Satan orders man to kill birthers

Adam Eugene Cox“Satan” has weighed in on the Obama birth controversy in a much more visible way, this time on the side of the O-bots, reports the Phoenix New Times blogs. According to Internet comments from a Tennessee man, Adam Eugene Cox (pictured right), Satan ordered him to kill birthers, starting with Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio. Cox wrote:

I plan to kill Joe Arpaio first.. He will be filled with a thousand bullet holes before the year is out., I promise you this. He won’t fuck with Obama.

He will be buried 10 feet under and his whole family will be murdered along with him.

Don’t like it? Come stop me. Come die before me.

Cox also made threats against Alan Keyes and Michael Savage at Obama Release Your Records, a “birther” web site known for publishing demeaning images of Barack Obama and other anti-Obama content. In other comments, Cox expressed a desire that his murders would precipitate a war between left and right ending in the ultimate destruction of a significant part of the population of the country. Such language brings to mind themes from fiction such as The Turner Diaries about a race war.

Cox has been sentenced to a year’s probation and counseling.

The Obama Conspiracy Theories blog condemns all violence and threats of violence as a solution to the Birther problem

In remarks to Obama Conspiracy Theories, Cox acknowledges problems with anger, but says that he never actually intended to actually harm anyone, but became caught up in heated Internet political arguments and threats against Obama. He indicates that he is using this opportunity and the counseling he is getting to recover from personal tragedy and alcohol problems, and learning to deal with anger. He has gotten his GED in jail and hopes to attend college. He said:

Hatred truly consumes the soul and eliminates any rationality. I’ve had somewhat of a wakeup call as of lately. Getting the help I need and seeking it whole heartedly.

Sounds like a good start.

He obviously is not Jewish. Otherwise, he would have said ‘Soros ordered him to kill birthers.’

“Cox has been sentenced to probation.”

    Cue faux outrage in 1… 2… 3…

In all seriousness, the guy needs a shrink-rap session, and assuming he passes, some court-enforced offline time in the form of community service (i.e., trash-giggin’) time. I would say in maricopa, but that might be too harsh.

Offical JPotter predition (just in from the home office!): birthers will say the guys was coddled, the judge was in the tank, and if a birther pulled a similar stunt [never mind that they do so on a daily basis], said birther offender would receive the death penalty.

You’re at least one day late, all that already happened over at WND. 🙂

I usually point out to them that so far no birther has been jailed for the zillions of calls for President Obama to be hanged, or shot, or “taken care of”.

I managed to find a Tennessee source that reported this story, Knoxville’s channel 10, and even they based their story almost entirely on Arpaio’s press release.

    There’s something weird about that.

I think the guy is deranged but still should have gotten jail time.

Frankly these kinds of threats should be dealt with more seriously in order to make the non-deranged idiots think twice before making death threats.

I think those making threats like this to Obama, to Arpaio, or to my family should all be dealt with seriously and severely. I do not have any compassion when it comes to this kind of stuff- what happened to Rep Gifford is just to fresh to let this slide by.

The question that remains to be asked:

How much responsibility should be assigned to 0b0t sites for the numerous threats of violence that have occured against the Birthers?

On that question some others and myself have recently concurred that 0b0t sites are largely complicit in fanning the flames of hatred and have made the situation much worse.

We know from the 0b0ts daily postings and their archives – have on an almost daily basis starting from their beginnings – used the Herr Goebbels’s style and projected their own problems & obsession [based on our American history] with race onto the Birthers. How many of those reading 0b0t sites are swallowing these Big Lies as the truth? How many of those readers live on the edge and like Adam Eugene Cox could go off at any moment?

It’s one thing for an 0b0t to say they condemn all violence and threats and quite another thing when the archived works of the 0b0ts speak of a different story. As the saying goes: While I’m judging myself by my intentions, the rest of the world has been judging me by my actions.

As to myself, I’m no angel. From close to the beginning of the arrival of the 0b0ts I’ve been counter-punching their accusations with mocks and taunts.

As this campaign season heats up, indicators are showing this could possibly be one of the dirtiest ever.

This is an appeal to common sense.

I have no sympathy for the violently deranged, like this turd. It is time to stop taking these types of threats, from any source, lightly.

