The “other” Obama conspiracy theories

This blog has been more narrowly focused on Barack Obama’s presidential eligibility than its blog title, Obama Conspiracy Theories, suggests. There are many other Obama conspiracy theories out there, widely available on talk radio, books and video.

FEMA conspiracy theories

The Federal Emergency Management Agency is the part of the Executive Branch tasked with emergency preparedness and disaster recovery. It has considerable power to step in during an emergency, and whenever there is power, there is fear of its abuse, and whenever there is fear, there are conspiracy theories.

Disaster scenarios weave well into Christian millennialism, a belief in an apocalyptic end off the world which is expected soon (where the definition “soon” has been refined since at least the 2nd century CE). I call your attention to the Now The End Begins website and their article by Geoffrey Grider: Obama’s Private Army and FEMA Dentention [sic] Camps. It says:

Obama’s private army plus FEMA camps equals American detention camps
So far I have shown you two facts that cannot be disputed. The first fact is that President Obama’s Healthcare bill mandates the creation a civilian army chosen by him and answerable to him. The second fact is that FEMA has been commisioned [sic]to create "national emergency centers" that will be located inside existing military bases. Now I ask you – is it a HUGE leap to put the two together and see where we go from here?

The lengthy article is filled bits of official documents and video clips that make up the dots Grider connects to build his theory. This is the a classic conspiracy theory than the usual birther stories. It is the lone investigator collecting masses of information that is interpreted to reveal the conspiracy – a conspiracy that is in plain sight for those who just look at it the right way.

There are other theories related to the “private army” that conspiracy theorists see in the healthcare legislation. Representative Louie Gohmert (R – TX) introduced this conspiracy theory on the floor of the House according to Nsenga Burton in an article at The Root:

Gohmert injected the conspiracy theory into the Congressional Record by stating that the president’s decision to get involved in Libya may be an effort on his part to "so deplete the military that we’re going to need that presidential reserve-officer-commissioned corps and noncommissioned corps that the president can call up on a moment’s notice involuntarily, according to the ‘ObamaCare’ bill.

HAARP

While on the disaster theme, one other popular conspiracy theory blames natural disasters on human agency.  The High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program (HAARP) is a project to study atmospheric physics. Conspiracy theorists say that it’s weather and earthquake control.

Now that Obama is in office, the invisible hand behind the earthquakes and floods shifts to a liberal billionaire, George Soros. One writer said:

I humbly propose that the unprecedented tornadoes, flooding, earthquakes, and volcanoes we’ve seen are within the capability of our technology to manufacture through HAARP, and that the Soros machine may have at its disposal a stick so large that it could threaten to annihilate any given area while still having plausible deniability.

This was offered by way of explanation for Obama’s birth certificate from Hawaii, released April 27. Supposedly Obama threatened the State with a natural disaster to force them to be complicit in a fraudulent birth certificate .

Vaccination/healthcare conspiracy theories

There are several variants of these theories, all related to a belief that the government will be exerting more control over the lives of individual citizens. The most notorious of these was the “death panels” rumor championed by Republican vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin.

One version is that teams of vaccinators will force their way into private homes to vaccinate children against their parents’ wishes. It stems from the word “interventions” in draft legislation. A fictional dialog between an intervention team and a parent is widely copied. One examples is from the Mommy Life web site:

Home visits? What exactly is the state going to do when it sends people to "implement interventions" in private homes designed "to improve immunization coverage of children"?

Conspiracy theories about health care legislation were particularly prevalent preceding the passage of the Affordable Care Act. Rachel Maddow catalogs some of them in this YouTube video, including a supposed plan to kill old people and deny health care to Republicans.

Rachel Maddow on Health Care Conspiracy Theories

Not to be outdone by Palin, 2012 Republican presidential candidate Michele Bachman (R – MN) claimed just last month that President Obama wants Medicare to go bankrupt as part of a conspiracy to force everyone into “Obamacare” according to Steve Benen at the Washington monthly who includes other conspiratorial tidbits from candidate Bachmann.

Destruction of America and the New World Order

A number of conspiracy theories interpret pretty much every action of the Obama Administration as aimed at destroying the country. Often these conspiracies suggest that Obama is precipitating a crisis through which a New World Order, a secret (well not hardly a secret) cabal of powerful individuals, will take over. It’s well summed up by this introduction to the video which follows:

The Obama phenomenon is a hoax carefully crafted by the captains of the New World Order. He is being pushed as savior in an attempt to con the American people into accepting global slavery.

