Cold Case Posse web site goes dark (again)

Domain expired warning page

Yes, our crack investigators, our “law enforcement professionals,” are too busy counting their PayPal clicks to bother to renew the domain of the Cold Case Posse web site. Or is Zullo finally incarcerated in a FEMA camp? The Shadow Government Knows, perhaps.

Previously the Cold Case Posse web site account was suspended, probably for nonpayment of fees.

Update:

The Cold Case Posse site is back up.

    Dr. Conspiracy:
    My problem too.

It’s bad enough BR is recycling old stories but it appears Kerchner, and others, are in for a surprise when they try to visit the posse’s website – http://www.mcsoccp.org/joomla/

Looks like Mr. Zullo has been so busy building that giant, humongous case against the usurprer that he forgot to renew his website.

  2. Andrew Vrba, PmG says:

Welp! Time for Zullo to go back to streaking through the streets, screaming “Felony Fraud! Felony Fraud! Felony Fraud!”…metaphorically of course. …Oh God! The mental image I just created.
Well, looks like I’ll be asking Santa for therapy vouchers!

  3. Daniel says:

Do we have any idea how many actual people are currently active in the CCP?

    I’m starting to suspect it’s just Zullo….

  4. Mike Duhamey says:

Site’s back up. They are following the OBOTS closely!

  5. Still down from here. I will take some time for all the cached DNS entries to expire.

Mike Duhamey: Site’s back up. They are following the OBOTS closely!

  6. Dr Kenneth Noisewater says:

It would have been funny in the meantime if someone snatched up the site while it was suspended.

It’s still down for me at 2:30 pm eastern time.

I’ve always suspected it was just Zullo.

    Site works for me.

Any word on Zullo’s appearance last Friday (Dec 6) before the Deer Valley Tea Party?

  10. JPotter says:

    Oh, snap, vicious pickle.

Can’ts pay site fees w/o first trolling for Paypal clicks, can’t troll for clicks unless site fees are paid first.

What’s an inept grifter to do?

Find a more munificent scam next time, that’s what …. !

Wondering if the folks who are seeing the site are seeing older cached info?

I don’t think it was ever actually down: whois shows their DNS as “NS[12].TEMPORARYSTATUS.COM”. Which suggests that it’s just the domain registration, not the web hosting contract, that expired, and they got reassigned to a “redirect to a 404-like page” DNS.

I was able to view some pages that I definitely had never looked at before. Including the “Technocops” page, which appears to be the front end to an outstanding arrest warrants database (the warrants: I don’t know how good the database is). I checked, and there’s none for Obama. Guess the county attorney doesn’t think any better of their SHOCKING!!! NEW!!! EVIDENCE!!! that’s PILING UP TO UNIVERSE-SHATTERING HEIGHTS than he did the previous steaming pile.

Well….just after 6 pm eastern time and it’s still down.

In my past life I managed to mess up a renewal on one of our websites and it’s my recollection that it only took a matter of minutes, maybe an hour at the most, for it to kick back in.

As far as the Technocops stuff I don’t recall seeing any data there when I looked some time ago. Not sure how the posse would have access to active warrants in the Arizona or national systems let alone get away with posting them on a public website.

  16. justlw says:

Well, then. If I were on The List, I wouldn’t find this new occurrence at all troubling, nor am I suggesting in any way that it would be prudent for any such person to immediately throw all of their possessions that they can grab in less than two minutes into the trunk of their car and then drive at the fastest speed possible that will not draw attention to themselves, as far as they can from any site with a working computer connection.

  17. HistorianDude says:

For what it’s worth, the Obama Ballot Challenge website appear to be dead too… finally.

  18. Andrew Vrba, PmG says:

I can’t wait for sites like BR to flip out, and claim that its some evil Obot plot coming to fruition.

I only took a quick glance at the “O” page so I could make the joke, but I believe the warrants were all from MCSO. And they have “Don’t try this at home” and “Even if you’re a LEO, call MCSO to confirm before making an arrest” caveats (hopefully, not written by the same CCP landsharks who told them that posting a “forged PDF” on a website is a felony).

  20. CarlOrcas says:

RanTalbott: I was able to view some pages that I definitely had never looked at before. Including the “Technocops” page

Update on Technocops. It’s page on the regular MCSO site http://www.mcso.org/TechnoCops/

It looks like a typical Arpaio publicity stunt with the following qualifiers:

    CAUTION!

While we make every attempt to ensure the accuracy of our web based arrest warrants, there is no cause for arrest based on information found here. In ALL cases, warrants must be confirmed with the originating agency AND the issuing court prior to attempting arrest. While warrants are issued, cleared or quashed hourly, it is not possible to ensure all data is current.

