Off-topic, but I just noticed that we don’t have an active open thread.

  2. RanTalbott says:

The Twitter feed in the sidebar brings us news that the ” BREAKING: OBAMA COLLEGE RECORDS RELEASED” spam has risen from the dead again (Fess up: which one of you clowns stole the wooden stake for a campfire?), and the birfoons have forgotten it was debunked almost 5 years ago.

Although I’m not a fan of Adam Sandler, we need to get him to make a new movie about the problems of dealing with birfers, called “50 First Debates”.

  3. Rickey says:

Those Freepers are hilarious. An obvious, widely debunked April Fool’s Joke from 2009 generates 139 responses in four hours on a Sunday afternoon. I guess that they really do live in the basements of their parents.

Please dear God let that be the March surprise.

  5. Dr Kenneth Noisewater says:

Birther I’m not a racist moment on twitter. I was talking about some birther memes and a few birthers start shifting to Obama’s policies. One guy gets mad saying “Get a rope”. I’m like “Get a rope?” He then replies with “yes get a rope, It’s a southern thing”. I reply with: “You do know lynching has racial connotations”. I then get accused of playing the race card.

  6. The Magic M says:

Dr Kenneth Noisewater: Birther I’m not a racist moment on twitter.

The other day I had a (possibly non-birther) guy on Breitbart who bemoaned how racist it is that he isn’t allowed to use the N-word on black people. A birther being racist (while claiming “I’m not racist”) is a “dog bites man” story. 😉

  7. The Magic M says:

gorefan: Please dear God let that be the March surprise.

I think he just tries to get another 15 minutes of fame, given that birthers seem to be generally fine with all the “I got sekrit everdintz, I’m soooo special” talk.

In general, the “the real stuff is secret, but it will be the conspiracy’s undoing, I tell you!” is usually one of the last stages of a conspiracy theory. But then again I thought birtherism had already gone there with the 2010 (?) claims of how SCOTUS had already ruled Obama ineligible and was just waiting a couple of months for the right moment to release the verdict…

I will laugh if that’s their big surprise. I swear that the CCP operates on some kind of delay. Most of their “new information” is at least 6 months old in birtherstan. I still run into birthers pushing the law license claim. I wouldn’t be surprised if this is the next turd the CCP drops or that Obama sealed his records by executive order.

Two things I have noticed in ‘discussions’ with Obama opponents.

    a) The constant complaint that they are called racists because they oppose Obama or his policies- but in my observation they are usually only called racists when they make either racist statements or hold Obama to an exclusively Obama(i.e. black) President standard.

    b) And sadly, in the time it took me to type the above, I forgot what ‘b’ is….:)

  10. RanTalbott says:

The Magic M: given that birthers seem to be generally fine with all the “I got sekrit everdintz, I’m soooo special” talk

I disagree with that assessment: my sample size isn’t great, because I don’t visit ORYR as much since being banned, but I’m sure I see far more “about-to/already-did give up on Zullo for his inaction” postings than “I’m looking forward to March” ones. I’m even seeing some “Zullo has been intimidated/co-opted” ones.

This is definitely the last hurrah for the Little Corporal: when people realize he’s handed them yet another bouquet of balloons filled with nonjudicable hot air, he’ll be lucky if none of them try to literally lynch him.

Thanks for that link. I always thought that her death likely was heart-related. The stress of the crash and then floating in choppy waters had to be extremely stressful, and Keith Yamamoto said that he was trying to get her to calm down while they were in the water.

Of course this isn’t likely to shut up the birthers who believe that everything is part of a conspiracy.

Of course he was: he needed her to keep still so he could get off a good shot with the Sup3r S3kr1t CIA Heart Attack Gun.

Which, it goes without saying, they’ll never find, because it dissolves in salt water…

  15. The Magic M says:

Doc thanks for sharing some of the Birther idiocy with us- normally I don’t go to Birther websites, no more than I go walking through sewer tunnels but Elizabeth…..wow

True, this impostor [Barack Obama] will not step down willingly, but if he is given the option of taking his arrest without force, and if he rebels, then he should be informed that it will be with force.

What does this mean? It means that the high ranking officers, the Army Provost Marshall and/or the Sergeant in Arms, all confront and remove him in handcuffs. It means that he is read his rights, that he is informed that his criminal acts have been proven, that a court of law awaits him, and sentencing will be handed down accordingly.