We have reached a critical juncture in the New World Order’s plans. It’s not about Left or Right: it’s about a One World Government. The international banks plan to loot the people of the United States and turn them into slaves on a Global Plantation

Global warming conspiracies

Some conspiracy theorists view international action to combat global warming as thinly-concealed power grabs. Obama proposals such as the Carbon Tax are viewed as a means towards world domination. In this video, radio talk show host Alex Jones presents his own version under the label “Climate-Gate.”

Alex points out that this scheme is just the implementation of a larger-scale plan to de-industrialize the already developed world and maintain control over the emerging spheres– from Maurice Strong to Paul Ehrlich & now-Science Czar John P. Holdren, top globalists have targeted human activity as a negative and implemented eugenics policies to breakdown mankind’s natural order.

Alex Jones video

Here is the second installment of the Jones video. Jones, the author of a DVD on this topic, Fall of the Republic, wrote:

President Obama has brazenly violated Article 1 Section 9 of the US Constitution by seating himself at the head of United Nations’ Security Council, thus becoming the first US president to chair the world body.

A scientific dictatorship is in its final stages of completion, and laws protecting basic human rights are being abolished worldwide; an iron curtain of high-tech tyranny is now descending over the planet.

A worldwide regime controlled by an unelected corporate elite is implementing a planetary carbon tax system that will dominate all human activity and establish a system of neo-feudal slavery.

Aliens

imageDid I mention aliens? Presuming for the moment that Barack Obama himself is not an alien [pun intended], there are other conspiracy theories about the Obama Administration and aliens including this from UFO Blogger:

Honolulu Exopolitics Examiner Dr. Michael Salla has provided insights into the valuable potential for release of anti-gravitic technology by centralization of energy issues under the Obama’s Administration’s National Security Council. The release of anti-gravitic technology into the civilian market place will begin to erode the monopoly of petroleum and nuclear power, which now provide 90% of energy needs. If the National Security Council chooses to continue the 1953 Robertson Panel policy of banning the extraterrestrial public policy issue (as the White House website has already done), then the centralization of energy and other issues in the National Security Council is not a good development for extraterrestrial disclosure, whatever its impact on energy policy might be.

Osama bin Laden not dead

Theories that Osama bin Laden is not dead, or has been dead for a long time are all over the Internet, and Barack Obama “knows it.” The Telegraph wrote:

Anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan, whose son was killed in Iraq in 2004, wrote on Facebook: "I am sorry, but if you believe the newest death of OBL, you’re stupid. Just think to yourself – they paraded Saddam’s dead sons around to prove they were dead – why do you suppose they hastily buried this version of OBL at sea?"

The truth is out there

This article has only scratched the surface of conspiracy theories which involve Barack Obama, including the incredible revelation that Barack Obama and Sarah Palin are the same organism!

The interesting thing about most of these is that they transcend simple political ideology (in general) and are carried over year after year, regardless of who is in the White House. The only difference is that the story changes to adapt it to the current administration and then the partisan crazy conspiracists attach themsevles to it. Some of the hard-core folks making these same rants for years will at least honestly refer to their past claims and take “pride” in having many years of “being in the know”.

Whereas others laughably seem to get amnesia about the same claims being made about the prior administration and treat these topics as if they are somehow some “new” conspiracy that proves the current administration is up to no good.

These cranks are just another version of the “any day now” crowd and they’ll probably be rocking back and forth chanting their variations of that same mantra for the rest of their lives, despite the fact that nothing ever happens in reality to match up to their predictions. Just like the End of The Worlders that don’t give up after their latest prediction date fails to materialize (over and over and over again).

It really blows my mind how people can see their predictions FAIL repeatedly, yet never get a clue that *maybe* they are on the wrong path… How can some people be so unable to learn from their mistakes??? It really is the definition of terminal stupidity, if you ask me.

I think it’s like playing a slot machine.
One puts so much into it that “surely it will pay off soon.”
If they walk away now, all their previous efforts would be wasted.
In the case of Obama, many believe that everything he does is illegal.
So surely he’ll be caught soon. Any day now.

Then there’s Obama and his fearsome weapon HAARP. Here’s an example: Did HAARP take out Sen. Ted Stevens for exposing Obama’s weather war?.

Prominent birther Dr. Kate has talked about HAARP occasionally (and “chemtrails” too).

Here’s an example from an extremely deranged blog where HAARP is a frequent topic:

Obama is the first US president to order HAARP into action against foreign states and even the United States. HAARP has been ordered by Obama to create earthquakes, tsunamis, floods and heat waves in foreign states and in the US. The goal is to covertly kill as many people as possible.

