The encyclopedia of broken birther promises

He will soon be exposed for th phony he is and will be dragged from th Oval Office in chains!

You sick, twisted people will be held accountable for what you have done to this country!

— Heavy
Comment at Obama Conspiracy Theories, March 3, 2009

Heavy was a prolific commenter on this site in the early days, and it was a running gag how often he used the word “soon.” A commenter today offered another remembrance that I selected as today’s quote of the day (the day after the midterm elections):

Between now and the midterms, shocking revelations will be brought forward by Sheriff Joe.

— Mark Gillar
Twitter, April 5, 2014

Another commenter suggested a compilation, so I am offering a crowd sourced opportunity to build such a collection, which I will edit into a Feature page here on the site. My thoughts are that entries in the Encyclopedia should:

  • Be by an identifiable person
  • Be a prediction that could reasonably be said not to have proven right
  • Have the date the prediction was made
  • Have an Internet link to the quote

We’ll see how it goes.

You really must have the Orly Taitz video from 2009:

“PPSIMMONS has exclusive inside information that a surprising and potentially devastating eligibility event is scheduled to happen before the January 6th Electoral College certification, perhaps by the middle of December. This event most likely will be aired on national cable television and around the world exposing Obama’s ineligibility. The person doing the exposing is a Very Important Person with Constitutional standing to do the exposing of the evidence against Obama.”

“Within the last couple of days before the interview, Zullo had several lengthy meetings with VIPS who have promised to soon bring this case forward in an “official” manner. The VIPS are of “standing” and have the authority to bring the case forward. They have promised full public exposure to the case, the evidence, and to the hopeful ends of a full and official “hearing” of the matter.

Zullo says the public disclosure of the evidence and the push for definitive legal action may take from 3 – 6 months depending upon the “plan of action” that is being formulated by the VIPS who are already on board and the VIPS that they are trying to bring on board with them in this matter. ”

  4. Curious George says:

July 18, 2012 Mike Zullo on ABC 15 news.

Q: “Have you gained anything financially from this?”

Zullo: “No.” “….Never a motivation to make money on this.”

Q: “Will you gain anything in the future.”

    Zullo: “That I don’t know.”

According to Reilly, Zullo had already received the $10,000 check from Bill Wolf, in early May 2012, prior to Zullo making the statements above.

Zullo’s second statement? He didn’t know that the $10,000 check that he had apparently already received would be exposed in the future. I would think he gained a huge headache and the scorn of many with this revelation. Getting caught and losing one’s credibility is not a good thing for a pretend cop.

    ‘Obama blinked. Now game begins’
Author suggests disputed presidency won’t survive publication of book

Suggesting that Obama’s presidency will not survive the revelations contained in his book – which goes beyond the birth certificate controversy to document the multiple legal problems with Obama being a U.S. president – Corsi said, simply, “When people read the book, they will see that Obama is not eligible to be president.”

Pat Boone: What I’m going to predict here is by September of this year, the major smoking gun, which is a high crime, not just a misdemeanor, but a high crime, that supposed copy of the birth certificate that is displayed on the White House website as we talk, by many experts has already proven not to be not a copy of anything, of something that perhaps doesn’t exist, which is an actual birth certificate, but it is a Photoshopped fraud created to look like what they wanted it to look like.

Sorry that work pressures keep me from finding the links, but someone probably has the grandiose predictions made by the “Million xxx March” organizers, Klayman’s fizzled Thanksgiving turkey camp-out, and Operation American Sprinkle bookmarked.

  11. justlw says:

RanTalbott: but someone probably has the grandiose predictions

I started looking some of these up earlier, and got sidetracked and/or bogged down on what constitutes a documented “promise” and how seriously — even within the constraint of “birther serious” — these could be taken. Clearly the American Spring and Truckermania were comically overpromised and underdelivered, but they were also fronted by the nuttiest of the nutters.

On the other hand, I was having trouble pinning down a direct prediction from Dr. Kate on the Usurpathon — I was only finding articles referring to other events and pointing out that hers had un-taken not-place beforehand.

Going back still further, there was what may be the proto-event — Phil Berg asking people to bring their actual birth certificates so they could hold them up and shame Obama out of office. But again, I couldn’t find a specific attendance prediction from him.

Other events I wasn’t able to find specific promises for in a cursory search: Haskins’ Birfer Summit and the Arizona Birtherpalooza. So many events… so many no-shows…

I think one of the most awesome broken dreams happened when ALJ Malihi ruled in favour of MT Chair in the Georgia proceeding. After he denied both a motion to dismiss and a motion to quash Orly’s subpoena, they really believed they had won and it was the beginning of the end for Obama. That was reinforced by the farce in ALJ Malihi’s courtroom.

