Republican steps in something Ugly

I don’t put a lot of web sites in my Ugly list (see bottom of the page) but The American Thinker has been there since, I think, the beginning. Sites get on the list for publishing what I believe is intentional deception (in contrast to just stupid mistakes).

Think Progress, a web site that never misses  the opportunity to tie conservatives to their nuttier fringes, published a story September 9 titled “Senate Republican Caucus Touts Birther Site to Attack Obama.” The National Republican Senatorial Campaign Committee cited an article at The American Thinker by Thomas Lifson about Obama’s handling of Syria. Lifson writes for The American Thinker, a die-hard birther web site.

Update:

This article originally said in error that Lifson is a birther. My apologies to Mr. Lifson.
