Kansas challenge settled, plus another Hawaiian verification

Joe Montgomery’s ballot challenge to Barack Obama’s place on the 2012 general election ballot for President of the United States was withdrawn, and so the three-man Kansas Board of Objections decided there was nothing to vote on. Obama stays on the ballot.

Birther dissident leader Orly Taitz showed up and wanted to make her own objection, but the filing deadline had passed. She was not allowed to object, although the Board let her talk a little.

A verification received over the weekend from the State of Hawaii to Kansas that Obama was indeed born in Hawaii, reports TPMMuckraker, is just icing on the cake which remained sitting uneaten on an otherwise empty chair.

The Oh for Goodness Sakes! blog has a fantastic first-hand report of the hearing by slash2k.

    From slash2k report:

“He briefly recounted Thursday’s meeting and what the motion there had been. After that meeting, staff contacted Hawai’i, Arizona, and the federal court in Mississippi as requested, and all three responded.”

They got a response from the Federal Court?

It’s hard for me to image the court reacting that quickly.

It looks to be the infamous comparison of the letters on Obama’s birth certificate.

  7. slash2k says:

To be fair, Kobach never said what *kind* of response they received from the Mississippi court; for all I know, it could have been “Look on PACER” or “we’ll get back with you, sometime” or “go away.”

I saw this over at freerepublic:

“I spoke with someone at Kobach’s office and it was clarified that though the jurisdiction of the Objection Board is over now, the jurisdiction of Kobach himself is not over and it is still up to him to decide whether he will accept a known-perjurious Certification of Nomination to be effective in accomplishing election fraud. The guy I spoke with agreed that it wasn’t that Kobach COULD NOT keep Obama off the ballot, but that Kobach is saying he WILL NOT. He said that a court challenge would be the next step if anybody wanted to continue with the issue. I said that if the courts were used the next step would be election fraud charges against Mr. Kobach. He said that would be an option. A very nice man in a cordial but intense exchange.” Butterdezillion

I truly wonder at Orly’s craziness, yesterday, Monday, was Rosh HaShana the Jewish New Year, one of the most holy and solemn days of the year. Yet, rather than being in synagouge with family and a congregation, here’s Orly flying across the country to present papers in a case that was killed off by the filer!

Orly may be Jewish by heritage, but she is not at all a practicing Jew.

    @Gorefan,

Basically ANYTHING stated by BitterButt is an outright distortion of reality, this is the woman who is CERTAIN that every single, plain as a pikestaff, unswerving confirmation from Hawai’i that the BC and all of the contents are good and legally sound ACTUALLY means it was DIRECTLY CONFIRMED not to be………

She also has an unswerving hatred of moslems and KNOWS that Hezbollah “operatives have been infiltrated by Obama, into the US via Venezuala AND they have nuclear weapons from either Pakistan, North Korea or Iraq.

Here is just ONE of these nutter posts on the subject…………..

My fear is that Iran will set off an EMP as the signal that Hezbollah sleeper cells in every larger US city (but especially in Washington DC and the state capitols where the government is centered) are to begin the communist-Islamist coup here. Sometime before the election if it becomes clear that Obama is losing so badly that the dead voters and manipulated election tabulations would be too obvious.

Obama is making sure we don’t have troops here to defend the Homeland, that Iran gets a nuke (if they don’t already have a N Korean nuke in place to be launched from Venezuela), that our borders are wide open, that the majority-Muslim nations that had once been our allies against terror are now in the control of Al Qaeda and/or Salafists, and that the druglord allies of Hezbollah just across our southern border are armed with untrackable, deadly weapons.

This video has a short Kobash statement:

“… the birth certificate on record with the state of Hawaii matches the birth certificate that is on the White House website, so I have no doubt.”

  17. foreigner says:

gorefan, only “matches” in that video.I’d love Hawaii (Onaka)
    writing/saying : “it’s the real deal”

  18. G says:

It must be your poor understanding of english that is the problem here. Saying that the record “matches” IS confirming that it is the real deal.

You have lost sight about what a birth record actually is – a description of the underlying DATA in regards to the birth. It can ONLY “match” if it is 100% correct. That is as solid as a confirmation gets.

Judging from birther word parsing, I guess if he did, you’d just claim he admitted that the whole thing was bought (after all, that’s what “deal” usually refers to, right?) or that there was some kind of “deal” (between the GOP and the Dems? Between Hawaii and Kansas?), i.e. something fishy and shady going on. *duh*

  20. gorefan says:

foreigner: only “matches” in that video

    Do these two list match?

    1) dog, cat, house, car, horse

    2) dog, cat, house, car, horse, hammer, nail

  21. G says:

Awesome find! Thanks for posting that!!!

So add KS to the list of states which has a clear and definitive verification statement on Obama’s BC from the state of HI.

    gorefan:
Jack Ryan has postd the verification

  22. donna says:

    gorefan:

thanks for posting that – so we now have 3 verifications that have “appeared” in court

and 2 were requested and received by republicans bennett & kobach (BOTH affiliated with romney)

  23. gorefan says:

    G: Awesome find!

Well I didn’t find it, Jack Ryan did his usual good job, but thanks anyway.

Here is Butterdezillions take on this new verification:

    http://butterdezillion.wordpress.com/2012/09/21/kansas-never-asked-if-record-was-valid/

She still believes that SoS and AGs will give a sh!t about the letter Klayman sent to them. I find that kind of sad.

  24. donna says:

so Butterdezillions is saying that 2 romney surrogates, kobach and bennett, are incompetent and in OBAMA’S pocket?

bennett is a mormon and mitt’s az co-chair

kobach is mitt’s immigration guy – mitt thinks SB1070 should be the model for the country

Frankly, I cannot follow her logic of a valid, legally true verification of a BC.

“It is no longer up to any of us to prove that Obama isn’t eligible; Onaka has already done that.”

I doubt if Dr. Onaka would agree with her.

  30. Paper says:

Hawaii does have more information than is in the birth certificate. The states collect more information than is put on the birth certificates.

I’m gathering from the densely-packed, obscure comments here, that you think this is important somehow?