First, if there were no birthers there would be no Obots. Those of who oppose birthers are motivated by their extreme behavior. I express my opposition responsibly; Mr. Cox does not. Orly Taitz, for example has on several occasions identified federal judges she identifies as traitors who should be hung. I recently highlighted a video in which a birther volunteered to be Obama’s executioner. I could write a whole series of articles about birthers and their violent language.

Mr. Cox’s comment was not made here or on any anti-birther web site, but it was made on a birther smear site Obama Release Your Records that is enough to get any fair-minded person’s blood boiling. That is direct evidence that Cox is reacting to birthers, not incitement from anti-birthers.

So I would say that web sites like mine are a moderating influence in the angry-mob mentality provoked by birthers and I reject your unfounded assertion.

Absolutely none. None of the "anti-birther" sites have ever advocated violence, first of all.

Second, did you bother to read any of the news articles about Cox? His ultimate goal was to provoke a civil war in order to decimate the population of the United States of America. Where have you ever seen an anti-birther site advocate civil war or the decimation of the population of the U.S.A.? That's right-nowhere.

Look at the goal of this nut. He wanted to start a civil war and though that the killing of a birther would ignite one.

He saw that the birthers were on a hair trigger and would start the war he wanted. This isn’t as much as an indictment on obots as a calculated move to achieve a goal based on the assumption that birthers were the group who would start the war.

This is the equivalent of a false flag operation.

Yes, words can be dangerous. That is why it is important for people to learn to control their emotions. Words and deeds do and SHOULD have consequences, as you are now learning.

I truly do hope you succeed in learning that vital lesson and don’t slip from getting the help you need and learning to hold yourself to better account. Anger and personal loss are something we all deal with throughout life. One needs to not allow such things to become an excuse for poor behavior or irrational bluster. There is never an excuse to justify threatening someone’s life or family. Remember that.

FWIW, I don’t know if the “fanatical supporter” line actually began with the media. Arpaio’s office itself put that in its press release, and many of the reports have explicitly cited back to that press release:

    @ Dr. Conspiracy

You missed the point G & RuhRoh were making: The Right is touting/provoking/advocating for Civil War. I strongly disagree with their premiss from dealing with this some years ago. They’ve introduced statements to advance an argument – not me.

The subject matter they introduced had nothing to do with how many right-wing paramilitary groups or left-wing terrorist organizations are in the US.

The right-wing groups are self-funded home-grown domestic stock, while the left-wing groups are internationally connected with foreign funding.

I have rally pictures with signs, FBI reports, charts & maps that to some extent covers both what I was saying and yours too.

You give 127 figure for groups, but how much of that figure is actually credited to 0bumm0?

I didn’t realize Adam Cox was part of these 0b0t/anti-Birther sites. It does fit because he states he was involved online with the politics.

Would that be the international Jewish conspiracy, the Illuminati, the Bilderbergers, the reptoids or all of the above?

To answer your question, the number of militias doubled between the year before Obama took office and the year afterwards.

I think I will put the word “0bumm0” in the spam word list for automatic deletion of the comment.

Sorry Rambo Ike, but the statistics prove otherwise. If you want just a small sample list of RWNJ who have caused destruction and harm over the past several years alone, google these politically/ideologically motivated scumbags. In many of these cases, PEOPLE DIED or were harmed because of these crazy RWNJ. Others made deadly serious threats and unlike Mr. Cox, were found to have the weapons/materials capability to carry them out:

    1. Jim David Adkisson
    2. Daniel Coward
    3. Paul Schlesselman
    4. Richard Poplawski
    5. Hardy Lloyd
    6. Scott Roeder
    7. Kody Ray Brittingham
    8. James Von Brunn- BIRTHER!
    9. George Sodini
    10. Charles Dyer – BIRTHER & OATHKEEPER!
    11. Gregory Girard
    12. Harry Weisiger
    13. Hutaree Militia
    14. Brian “Sonny” Thomas
    15. Joseph Sean McVey – BIRTHER!
    16. Jerry Ralph Kane Jr & his son Joe
    17. Matthew Fairfield – OATHKEEPER!
    18. Bryon Williams
    19. Raymond Peake III
    20. Bruce Turnidge
    21. Joshua Turnidge
    22. James Cummings
    23. Kevin Harpham
    24. Schaeffer Cox
    25. Ralph Lang
    26. Stephen McDaniel – BIRTHER!
    27. Thomas Frederick
    28. Dan Roberts
    29. Ray Adams
    30. Samuel Crump
    31. Michael Jacques

I’m not even including what would be an equally long list of simply anti-government mentally ill folks who have taken similar disturbing actions towards what I consider to be domestic terrorism over the past few years. For this equally dangerous group, the main motivation seems to be simply unstable minds reeking of paranoia. I don’t have any evidence that they have any true political allegiance other than distrust for the government in general. But they are definitely also a very susceptible target group to any type of anti-government paranoia out there and are certainly a concern to “snap” when any of this type of “red meat” nonsense conspiracy garbage is allowed to fester.

