“This is not a political agenda for us”
Zullo and Gallups were on Mike Volin’s Blog Talk Radio show this past Thursday (Oct. 3, 2013). Zullo asserts that Congressman Steve Stockman is definitely going to move forward to get a Congressional investigation into Obama’s identity documents. That’s the spin the birthers are putting on this. Another possible interpretation is that some low-level Stockman functionary is failing to say “hell no” loudly enough.
Zullo rewrites history when he says that from the beginning he was saying that the issue of Obama’s eligibility belonged with Congress. If that was the case, then what does the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office have to do with it? Why the use of the words “law enforcement” at every turn? Now the issue is for Congress, and that’s where the Cold Case Posse’s lobbying efforts are directed, contradicting his statement in the audio clip that “this is not a political agenda for us.”
Wiley Drake (one of the birther plaintiffs) was also a guest on the show (or maybe Volin’s show was a guest on Drake’s show—it was complicated).

I have to assume this is true because Birthers have never gained anything politically from Birtherism. Some (Corsi, Klayman) have made a little money but there are more dignified ways of going about that (actually nothing less dignified comes to mind). Perhaps it’s a form of OCD.
On the Carl Gallups front, he accused the Pope of blasphemy on his Friday show.
Every time Zullo or Gallups pimps someone as the next “great white hope” of the birther movement, they’re always left high and dry when said hope leaves ’em hanging!
I think someone should call in on next week’s show and ask “What ever happened to…”,
and then list all the so-called allies and VIPS who left them in the dust.
Hmmmmm…..if Stockman is “on board” why do his website, facebook page and twitter account say absolutely nothing about Obama’s “forged” LFBC?!?
Now as for rewriting history, Sheriff Arpaio did say in July of 2012 he was finished with this and it was now up to Congress. He said that after being spurned by the Maricopa County Prosecutor and the Arizona State Attorney General.
Since then, of course, Zullo has been entirely on his own and the good Sheriff has remained absolutely silent on the subject, except when he was confronted with embarrassing questions about the Cold Case Posse not filing its tax returns.
Arpaio is gonna say even less, now that he’s being monitored. Actually, I’d love to ask him how the birthering is going. Just to watch him sweat. Course it might be hard to tell which sweat is which…
After listening to Zullo, it’s clear that he carefully avoids saying that Stockman has agreed to do anything for the birthers. For example, Zullo claims he’s communicating with a person who has a connection to Stockman’s office, but he doesn’t give the person’s name; moreover, his words reveal that this person is not actually a member of Stockman’s staff, and is operating as some kind of go-between. He goes on to claim that this unidentified go-between has assured Zullo that “Stockman is very much involved; very much on board” but he doesn’t definitely say what Stockman is on board about. He then takes refuge in a “timing issue,” claiming that he has been told by his go-between that Stockman’s office said, “it’s going to take longer than we originally anticipated.”

Come on, alg! Zullo said it’s all a matter of timing. In other words, you don’t simply walk into Mordor, and you don’t simply walk into the White House and arrest Ofraudster! You wait, you wait until he’s out of office, you wait until, say, 2017, and then, when he least expects it–you pounce! Of course, you’ll probably be shot by a Secret Service agent, but that’s beside the point. The important thing is the waiting, the stalling, the blabbering, the hemming and the hawing. It takes time, man! After all, the faithful aren’t going to bilk themselves.
You’d think that there’d be a law against taking financial advantage of the mentally feeble, but maybe that doesn’t apply to the willfully mentally feeble.

For some it may not have been a political agenda. People may have had questions about the birth certificate based on Corsi’s book or based on what they couldn’t understand when they looked at the PDF copy. For others it has been a political agenda. It’s obvious that Captain Z has a direction mapped out because he has surrounded himself with Birthers, Reed Hayes being the lone exception. We have no idea what’s in Hayes’ report. More evidence that the investigation is agenda driven is Camp Director Z refused to accept the state of Hawaii’s Verification of Birth as valid. I believe Zullo refers to it as “Non-Verification Verification” quickly dismissing that the Hawaii DOH verifies all of the information contained on the White House displayed PDF. The Arizona Secretary of State considered the Verification of Birth valid, while Corporal Z ignores the evidence. The Verification of Birth puts an end to the investigation only if the investigation is not agenda driven. Obviously something else is at work here and it doesn’t appear to be the truth.
I haven’t wasted 2 hours of my time listening to more of this carnival act. The investigation is nothing more than agenda driven political propaganda contrary to the CCCP Articles of Incorporation as a public charity. Head Librarian Z should pull the plug on what looks more and more to be a poltical agenda driven sham.
Carl Gallups did a short follow up to the Mike Volin’s Blog Talk Radio show on his Freedom Friday show. After the litany of excuses as to why they can’t get anything done, he explains that absolutely, positively Congressman Stockman is going to be doing something about something. But he also says that they have made some stupendously amazing discoveries of the connections between Obamabots and Hawaii and Washington DC – high ranking people are involved. And almost immediately he qualifies it with if Stockman does nothing then they are going to make everything public.

