by which I mean rumors that infect the brains of some people despite the immunization of facts from many places and good advice on critical thinking, keeps mutating and reappearing on a regular basis.

Just a few minutes ago I saw something on Twitter about Obama saying he was born in Kenya. The link was to a YouTube video, one which I recognized in a moment. The video (based on a spoof going back at least to the middle of 2010)  published again on YouTube in November of 2012, is described this way:

You will have to turn up speakers to hear this but in this old video during Obama’s Senate Campaign years, he clearly states he is "Not an American, and was born in KENYA AFRICA".

What you get is a hugely degraded, both in video and audio,  and edited copy of the spoof video from ObamaSnippets.com, who have been responsible for a series of spoof videos where Obama does everything from say he’s quitting in 2012 to appointing Snoop Dog to federal office. The video is not  from Obama’s Senate Campaign; it’s from a Presidential Visit to Turkey in April of 2009 and words have been shuffled to say something wholly different from the authentic video. The original is crystal clear, and you don’t have to turn up your speakers.

Whether it is April Fools jokes that somebody believed, grandmother tapes, Obama executive orders sealing records, massive legal fees, or travel bans to Pakistan, these mental viruses just keep circulating, despite our best efforts at disinfection.

is it time for another bump in the usurper’s lawyer’s fees? has he hit ten million yet?

Regurgitation is the birther form of flattery…it’s all they have left. Obama is the President and there is no way they can get him impeached.

  4. American Mzungu says:

He, Lucas Smith, wrote an article on January 23rd, http://www.wasobamaborninkenya.com/blog/

“I was on the stool tonight and I thought of Dr Conspiracy and his reprehensible and foul-smelling website. Here’s a picture of me, Lucas Daniel Smith, taken tonight with my HTC, after I washed my hands (a practice which I’ve heard is not practiced at the Obama Conspiracy Theories website).”

In response to the article, Dionisio Lopez was moaning about the terrible treatment he had gotten here on Doc C’s blog, and wanted He, Lucas Smith, to answer some questions about the Kenyan birth certificate that He, Lucas Smith, has been floating around for years. After Dionisio digests the 4000 pages of background material and a video featuring He, Lucas Smith, I’m betting we will get another bout of the Kenyan birth certificate flu making an appearance on this web site. I hope everyone has had their flu shots.

Fascinating, and thanks for the link. Mr. Lopez has found an ideal companion and mentor in Lucas Smith.

    this thing on?

hmm, i think my snark button may be broken …

in any case, it’s been too long since we’ve heard from racebannon. i wonder if he’s finished his creative writing project yet?

I hope you were wearing flameproof underwear! 😉

(Maybe one of these would have helped? > 😉 )

OTOH, my boojum button is still working fine.

BillTheCat: The straws they grab at are quite amusing sometimes

Right now, most of them are rather painful (like the “Onaka didn’t say ‘Alvin says’, therefore he acknowledged the LFBC is fake” meme).

I miss the times when they had actually inventive ideas, like “you need two citizen parents because some old Swiss dude says so” or “a certification isn’t a certificate”.

  11. Funny that. The numbers kept inching up until they hit about $4 million when they suddenly deflated back to $2-2.5 million.

aarrgghh: is it time for another bump in the usurper’s lawyer’s fees? has he hit ten million yet?

  12. What I failed to mention in the article is that when I came upon that misrepresented spoof video on YouTube, one of the 2 comments on it was by Mr. Lopez, saying that the audio had been edited.

Oy, and here we go. Conspiracy stupidity, incubating on the web, infecting new brainz long after the fact. If DL can be taken at his word, he didn’t come across PDF Madness until last November. And he says people here ‘know’ the long form is a fake, but say that it’s irrelevant. Poor guy is unaware of the various other images of the LFBC that are available … as Zullo intended his audience to be.

So long as the interwebs are around, there will be new persons “discovering” shocking birfer secrets. Think of the children! 200 years from now … “Once we had this President named “Obama” … and dude! he was a total fraud!”

    Oof.
