Martin publishes an “inspirational biography” on his personal web site, The Andy Martin Story.   He holds a JD degree from the University of Illinois but was denied admission to the Illinois bar. Additional biographic information is found on the Wikipedia. He describes himself as a consumer advocate and “The People’s Attorney General.” Federal judge Cabranes said Martin’s practice was to file “an incessant stream of frivolous or meritless motions, demands, letters to the court and other documents…”

Martin first came to the attention of this writer as a result of his filing a lawsuit in Hawaii to see Barack Obama’s birth certificate. Martin suggests Barack Obama’s father is Frank Marshall Davis (a black poet and activist with alleged communist ties) rather than Barack Obama Sr. The New York Times called Martin: “The Man Behind the Whispers About Obama”.

As of February 2008 there was an outstanding arrest warrant for Martin in Florida for violating the terms of his probation.

The U.S. District Court for District of Connecticut wrote in an order on June 23, 1983, granting a permanent injunction (retrieved from the Lexis database) against Martin that his “recent suits have taken on the ugly taint of anti-Jewish bigotry and suggest a substantial deterioration of an already problematical personality.” From the order:

Anthony R. Martin-Trigona’s recent suits have taken on the ugly taint of anti-Jewish bigotry and suggest a substantial deterioration of an already problematical personality. In one such action, of which this court takes judicial notice, he referred to a United States Bankruptcy Judge as a “crooked, slimy Jew, who has a history of lying and thieving common to members of his race.” Martin-Trigona v. Lavien, Civ. No. 83-2944 (S.D.N.Y.), Unsworn Declaration in Support of Motion to Recuse, para. 2 The complaint in the above-captioned case of Martin-Trigona v. Lavien, Civ. No. H 83-305 (D.Conn.), is replete with such accusations and charges…

The CBS News program “48 Hours” in 1993 devoted an hourlong program, “See You in Court; Civil War, Anthony Martin Clogs Legal System with Frivolous Lawsuits,” to what it called his prolific filings. (Mr. Martin has also been known as Anthony Martin-Trigona.) He has filed so many lawsuits that a judge barred him from doing so in any federal court without preliminary approval.

Dr. C., I wasn’t sure where to put Andy Martin’s articles but figured this was as good a place as any. Move it if you think there is a better category for this article.

  2. bogus info says:

It amazes me how the “patriots” uphold this part of the Constitution:

“No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States.”
However, they totally ignore this part of the Constitution:
The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the Members of the several State Legislatures, and all executive and judicial Officers, both of the United States and of the several States, shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution; but no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States.

Yet they say we “cherry pick.”