ONLY CERTIFIED POLICE OFFICERS should ever attempt to effect the arrest of any person named in this database. All felons should be considered armed and dangerous. If you have information on the current location of any person listed, call your local sheriff or the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office at (602) 876-1011 or send us a tip by clicking this icon Send Us a Tip on the right side of an individual’s information.

A quick search of people named “Smith” indicates they are bench warrants which come out of public court records. Mostly minor stuff.

More great moments in Maricopa County crime fighting!

  21. CarlOrcas says:

We both updated our posts at the same time.

One thing I noticed – in addition to the “do not do this with mommy and daddy’s permission” warming – is that there are no issue dates on any of the warrants so it’s impossible to know how old they are and how many have been cleared. I would have my doubts about the SO spending much time keep the list up to date.

New update: 6:31 pm eastern time and the website is…….still down.

Your time may have come. Just posted in the new “Washington Times: Why is Speaker John Boehner Protecting Obama’s ID Fraud?” thread…….

So, can some folks who haven’t been banned (yet) pop over there and reassure Bert that it is time to panic? }-)

  26. On the things that make you go hmmmmm list, obamaconspiracy.org expires in less than 48 hours. It’s set to auto-renew, but I went ahead and renewed it just to be safe.

  27. Rickey says:

The site works for me. The lead “breaking development” is a six-month old Internet radio interview.

it really doesn’t take much for these indefatigable culture warriors to soil themselves, does it?

aarrgghh: it really doesn’t take much for these indefatigable culture warriors to soil themselves, does it?

It’s only going to get worse, I fear.

I just checked and it only costs $24.95 to renew the site for a year. Maybe we should take up a collection?

  30. HistorianDude says:

  36. bgansel9 says:

Since MCSO is in the name, can I assume that taxpayers are footing the cost of this site? Hmmmm! Maybe I should call ABC15 and ask them why the MSCO has a website that is down and apparently suffering financial problems? LOL

  37. bgansel9 says:

Update: I’ve contacted ABC15 on Facebook.

  38. JPotter says:

Keith: So the CCP is now a subsidiary of WND?

How d’ye mean “now”, Keith? It’s being a WND mouthpiece from the day the Corsican Ape rolled into Surprise and bamboozled the local Tea Party.

  39. CarlOrcas says:

bgansel9: Since MCSO is in the name, can I assume that taxpayers are footing the cost of this site?

Unfortunately the answer is “no”. The Who Is info on the website has the Anthem PO Box as its business address.

The initials MCSO are not unique to this sheriff’s office. A quick Google search produces a dozen or so others and then there is the Medical Center of Southeastern Oklahoma.

  40. I was able to determine from the parameters of the site that they are paying either $5.95 or $12.95 a month for web hosting.

The click thru on the expiration splash page said renewal was available for $24.95 a year on a one time payment and something like $19.95 for five years.

Right now……at a little before midnight eastern time I still don’t get the website. In both Firefox and IE I am getting a “can’t load the page” message.

  43. RanTalbott says:

Sounds like you might have a DNS cache somewhere that needs purging. Do you get an IPA of 69.50.192.6 for http://www.mcsoccp.org?

Or maybe Corporal Zullo got tired of your snarky comments and had your IPA blocked 😉

I get a “can’t find the server” response when I ping the url.

The IP address returns as okay…..located in far north Phoenix.

At this point it may just be repopulating DNS servers. We’ll see how it works in the morning. Lord knows I won’t lose any sleep over it!!

The site was working at 9:42 Pacific Time. While searching I found the following link to a 9/18/2011 WND article under the mcsoccp.org link. Quoting from the article, http://www.wnd.com/2011/09/346201/

“In the past few months, the Cold Case Posse has been inactive, largely because of budgetary limitations within the Maricopa County Sheriff’s office. ”

This would indicate that the CCP was possibly part of the Sheriff’s office budget in 2011 and also subject to Sheriff’s office financial oversight. When the current CCP IRS issues were questioned by the press, Arpaio indicated the Sheriff’s office had no financial oversight of the Cold Case Posse.

Once again, more questions than answers about the Cold Case Posse.

  46. RanTalbott says:

CarlOrcas: I get a “can’t find the server” response when I ping the url.

Interestingly, I get the same error trying to ping “www.mcsoccp.org” from an XP box that has never (afaik) accessed that website. Maybe you need to dump that toy OS and switch to Linux 😈

  47. RanTalbott says:

Curious George: This would indicate that the CCP was possibly part of the Sheriff’s office budget in 2011 and also subject to Sheriff’s office financial oversight

That was before they changed from “volunteer police auxiliary” into “tool of the Arpaio re-election campaign”.

Seriously: has anyone seen any indication at all that they’ve done anything about any actual crime in the last 2+ years?

  48. Curious George says:

RanTalbott: That was before they changed from “volunteer police auxiliary” into “tool of the Arpaio re-election campaign”.Seriously: has anyone seen any indication at all that they’ve done anything about any actual crime in the last 2+ years?