    — Elizabeth

And of course that is just one of her many posts all looking for one ‘honest’ general or whoever to go into the White House and arrest Obama because well Elizabeth is nuts and thinks Obama should be arrested for everything from being a Marxist who wants to impose Sharia law and because Obama goes on vacation.

These people are insane or despicable and sometimes both.

I am debating with a stupid birther who claims that the short-form certification of live birth of Hawaii is NOT accepted by the US State Department for issuing passports. I have pointed out that it has been the only BC issued by Hawaii since 2001 and that thousands of people have gotten their passports with it. I was asked “Name one.” Okay, can anyone give me the name of someone (or better still a couple or a few people) whom they know who used a short form Hawaii BC to get a US passport?

    Please.

just tell them to contact any passport office and ask “will you accept a 2007 HI certified COLB as proof of birth”. if they say they did and the answer was “no” ask them which office they contacted.

…… that has always killed the debate when i’ve used it.

  30. JPotter says:

Ellen: Okay, can anyone give me the name of someone (or better still a couple or a few people) whom they know who used a short form Hawaii BC to get a US passport?

Well, I could name relatives in Hawaii …. but I don’t think they would appreciate it. Here’s some food for your birfers’ …. ummm … thought: The State Dept’s requirements as to what constitutes an “acceptable” BC for use in a passport application:

    Evidence of U.S. Citizenship
You must submit one of the following original documents as primary evidence of U.S. citizenship (photocopies are not acceptable):

Certified U.S. Birth Certificate (must meet all of the following requirements):
    • Issued by City, County, or State of birth
    • Lists bearer’s full name, date of birth, and place of birth
    • Lists parent(s) full names
    • Has date filed with registrar’s office (must be within one year of birth)
    • Has registrar’s signature
    • Has embossed, impressed, or multicolored seal of registrar
    http://travel.state.gov/content/passports/english/passports/apply.html

    Does Hawaii’s COLB pass? Easily.

Ironically, if I were starting a passport app from scratch, the BC my parent’s rec’d when I was born (you know, the one the birfers would say is my “real” / “original” one) would not pass. (Not that I would want to send it to the State Dept anyway!) So, I would need to get a fresh certification, and, if I were living in HI, that would be a COLB.

  31. The Magic M says:

Dave: Birther and former comedian Victoria Jackson is considering a political campaign.

This has got to be some nefarious Obama plot to make Republicans appear insane and hand Democrats the 2014 elections. 😉 The amount of foot-gunnery is amazing (shows time and again Republicans were ill-advised not to clearly denounce birtherism from the beginning).

sfjeff (quoting a birther): this change in name is what got his law liscense revoked for fruad

It’s amazing how birthers still believe the California (?) bar is the only entity that couldn’t be coerced into complying with the Almighty Usurper’s demands. Except that they could because they will not confirm that Obama’s license was “revoked”, let alone “for fraud”. One of the best examples for cognitive dissonance (here: believing in two mutually exclusive things within the same statement).

  32. Illinois.

The Magic M: It’s amazing how birthers still believe the California (?) bar is the only entity that couldn’t be coerced into complying with the Almighty Usurper’s demands.

  33. Ellen says:

Hi JPotter, and others. I don’t think I have to name names, and I wouldn’t anyway. But, I do believe it is evidence to say that JPotter, or others, have x number of relatives who live in Honolulu, or Maui or a mix of places, and all of them used the short-form Hawaii BC to get US passports. Can anyone help?

    Hi: BatGuano:

Thanks for “just tell them to contact any passport office and ask “will you accept a 2007 HI certified COLB as proof of birth”. if they say they did and the answer was “no” ask them which office they contacted.”

But I do think I should supply the evidence and not ask them to check.

Once again, any friends or relatives in Hawaii, without giving names but giving a little address information and other background to make the information real, who have used Hawaii short-form BCs to get US passports? Please.

  34. The Magic M says:

Ellen: But I do think I should supply the evidence and not ask them to check.

The burden of proof is on the people claiming a COLB is not accepted as proof of birth. It’s also much easier to prove since you just need to ask a passport office – “Will that be enough?” – “No”. – instead of having to bring somebody who was accepted with all his paperwork to prove the birther wrong.

Ellen: giving a little address information and other background to make the information real

Huh? How would “a little address information” somehow “make the information real”, and how little is “little”? Your thought process is touching birther territory in convolution (Convolutedness? Convolutivity? My English is failing me today.)

