  1. So do you think the fellow who sent the pipe bomb to Obama was a birther?

  2. You mean the #MAGABomber? I would say there is a good chance. Many of the MAGA’s are also Birthers.

  3. Northland10 says:

    I wouldn’t be surprised if he/she were a birther though I suspect that would not a primary motivator. They already are living in hate of all things liberal/progressive or the Democratic party so birtherism is just another way to hate.

  4. This was on his Twitter account. Any long time reader here will recognize this tripe.

    Yep. He was not just somebody who had included some birther beliefs in his pantheon of hate, but was a full out birther believer. It does appear when it comes to his hate, he never goes small.

  6. Thanks to Loren Collins here is more from his Twitter account.

    He is definitely a Birther.

  7. Rickey says:

    In other news, Jerome Corsi is being investigated by Robert Mueller.

    His Twitter account has been suspended, so the link is no longer working.

    I keep seeing mentions of my home town popping up on the news because George Soros lives there. He and Martha Stewart are neighbors.

  9. Loren posted the contents of the hardrock2016 Twitter account in a PDF file at SCRIBD.

  10. Pete says:

    I took a look. I didn’t notice any particular birtherism.

    Not saying it isn’t there.

  11. Loren had posted several Tweets from one of Sayoc’s accounts at the Fogbow. It was typical anti Obama garbage claiming that he didn’t release any of his records and that Ann Dunham played in porn films.

    Unfortunately I don’t that PDF is text searchable.

    Pete:

    Not saying it isn’t there.

  12. Pete says:

    I did see the Ann Dunham porn BS. But I just counted that as anti Obama garbage. To me, birtherism is more specific.

  13. Rickey says:

    I know that it will pop into my head on its own, but I’m looking for the legal term which describes a factual statement in a court decision which is not essential to the decision. For example, Wong Kim Ark’s parents were domiciled in the United States when he was born but the controlling fact is that he was born in the United States.

    Thanks.

  14. Are you thinking of obiter dicta?

    Rickey: I know that it will pop into my head on its own, but I’m looking for the legal term which describes a factual statement in a court decision which is not essential to the decision

  15. I recall some of the others. One was a reference to David Manning’s fake trial of Obama and another was the usual list of records the Birthers wanted on Obama.

    I have always included as Birthers those who bought into any of the conspiracy theories about President Obama’s background including the two parent citizen crowd, that he was adopted by his stepfather in Indonesia, that he got foreign scholarships to attend college, that his real father wasn’t Barack Obama, etc.

    Pete:

    That’s it. Thanks.

    Yup. And the fake Columbia identification.

    But the Manning fake trial sealed it for me.

  18. Probably the only useful things I learned from following the Birthers for all these years are the meanings of legal terms like obiter dictum and ratio decidendi.

    Rickey: That’s it. Thanks.

  19. I enjoyed this paragraph from the article:

    But Corsi’s most penetrating smear campaign is the same one that helped forge his bond with Donald Trump. He is widely considered one of the early promoters of the so-called “birther” movement, which pursued the idea that former President Barack Obama was born in Kenya, not in America. The theory was debunked and widely denounced as baseless, racist vitriol. Corsi and Trump have long been blasted for not walking back their claims even after Obama produced his long-form birth certificate. In fact, it was only in the final stretch of his successful 2016 presidential bid that Trump finally acknowledged that Obama was born in the U.S.

    Rickey:
    More Jerome Corsi news.

  20. bob says:

    Birther election results:

    Tom Parker will be Alabama Supreme Court’s Chief Justice;
    Gary Kreep is trailing in his attempt to keep his judgeship;
    H. Brooke Paige won’t be Vermont’s next Secretary of State;
    Brian Kemp will likely be Georgia’s next governor;
    Steve King won re-election.

  21. Glad to see Kreep go down. Paige never had a chance. Kemp failed the Birthers miserably as SoS by upholding Malihi’s ruling. But the biggest Birther turd of them all is still President.

    bob: Birther election results:

  22. bob says:

    Don’t think I forgot about Cody Judy!

    We won’t know until the results are certified as to exactly how many write-in votes he got. But I’m guessing somewhere in the neighborhood of one.

  23. I will take the under on that.

    bob: Don’t think I forgot about Cody Judy!

  24. I think it is starting to sink in what a crushing defeat for Trump the election was.

  25. Corsi and Jeff Sessions look scared to death. It’s about time!

    Rickey: More Jerome Corsi news.

  26. Nancy Ruth Owens says:

    Corsi and Jeff Sessions look scared to death.

  27. Rickey says:

    NBC News has just reported that Jerome Corsi has been told that he will be indicted for lying to Mueller’s investigators.

  28. I know what Corsi said but I will believe it when I see it. I think Corsi may be playing the martyr to grift to help pay his legal expenses.

    Rickey:
    NBC News has just reported that Jerome Corsi has been told that he will be indicted for lying to Mueller’s investigators.

  29. Pete says:

    I wonder whether orange is a flattering color on Corsi?

  30. Rickey says:

    Reality Check:

    He has set up a legal defense fund. I wonder how many suckers will contribute to it.

    I haven’t looked at World Nut Daily in ages but I checked this morning and there is no mention of Corsi there.

  31. I think Corsi and Wild Nut Daily parted ways did they not?

    Rickey: haven’t looked at World Nut Daily in ages but I checked this morning and there is no mention of Corsi there.

    They still have some of his books in their Superstore, but that’s about it, as far as I can tell.