Birfer tears have never tasted sweeter. 🙂

  17. While we’re going down memory lane, here are some highlights from Judge Malihi’s decision:

“The Court finds the testimony of the witnesses, as well as the exhibits tendered, to be of little, if any, probative value, and thus wholly insufficient to support Plaintiffs’ allegations.”

    and

“None of the testifying witnesses provided persuasive testimony.”

Thinker (mobile): I think one of the most awesome broken dreams happened when ALJ Malihi ruled in favour of MT Chair in the Georgia proceeding

  18. RanTalbott says:

Dr. Conspiracy: “The Court finds the testimony of the witnesses, as well as the exhibits tendered, to be of little, if any, probative value, and thus wholly insufficient to support Plaintiffs’ allegations.”

And, as recently as a week or two ago, Farrar was still clinging to the claim that “little, if any, probative value is more than Obama has presented” like a child clutching a teddy bear in a hurricane.

It’s a pity that decorum prevented Malihi from telling him “You’re so full of it your eyes have turned brown”.

  19. RanTalbott says:

Does the claim that Alabama Supreme Court to Hear Sheriff Joe Evidence Against Obama Birth Certificate count?

The WorldNutDaily article that it links to quotes Zullo as saying, “We recently discovered new irrefutable evidence, which confirms, hands down, the document is a fraud.”

    Broken promises:
    1. A/Z did not present evidence: just the daffydavit.
    2. The court didn’t hear it, because
    3. It didn’t consider the eligibility question. Or the birth certificate.

I suspect the claim of “new irrefutable evidence” doesn’t quite make the cut to get on the list by itself, but it “endorses my candidate” 😉

Breaking news! Chief Justice of the Supreme Court John Roberts schedules a case by Attorney Taitz regarding Obama’s forged IDs to be heard in conference before the full Supreme Court

I won’t provide a link because it’s Orly’s House o’ Malware. The case was Noonan, Judd, MacLeran, & Taitz v Bowen. It was of course a routine distribution of a case for conference and was dead filed, so it was never heard by SCOTUS.

  23. J.D. Sue says:

Re: Harry Riley, I quote below from Mother Jones in January 2014 about his planned May 2014 march on Washington. In addition, I think Riley predicted 10-30 million would show up.

    From Mother Jones:

“We have 1.8 million definite militia members coming,” promises Operation American Spring spokeswoman Karen Smith. (The Anti-Defamation League pegs the number of American militia members at about 20,000.) “Other than that, we’re not keeping a list of concerned people or whatever because how are we gonna do that?”

According to Riley’s introductory note, which he posted on Facebook, about 1 million activists will stick around DC after the march in a nonviolent attempt to shut the city down. According to the the document, the real work will occur after the transfer of power: “Those with the principles of a West, Cruz, Lee, DeMint, Paul, Gov Walker, Sessions, Gowdy, Jordan, Issa, will comprise a tribunal and assume positions of authority to convene investigations, recommend appropriate charges against politicians and government employees to the new U.S. Attorney General appointed by the new President.”

  24. J.D. Sue says:

Here’s some recent (Oct. 16, 2014) Jedi Pauly promises that will be broken any day now:

” . . . I am totally capable of doing this myself and an attorney will just mess it up and not be able to do the brilliant job that I can do.. . . Then they go into the decision phase which should happen within short order and they will then grant my asylum, I have no doubt.

So with a little luck, by the first or second week of November, I will be granted full asylum and be out of this hell-hole and then I will have the mantle of authority that we need to get Obama removed from Office. Until then, I just have to endure the suffering of being locked up in a maximum security concentration camp for political refugees….”

BS’er will undoubtedly post comments about how Birther Report is really a “DARPA-Bot” now – or rather, TRY to post those comments. Something tells me those will get 86’d tout suite.

Of course, this will only escalate ol’ Barry’s feelings of paranoia. I just hope the voices in his head don’t tell him to hurt anyone. But he can comfort himself by creating some nifty new Doc/Gerbil images. Whatever…

Because he has something to hide.

I don’t know what it is.”

Had he not asked for a review of the Cold Case Posse “evidence” by Maricopa County Attorney William Montgomery, we may have never known that Montgomery had already reviewed the information and called it speculation. Montgomery said he had no jurisdiction to take action and it would need to be proven President Obama was not a U.S, citizen. The Cold Case Posse had already struck out, and the public knew nothing about it until Reilly wrote to the Maricopa Prosecuting Attorney’s Office. This pretty well shows the “investigation” was a sham then and it remains a sham today.

Falcon’s behaviour on Gerbil Report reminds me a lot of these guys. (Those who toot the same “any day now” horn are likely his sock puppets b/c the generic birther seems to have given in to desperation.)

Well, it should have: when I first saw the videos from the first press debacle, I thought it was a real investigation, using real (alleged) professionals from the MCSO. I was stunned by the level of incompetence I saw, and I think I commented out loud that it would open the door to criminals’ appealing their convictions, if they were based on forensic testimony.
