I’m always looking for ways to understand the Birthers better and this video from a couple of years ago helped.

they live! classic Roddy Piper. The longest, silliest fight in cinema history is also appropriate.

Wow. The mental gymnastics are amazing!

They really have to convince themselves that a decent guy like Obama and his supporters are demons that are out to get them.

    thanks

    lol

perhaps i missed it in his 12 pages, but did berg mention his previous (FAILED) lawsuits?

one went to the supremes 3 times: DENIED, DENIED, DENIED

the other went to the appellate court: DISMISSAL AFFIRMED, DISMISSAL AFFIRMED

  8. G says:

I see crazy Berg is remaining a “strictly Old School” Birther. Still trotting out the born in Kenya myths and all the old Indonesia myths and every scrap of the same long, dead debunked nonsense that goes along with it…

Berg, as someone who is also a “Truther” conspiracy nut is one of the easiest to peg and predict. His mindset is most like the Flat Earth Society folks that still cling to their antiquated delusions. Berg will remain a broken record, clinging and spouting the same Truther and Birther nonsense, for the rest of his life (plus whatever new conspiracies he becomes susceptible to along the way).

The return of Phil Berg will inspire Orly to new heights of fellow-birther bashing, too. The very thought of a birther giving a dollar to Phil instead of Orly will make her apoplectic. 😯

I guess Phil doesn’t feel so left out today because he was uninvited to the Birther Summit months and months ago. Today he’s just one of thousands who are uninvited.

I don’t think Phil believes a word of what he says, anyway. He’s just a grifter trying to cadge a few last bucks from the suckers.

i find this all EGREGIOUS and bordering on CRIMINAL

    were is the ACCOUNTABILITY?

as the alter-birthers said today about taitz

“What results have you achieved in four years of taking OPM (Other peoples’ money)? All these misstatements, if not lies, or deliberate shading of the truth, are at the very least the result of your fact-finding incompetence, or a deliberate attempt to mislead your readers, not a good attribute in an attorney. …”

    http://ohforgoodnesssake.com/?p=22045

in psychology, they call that “projection”

are there retainer agreements and timeslips kept in these lawsuits?

is there monthly billing to substantiate the money spent?

  12. G says:

Oh Berg’s a grifter and an opportunist, for sure. One with a long history of kooky frivolous filings. It certainly can be difficult to separate the mere conspiracy con artists from the “true believers”….

From observation, I’ve always been of the school of thought that many who start out as con artists end up so emotionally invested in their own con, that they truly wind up believing their own BS after awhile. So I think there becomes a point where the con-artist merges into “true believer” and the lines tend to blur. They are still totally practicing their grift, but they are also buying what they themselves are selling.

This is where I see Berg. I think even the WND propandists have lost their minds and now tend to believe some of their own crockery as well. They have partially brainwashed themselves.

So yeah, I still view Berg as too far gone down his own Rabbit Holes. I hold to the idea that he’ll be rocking back and forth, muttering these kook conspiracy theories, until his last breath…

Anyways, PA is now setting up to be quite a cornucopia of Birther ballot madness. As I’ve mentioned before, I find this quite amusing, as I don’t see where the PA Ballot rules give much of a window to entertain any of their BS claims at all…

Then again, Birtherism is all about chasing lost causes…. In the Birther Bizarro Universe, an inversely proportional relationship between chance of success and the amount of effort to pursue that angle seems to only entice them, like moths to a flame.

Foggy: The return of Phil Berg will inspire Orly to new heights of fellow-birther bashing, too. The very thought of a birther giving a dollar to Phil instead of Orly will make her apoplectic. I think the birfers would be unpleasantly surprised if they knew how few birfer leaders really believe their stuff.

Trump, actually, for some time. Ed Hale too, but he does not really count, never did.

Orly? Permit me to doubt even her. Her real point is spreading lies, religiuous hatred and racism. Part of the reson she is going downhill mentally may be the complete chasm between what her brains are telling her and what her emotions let her do.