Yeah, these laughable conspiracies are some modern “hi-tech” version of what in the past was them blaming God or Zeus or Odin for natural disasters. Some people’s minds obviously just can’t accept that natural disasters occur and are a normal part of how the world works. They have to see “intent” in everything…

    via birferdom’s top research pro:

I humbly propose that the unprecedented tornadoes, flooding, earthquakes, and volcanoes we’ve seen are within the capability of our technology to manufacture through HAARP, and that the Soros machine may have at its disposal a stick so large that it could threaten to annihilate any given area while still having plausible deniability.

If what I’ve seen is correct, FEMA inquired about millions of underwater body bags for use in a crisis in the New Madrid Fault Zone. We’ve been told that an earthquake of 7.7 or more is “expected” for that area soon, and the request for that number of body bags suggests that they “expect” an earthquake at a time when Mississippi River water levels are high enough that an earthquake would cause levees to break and thus cause major flooding in high-population areas.

Next week FEMA is supposed to have a “drill” for just such a scenario. Next week is also when the Mississippi River is supposed to peak at its largest capacity ever. An earthquake timed precisely when the water<is highest would break the levees and cause flooding to intense and sudden that millions would be killed. Which would require millions of underwater body bags…

Call me crazy, but if I lived along the Mississippi River I would get out of there as fast as a car could take me. Before next week for sure. And even where I’m at I’m bracing myself for martial law.

I find it hard to believe that Obama would post this blatant a forgery unless he was counting on there being no election in 2012. We’re already set up for a “terrorist attack” to hit any time as a result of the Bin Laden killing (which could have been done at any time and was specifically chosen for now), and FEMA has had a New Madrid Fault Line scenario such as next week presents in mind for a while.

And there has been a LOT of HAARP activity that surrounded the storms that resulted in the night-time tornadoes that were so deadly as well as the unprecedented concentrated rainfall amounts.

Every time Obama opens his mouth he lies, and when he “comforted” Birmington, AL he said that we can’t control where these storms occur but we can control how we respond to them. Considering the HAARP signals that were used to control where the deadly storms occurred I had to laugh ironically at his Freudian need to deny what nobody at that point was even accusing him of.

If what I’ve read is correct, the US governent in the 1980’s acknowledged that we have the technology to control the weather, earthquakes, and volcanoes. My daughter, just out of curiosity, asked her high school science teacher if we have the ability to control the weather. He said we have the ability to control WHERE particular weather events happen.

And it just so happens that huge rainfalls happened in the New Madrid Fault area, causing flooding of the Mississippi River after FEMA inquired about millions of underwater body bags for an event in the New Madrid Fault area…

Also interestingly, at a time when our national security is supposedly on high alert for terror attacks, one of our navy radar ships is docked in Seattle for “maintenance”. I don’t know enough about the science of it to know the significance, but it is the radar that would detect “x waves”, IIRC.

So if you’re thinking that I’m ignoring the bigger picture, I assure you that I’m not. It is a CRITICAL national security risk to have a foreign enemy in control of so much technology and to have an entire government and media that is engaged in so much criminal activity on behalf of somebody allied with both the communists and Islamists who have sworn to destroy this country.

Thanks for the HAARP angle. I’ve added it to the article. Bz’s “next week” would have been June 1.

Should I bother asking why the president would need another army on top of the one he already has?

Also, isn’t “civilian army” an oxymoron? By joining any army, you immediately lose civilian status.

I haven’t read the rest of your post or any of the comments. That one just popped out early on.

It’s another blatant lie promoted by Porn Stache Joey’s Whirled Nut Dummies:

“Lie No. 2: Obama wants to create a police state apparatus”

I guess that someone forgot to tell her that all ships need to go into drydock from time to time. This particularl ship is designed to track incoming ICBMs, and I don’t believe that the terrorists have any.

Except that a slot machine *will* pay out eventually…

    Or not.

Oz Crown Casino accuses winning woman of fraud, refuses to pay jackpot

NZ Casino refuses to pay jackpot

There is another instance of Crown Casino in Melbourne refusing to pay out on dozens ‘wins’ shortly after they opened (however I cannot find the reference). The Casino made the assertion that “the machines were not supposed to payoff”.

Yes you read that right: the Casino had machines that were not supposed to pay off. And they won the subsequent court case.

It seems that a machine that has a payoff schedule of once every ten thousand games, isn’t allowed to randomly choose when that ‘once’ is. It isn’t random, and if it pays off after a few hundred games it is “broken” and “the casino is not liable to payout on faulty machines”.
