I was drawn to the book about Obama and predictions of an economic crash. I found this prediction about Obama and the economy from three years ago:

“With a 2013 American economic collapse that will also disable the entire West, the world’s uncivilized rogues from Russia, to China, to North Korea, to the Middle East Islamists dreaming of renewed world conquest, will all be tempted probably beyond resistance and reason to strike. They don’t need even to attack the homeland to deal America a decisive defeat.”

I’m getting a kick out of the renewed emphasis on Benghazi. It sounds like the Republicans are scrambling to change the subject from the good news about ObamaCare

It’s more like they can read the polls that say Hillary beats every named republican opponent in ’16. Before too much more time passes, Birferism will look quaint and respectable, compared to what they’ll unload on Secretary Clinton.

They have visions of impeaching Obama because it worked so well the last time they tried it.

The numbers are only going to grow and by 2016 it will all be over for the naysayers.

They’ll continue to beat the drums between now and November to try and impact the mid-terms but even that is fading away…..hence Benghazi (please insert graphic in big screechy letters)!!!

The Republicans released the results of a survey the other day which showed that only 67% of the ACA enrollees had paid their initial premiums.

They quickly backtracked when it was pointed out that the cutoff date for the survey was April 15 but roughly 3 million enrollees had initial premium payments which weren’t due by April 15.

In their rush to discredit Obamacare, the Republicans neglected to ask the salient question, which is what percentage of enrollees are late with their first premium payments rather than what percentage haven’t paid yet.

I expect that the percentage of enrollees who pay their premiums on time will come in around 85%. With 8 million enrollees, that would come out to 6.8 million who paid their initial premiums on time.

I agree. I think the “new” Benghazi craze is about the former Secretary of State. I expect birther-types will soon shift gears and start focusing on the unnatural, illegitimacy of a female President. David Barton–the RWNJ “expert-historian” is already explaining why the founders made sure that women couldn’t vote under the Constitution. And Phyllis Schlafly is back on stage explaining why it’s unnatural and destructive for women to take men’s jobs. I expect it will get a lot uglier…

And it will make a lot more independents turn away from the RepublicanParty ….

Yes, it’s the old moving-the-goalpost trick. They’re saying that the numbers who have paid haven’t met the expectations for how many would sign up.

    Apples and oranges. Pretty pathetic.

There are so many anti-Obama books for one reason: because there’s a market for them.
The conservative movement never was much more than a well-funded scam organized by the wealthy to promote their own interests.
Now, however, a lot of low level con artists have gotten in on the grift. Thar’s gold in them thar idiots.

Something I’d like to know, but is probably almost impossible to find out, is what fraction of sales of anti-Obama books are purchases by groups funded by the Koch brothers et al, who then give them away.

I have no doubt there are plenty of Americans who hate Obama and agree with anything negative about him — but I do wonder how many are willing to shell out money for these books.