And all the rest are grifters, with Him, Lucas Smith being the only one who does not hide the fact.

  14. Paul Pieniezny says:

Funny video, but knowing the hatred the birfers share for everything remotely related to socialism (except when it is called Orly Taitz and huffs and puffs), I was expecting to see Ampelmaenchen, those nice gentlemen with bowler hays that they still have in East Berlin traffic lights.

You haven’t seen Europe if you never saw the bowler hat men in London and East Berlin.

I can’t tell you about what goes on, for example, between Cmdr. Kerchner and Mario Apuzzo. Whatever happens, no one will investigate unless the client (Kerchner) complains.

I can tell you about Orly: No accountability, no retainer agreements or timeslips, no monthly billing, no status reports. Orly doesn’t have clients, she has “plaintiffs”. Since they’re not paying her any fees, she’s not ripping them off. She relies on voluntary donations, mostly from people she doesn’t represent. We’ve tried for three years to get the Cal. State Bar to do something. I think they’re going to name her Lawyer of the Year instead. They only care about attorneys who steal from their clients or screw up their clients’ cases.

Berg has mostly represented himself, and this new case is in his name. No accountability there, either.

    Aren’t the birthers fun?

I have noticed the Berg attorney discipline with Pennsylvania is and endless series of more hearings, post-hearing conferences, and then more hearings. It has a Liberi v Taitz aura to it.

I wonder if Ron Polland believes in the comment he left at Obama Release Your Records:

“Obama has not provided a shred of valid concrete evidence – such as an actual, genuine, original birth certificate that we are told exists – to prove that he was born in Hawaii.

“A hundred affidavits by people claiming to have seen it is not concrete evidence.

“A forgery, however, is concrete evidence of identity fraud, conspiracy, and obstruction of justice.

“This is the only way to put them in a bind.”

  18. John Potter says:

Some classic dialogue from They Live (cleaned up a bit) … what’s great is that it works both ways … could be normal people seeing birthers for the first time, or a birther selling birther memes to a fresh rube! The threats, the name-calling, the paranoia, allegations of ineptitude .. yet another just-add-water analogy.

    A: Try these on.
    B: You crazy mother!
    A: Put these on.
    B: Stay away from me.
A: I’m trying to save you and your family’s life.
B: You can’t even save yourself.
A: I’m giving you a choice. Put these on or start eating that trash can.
    B: Not this year.
    A: Okay.
    B: Come on.
    A: I don’t want to fight you.
    B: Stop it.
    A: Put on the glasses.
B: I told you I didn’t want to be involved.
A: Take a look. Put them on.
    B: No!
A: Put the glasses on. Put them on!
    B: F—— you!
    A: Look! They’re everywhere.
    B: They can see us.
A: Hold on. You aren’t the first one to wake up out of a dream.
    B: What’s that?
    A: Brother, life’s a b—— … and she’s back in heat.

    ————

A: Don’t wear those glasses too long. It’s like a knife in your skull.
B: How long have they been there?
    A: Who knows?
B: Where do they come from?
    A: They ain’t from Cleveland.
B: What are we going to do?
A: When you get your master plan, you let me know.
B: If we can see, we’ve got to find the people who made these.
A: Yeah, if any of them are still alive.

They Live can be streamed on Netflix. See it early, see it often. 😉

    Horus:

It will be tried, but one of the advantages of birthers wasting their time on Primary ballots is that it establishes their cases as lost before any case which could ever actually affect anything.

  22. Montana says:

Mitt Romney’s Mexican father, hmmmmm…….Are the simple minded “BIRTHERS”, going to ask Romney for his birth certificate? We all know this was never about a birth certificate, if it was then these same people would be asking Romney for his. It’s about small minded people who hate African Americans and do not have the brains to review a President’s policy so they make something up. So sad, so sad.