Ellen: I do believe it is evidence to say that

    Come again?

  35. Ellen says:

Good point. But I want to be active, not passive.

I believe it is called “verisimilitude.” Of course it could be false as verisimilitude in good novels is not factual, but still, it helps.

Does anyone have any people who have received US passports with their Hawaii short form birth certificates?

    Please.

Hawaii isn’t the only state that issues short forms now. In fact Arizona also has switched to short forms and no longer issues long form birth certificates to anyone born after 1989. This mean anyone over the age of 18 right now wouldn’t be able to get a long form in Arizona. The state of NY also uses a short form that contains even less information on it than the short form in hawaii.

    (Corsi) Tea Partier: Hitler Escaped

Corsi’s latest hypothesis, detailed in his new book Hunting Hitler, is that the German dictator didn’t actually kill himself alongside wife Eva Braun in his Berlin bunker as history books would have us believe. According to Corsi, Hitler actually escaped Germany as the Third Reich fell, and he did it with the help of none other than the U.S. government.

it ends with: But if the facts have never hindered Corsi’s zeal, neither have they interfered with his success. His two most popular books, Unfit for Command and The Obama Nation, have been faulted for multiple inaccuracies. But both books were New York Times best sellers.

How and where Hitler’s life ultimately ended is a question worth exploring, and it’s certainly an entertaining conspiracy theory. But for a reasonable—believable–explanation of Hitler’s alleged escape, Corsi is probably not the most reliable source.

It’s not nearly so effective when addressing a thoughtful audience, but labelling an opponent a “frothing loon” can sometimes persuade thoughtful type to run a rabies test before trying to engage said loon in serious debate. More of a “time-saver” than a “weapon”.

The SCOTUS docket shows 52 cases filed by Sibley, and I believe that he has lost all of them. A number of them were part of his longstanding harassment of his ex-wife, Barbara Sibley. On Thursday, January 9th 2014, I was with my son Adam, his girlfriend, and their son – my grandson – Jaiden Daniel, when a situation arose that caused me to fear for my life and the lives of the three children who were with me. I reacted to the situation as I believe that any responsible person would and addressed that threat. As a result of my perfectly reasonable actions I was arrested by the Michigan State Patrol and charged with Simple Assault and Brandishing a Firearm; both misdemeanors. I was able to bail myself out about 4 hours later.

I wish I could be more forthcoming about the circumstances of my arrest, and indeed I will as soon as the case has been adjudicated; but for now I hope that you will believe me when I say that I did what any reasonable person would do to ensure the safety of my children from an imminent threat.

I have retained the services of an attorney, but before he enters his appearance on my behalf he wants a $2,000 retainer which must be paid this week so he can prepare for my arraignment on the 22nd of January. My bail and the cost of having my truck hauled from the scene and impounded wiped me out financially. So once again I turn to you, my TTiV family, for help.

Please click the Paypal button to donate whatever you can afford, whatever you will not miss, to my defense fund. I would never ask anyone to put themselves out for me, but if you have a few dollars to spare they would most certainly be appreciated. I noticed that, too. I was wondering whether the “situation” involved a 6-foot-tall invisible Communist rabbit named “Harvey Alinsky”. But I suppose they would’ve held him for psychiatric evaluation if that were the case.

Interesting that he got charged with misdemeanors: even here in gun-crazy AZ, home of the unlicensed concealed carry law, if you introduce a gun into a confrontation where it’s not legally justified, it’s always a felony.

Wow that is a whole lot of crazy- one excerpt of his writings- which include no less than mind control, satan worship and Washington’s monument being a phallus

The purpose of the paper was to set forth a doctrine intended to control populations of varying sizes, from entire countries to unruly mobs, by instilling them with a never-ending and overwhelming sense of fear. And this was 34 years ago. Since then technology has advanced sufficiently so that ideas, suggestions, and even “voices” can be beamed into the head of a victim using microwaves and other types of radiation; true beam weapons that can instill in the victim and overwhelming sense of dread, confusion, and despair. Watch this video, sent to this reporter by Patriot News Network host Kathy Rubio, to learn more about “Mindwar.”

In this episode of The Truth Is Viral, Publisher and Editor-in-Chief Bobby Powell speaks with talk show hosts Kathy Rubio and Zeeda Andrews (from the Patriots Ride for the Constitution) about information they have received from militia leaders that had planned to attend this event, patriots that are finding out too late that they have been lied to.