No. But it smacks of a publicity stunt.

  49. Thinker says:

My guess is that this is pure BS. Nobody has ever found any evidence that the Cold Case Posse has done anything other than birf. Also, the MCSO has said that the Cold Case Posse is a completely independent organization with no official connection to the MCSO. This looks to me like a statement made to try to mislead people into thinking that the Cold Case Posse at one time did things besides birfing, but wasn’t doing anything else at the time that article was written (9/2011) because it didn’t have money.

    Curious George:

Works from here, too (though slowly).

  51. RanTalbott says:

    The Magic M: (though slowly)

Probably all those birfers who heard the rumor, checking to find out whether they need to panic.

Anyone know a l33t hax0r who could replace their homepage with an official-looking message that the site has been seized as part of a mail fraud investigation? That’d cause a significant spike in sales of replacement underwear.

Double points for making it look like it was done from Orly’s domain…

  52. RanTalbott says:

Thinker: Also, the MCSO has said that the Cold Case Posse is a completely independent organization with no official connection to the MCSO.

But Shurf Joke has also said that he makes all the decisions, and has deppityfied at least some of the clowns.

Their status seems to change according to the needs of the moment. It’s an “Official Law Enforcement Organization” when they want to add the illusion of gravitas to their evydunce, but magically becomes “independent” when it’s time to account for the cost of Corporal Mikey’s Excellent Hawaiian Adventures, or to book said evydunce with the prosecutor’s office.

  53. Keith says:

RanTalbott: Seriously: has anyone seen any indication at all that they’ve done anything about any actual crime in the last 2+ years?

Are you talking about the CCCP or the the MCSO?

He’s a slippery fellow, isn’t he? How does he keep their status clear? When you put him on the stand, it’s always, “I don’t recall.” I don’t recall.” I don’t recall.”

Tuesday morning…..11 am eastern time….and I’m still getting the “can’t find the server” message.

As far as what you found that is interesting. Now the dilemma is to figure out which of the three sources – WND, the MCSO or the Cold Case Posse – you feel is most reliable. That’ll make your brain hurt!!

  56. I had a friend who lost the domain match.net because his email address changed and he didn’t get a warning that it was expiring. That was worth big bucks.

    HistorianDude: You snooze, you lose.

  57. Back up for me.

  58. CarlOrcas says:

    Dr. Conspiracy:
    Back up for me.

Nearly 1 pm your time and it’s still not available in our corner of the left coast.

We must get our DNS updates by carrier pigeon.

  59. You might try ipconfig /flushdns at a command prompt.

BTW, have you heard that Shurf Joe is going to be roasted? Don’t have the details but that’s the buzz.

That is a great question – Cold Case is the original intent – how many hours have they spent on cases? Dollars? Is Obama the only case although I am pretty sure he is alive and well.

  63. Curious George says:

With a little help from my friends, I’ve learned that Shurf Joe will be attending the Western Conservative Congress on February 21 & 22, 2014. And pay attention Birthers,……. Shurf Joe does not announce ANYTHING about the “universe shattering” Obama Birth Certificate investigation by the Klown Kar Kadets. He says that he will be speaking about Second Amendment rights, immigration, compromised national security and OTHER Hot Topics. Well there you go. The CCCP investigation doesn’t even get any billing in the Shurf’s schedule of events. Visit http://www.westernconservative.org for more universe shattering information!

  64. RanTalbott says:

Curious George: He says that he will be speaking about Second Amendment rights, immigration, compromised national security and OTHER Hot Topics

He’s said more than once that he considers “the forged BC” and “Hawaii’s lax BC laws” to be “national security” issues.

He’s probably not mentioning them explicity because he’s afraid the Klowns will serve up another plateful of embarrassment.

  65. CarlOrcas says:

Curious George: BTW, have you heard that Shurf Joe is going to be roasted? Don’t have the details but that’s the buzz.

Haven’t heard that. Asked Mr. Google and there’s something about a roast that was scheduled last month but it’s not clear if it happened.

When and where is this one supposed to happen?

  66. RanTalbott says:

CarlOrcas: Asked Mr. Google and there’s something about a roast that was scheduled last month but it’s not clear if it happened.

Well, he’s still around, so I guess we can add “fire” to the list of Technologies the CCP Hasn’t Mastered

  67. CarlOrcas says:

Curious George: With a little help from my friends, I’ve learned that Shurf Joe will be attending the Western Conservative Congress on February 21 & 22, 2014.

This is the old Western Conservative Political Action Committee. It’s all about money, money and money.

He doesn’t have the interest or the guts, IMO, to say “My Obama Birth Certificate Investigation Will Be Discussed At The Meeting.” He has no real interest and he’s taken a real hands off approach to this universe shattering can of worms. Birthers should take note.