There are also quite a few examples of RWNJ that simply mirror the irresponsible angry death threats/unacceptable behaviors that Mr. Cox displayed. Just a few more examples:

    1. Russel Hesch
    2. David Hesch
    3. Ashley Todd
    4. Stephen Joseph Christopher
    5. Johnny Logan Spencer
    6. Wiley Drake – BIRTHER!
    7. Walter Fitzpatrick – BIRTHER!
    8. Darren Huff – BIRTHER & OATHKEEPER!
    9. Charles Alan Wilson
    10. Gregory Guisti
    11. William Mattison – BIRTHER!
    12. Cheryl Allen

So, I think the PROOF is quite clear out there that there are MANY dangerous examples of RWNJ that have crossed the line AND who have caused REAL HARM over the past few years.

Rambo Ike: G: “Exactly. Nearly all of the nuts we see flogging fetish fantasies of Civil War are the RWNJ out there. It all comes down to this – anyone touting such sick fantasy desires and goals is wrong – period. They are majorly messed up in the head and should be roundly condemned by all. None of them deserve any sympathy. Only ire and contempt.”RuhRoh: “Second, did you bother to read any of the news articles about Cox? His ultimate goal was to provoke a civil war in order to decimate the population of the United States of America. Where have you ever seen an anti-birther site advocate civil war or the decimation of the population of the U.S.A.? That’s right-nowhere.”Sadly, you 2 are mistaken. It’s true there have been some individuals on the Right who have been running their mouths, but nothing has come of it. No organized efforts to support their talk. On the other side, the Left, where the 0b0ts reside, we’ve watched them for more than a decade back up their talk with groups run by the far-Left. Lots of destruction and the signs are as evil as it gets.

He is NOT part of these sites.

I am guessing he found his name referenced here on a google search or something. He has NOT posted here before.

That is nothing unusual. We’ve had lots of folks, such as Mr. Geir or Mr. Cox simply show up here to leave a reply, because there was a blog article that mentioned their names.

Oh SPARE ME the false-equivalency here!

I’ve given you a LONG LIST as just a sample of recent RWNJ HARM that has been done out there.

A lot of the others who have done actual domestic harm in modern times simply fall under either the category of “mentally ill anti-government paranoids” or Islamic Extremism.

I scratch my head to come up with any actual true “Left Wing” acts of Domestic Violence that has taken place. So I welcome your examples and challenge you to name groups that actually fit that criteria. The simple probability odds would assume that there should be a few that turn up, so I certainly would expect there to be some… but I sure can’t come up with any.

But it is certainly clear that the VAST MAJORITY of actual domestic violence in modern times falls into those 3 categories I’ve already mentioned – RWNJ, “anti-govt paranoid crazies” and Islamic Extremists.

Oh, and don’t waste our time pointing out kooky lefty activists who have done nothing more than “glitter bomb” someone or who’ve done nothing more than simply be Code Pink level obnoxious. Those are NOT the same thing at all.

The anti-globalist / anarchist crazies out there are just as likely to be right-leaning libertarian types as they are lefties…or simply just anti-government paranoids in general. Even so, there aren’t that many comparable plots & acts to the RWNJ list I gave that has happened in this country in recent years. So again – no apples to apples equivalent there either.

The only thing I can come up with as actual extremist lefty groups out there are the extremist environmentalist type wackos out there… and I haven’t really even heard stories about them in YEARS. Even when they made the news a long time ago, it pretty much amounted to acts of vandalism and nothing that compares to KILLING PEOPLE, as the RWNJ have repeatedly done.

So if you don’t have true apples-to-apples American examples, you’re just shooting your mouth off here again and coming up empty.

Rambo Ike: The right-wing groups are self-funded home-grown domestic stock, while the left-wing groups are internationally connected with foreign funding.

I’ve been participating in this blog since early 2009 and I never heard of Adam Cox until a couple of days ago.