Rubio and Andrews claim that information they have received from military sources as well as members of various militias indicates that Vallely’s march to reclaim the Republic is ultimately intended to be a sacrifice to Satan, the blood of patriots meant to stain his altar, the area between the Washington Monument and the Capitol rotunda. These monuments were built to represent the erect phallus of Osiris (aka Apollo, Appolyon, Antichrist,) and the ever pregnant belly of Isis by the Masonic architects that laid out the nation’s capital in accordance with the ancient Egyptian “Mystery Religion.”

I can see from looking at the metadata that it contains multiple objects, but I’m not sure whether Illustrator will show them as “layers”.

I’m wondering whether the March Surprise will be Corporal Zullo announcing that the entire United States government is “fraudulent”. Thus freeing the birthers to stage their planned “revolution” and/or secede into their own little (altered) States. 😉

I’ve had the advice to ignore the birthers before. Yes, they are merely a fringe group like “truthers” and landing-on-the-moon deniers and members of the Flat Earth Society, but when there is an opportunity to present the facts on birther sites, I think anti-birthers should take it. If we can crush even one of the ongoing sets of stupidities, we should.

More useful would be a monument to the folly of birtherism, full of personal memorials to those ensnared and the prices paid. Another of JPotter’s aphorism is that “bullsh*t breeds in a vacuum” … delusions like these, manifestations of denial and ideology, are too quickly swept under the rug, allowing the next to develop and fester, as if it was something new, there were no precedents, and there are no relevant cautionary tales. In reality, it’s the same old bullsh*t, sames causes, same harms.

But wait, is it possible that Judge Judy’s crossword puzzles are actually the California Bar Exam? That would explain everything!!! I’m sure I could have aced those puzzles had I used an open book, and I bet even Dr. Taitz Esq. (can’t forget the Esq.) could handle that.

they even claim that dr fuddy was filmed `smiling and laughing’ as she exited the plane…..funny, but i seem to have missed that bit.

Fuddy’s arrhythmia most likely was ventricular fibrillation. Ventricular fibrillation is an erratic, disorganized firing of impulses from the ventricles. The ventricles quiver and are unable to contract or pump blood to the body. This is a medical emergency that must be treated with cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and defibrillation as soon as possible. It can be triggered by intense stress.

It has nothing to due with blocking veins. Vuoto, who isn’t a doctor, is confusing Sudden Cardiac Death with a heart attack.

CarlOrcas: It’s all over Birther Report and they’re just absolutely sure this is Zullo’s universe shattering information.

Interesting since it has zero bearing on eligibility.
Interesting because it doesn’t mean the BC was forged, or that Obama had any knowledge of that.
Interesting because it would not end his presidency (given that the new alleged father is not the Communist boogeyman or black radical they tried to invent with their FMD/Malcolm X stories).
Interesting because it shows for how little they are willing to settle now, especially in relation to “universe-shattering”.

Prediction for a what-if world where this theory was correct: people would pause to wonder, then go on with their lives. Issa would hold hearings that come up empty. Birthers would be fuming the usurper is not removed. Zullo would claim he’s still got more stuff that will catch up on the universe shattering. Any day now…

  91. Arthur says:

First, birthers flirted with the notion that Malcolm X looked like Obama and so must be his father. Then they noted a resemblance between the president and Frank Marshall Davis. Now this Subud fellow has become their père du mois. What will next month bring . . . the earthing-shattering news that Obama is the love child of Angela Davis and Joe Arpaio?

A couple thoughts from a former resident of Sandland:

First, Arpaio will be 84 years old in 2016 and this trial balloon has been flown so many times it is getting a little raggedy.

Second, getting elected statewide is a lot different than getting elected in Maricopa County.

Third, his approval rating have been eroding precipitously in the last couple years. Here is the most recent data from the most reliable Arizona poll:

Those numbers are for Maricopa County, his home county. I suspect they are even worse in Pima, the second most populous county after Maricopa.

Also notice that most of his 2013 donations came from out of state. Arizonans know him too well to give him their hard earned money.

Depends on the candidate and the opposition: Maricopa County still has 60% of the state’s population. If he hadn’t pissed away his overwhelming dominance there, he’d have an excellent shot just by adding the mostly-pro-Joe rural vote to that base.