As I’ve said before, I (in the immortal words of Sheriff Joe) “believe probable cause exists” to charge the CCP with fraud. The “coding” video is irrefutable proof of false statements (even if you concede they were mistaken about which coding standards to use, they misrepresented them right in the video). Zullo’s current claim that it’s always been about getting to Congress means that the past claims of running “an official criminal investigation” are lies (as do the facts that they haven’t logged their “evidence” and that Zullo claims that it’s his “personal property”). The fact that their charter prohibits their engaging in political activities means that they’ve been soliciting donations under false pretenses.
It cn also be argued that a “reasonable person” would know that their claims about “100% proven” fraud and forgery are nonsense, given what they’ve been told by their own County Attorney and at least one other lawyer.
The fact that they’ve been encouraging others to lobby Congress may also be a violation of federal laws regulating non-profits.
And there are other false claims that a real “official criminal investigation” would turn up.
It’s certainly possible that the Maricopa County Attorney wouldn’t want to touch the case because he needs to be able to work with the MCSO to prosecute other crimes. And it’s likely that Horne won’t take it up because of his gubernatorial aspirations. but Zullo likes to brag about travelling all over the country, so there are other jurisdictions where he could be charged.
Actually, it’s his second term. Or maybe his “second first term”. 😉

Yes, even if his first tour of duty counts in some way he’s still so junior that he isn’t going to make anything happen. He can, and will, waste a lot of time and energy filling up the hopper with nonsense legislation that will go nowhere. The man is a fool.
If you noticed Gallups claimed the Missouri Sheriff’s conference was the VIPs. Previously Zullo claimed that they weren’t the VIPs they had all been talking about. In other words they lied again.

This is a list of Stockman’s committee assignments. None of them have any relevance to Obama’s eligibility.

Even if Stockman has gone full birther, he is no position to initiate an investigation.

The same honest* people would have asked the same hard* questions had O been competing with McCain for that other party’s nomination back in ’08. And, were O to suddenly switch affiliations and agendas while in office (wouldn’t that be a hoot?), the same honest* people would remain doggedly on the case.

Obviously, there isn’t a chance in hell that Stockman will convince Congress to conduct an investigation into birther nonsense. It would be hilarious and birther heads would explode when they see their fake experts and real lunatics getting skewered by Democrats and Republicans alike, but it’s not going to happen.
However, I could imagine Stockman doing a stunt like sending a letter to the White House or maybe the Governor of Hawaii asking them to allow a forensic document examiner of the original 1961 birth certificate or something similarly stupid.
Right-wingers are pretty well okay with bashing the new Pope, mainly because he’s not the cookie-cutter bigot they wanted him to be. “A Pope who is actually trying to echo Christ’s teachings? We can’t have that now, can we?!”
I think you underestimate the ability of a birther to fabricate something out of whole cloth. Given the committees you list, I can gather that an enterprising birther could get the ball rolling on either the two following points.
1. He and his fellow birthers are BANKING on obama being born in kenya. If that was true, letting him keep the presidency would be a fairly large OVERSIGHT.
2. And since it would take a lot of ENERGY to forge a birth certificate and ruin the natural born ENVIRONMENT of the presidency, an investigation might be necessary.
It makes just as much sense as most of the other justifications advanced….
People should pepper his website, Facebook & Twitter until they get a definitive answer.

This is a standard ploy that reads, “[Politician] only supplies stock replies to standard friendly, or at worst neutral, inquiries. And by [politician], we mean his/her staff does it for him/her.”
If Stockman is planning a Congressional Investigation of an alleged Obama fraudulent birth certificate, it’s going to be as legitimate as the Birthers’ crank CCP “Sheriff’s Office investigation” was. That means any such “full” Congressional Investigation version will take place in Stockman’s bed under the covers, with Carl Gallups and Field Marshall Mike Zullo taking turns holding the big flashlight.
We’ve been talking in the context of formal committee hearings, but I vaguely recall a Daily Show segment from several years back. Stewart was mocking some Democrats because they, as the minority, couldn’t force a “real” hearing, so they booked a room and held a “psuedo-hearing”, and screwed up the logistics so it became comedy fodder. I believe the Republicans did something similar, with fake floor debates and hearings while the House was in recess to promote an energy (??) bill.
Could Stockman and a couple of allied Congresscritters use similar tactics to give the birthers the _illusion_ of Congressional hearings? $DEITY knows they’ve enthusiastically embraced fake “evidence” from a fake “law enforcement organization” and its fake “experts”, so maybe Stockman and the CCP could run another con to keep the publicity and donations flowing a little longer.
The email contact forms that I’ve used in the past asks for a Zip code. A Zip code out of the district prevents the contact.
They love back room Grand Juries, so why wouldn’t they love faux Congress hearings?
But I don’t think Stockman will taint himself that much. He’s a panderer, not a believer. He’s a politician, and he knows playing to the base gets him votes, but going down the rabbit hole gets him taitzified.
Also, I don’t buy the claims he has “allied Congresscritters” who would openly support birtherism. The entire “30 to 40 Congress members believe Obama illegitimate” story is crap from the get-go. I think it started as “30 to 40 … think he should be impeached because …” but had nothing to do with birtherism. Only birthers changed the story to dream up their next OMG moment.

Birthers => Tea Party => shutdown => Ted Cruz becomes hero => Ted Cruz runs for Prez in 2016 => Ted Cruz is found ineligible => Obama is found ineligible by the same standards => VICTORY 😉
