When was Obama’s daddy born?

Barack Obama Sr. born 193?

Recently, a set of documents from Barack Obama’s father’s immigration file was released under the Freedom of Information Act. The first document, the alien registration card for Barack Obama, Sr., contained a surprise. While the exact date of Obama’s birth has not been reliably sourced in the past, the year has always been taken to be 1936, and indeed that is what is inscribed on his tombstone in Kenya. His alien registration form tells a different story, that Obama Sr. was born June 18, 1934. If this is true then he was 27 years old when President Obama was born, not 25 like it says on the birth certificate. Obama Sr. signed a document in the same month that Barack Obama was born stating that he was born in 1934 (FOIA document page 35-36).

A later document in the FOIA set, titled “Report of Investigation,” shows the date of birth as June 18, 1936, which supports the age of 25 on the birth certificate. Following is a tabulation of all the dates of birth in the FOIA including documents from the University of Hawaii and Barack Obama Sr., the date they were written and whether Barack Obama Sr. signed them. I appears that prior to 8/10/62 all dates of birth point to 1934 and every document Obama actually signed after 6/6/63 used the 1936 date.

Reported dates of birth for Barack Obama Sr. in report order. Click for Excel spreadsheet.

The important fact, I think, is that all documents point to Barack Obama being born on June 18, and this leads us to wonder why the POSFKBC (a purported Kenyan birth certificate of Barack Obama) does not give this for his father’s date of birth.

An alternate title for this story was : OBAMA REGISTERED AS FOREIGN STUDENT: SHOCKING NEW PROOF IN GOVERNMENT DOCUMENTS!

The NC1 should demand to see Obama Sr.’s long form birth certificate. Was he born in a hospital or was it a home registration by his grandparents?

  2. The purported Kenyan BC also conflicts with an INS memo dated 8/31/1961 (p 34 of image file), which states that Obama Jr. was born in Honolulu 8/4/1961.

They’ve actually gone beyond that. They’re now shrieking on some sites that the timeline proves Obama’s mother and Barak Sr. were never actually married, thus making the President a b*****d. And obviously, the Founding Fathers never intended for a b*****d to be a natural born citizen. Because, well, because HE’s A B*****D!

    And he’s black, too.

  9. Dear Dr. Conspiracy,

You are starting to sound like a combination of Orly Taitz (Queen of ‘public search’ data) and Jerome Corsi (pasty white cracker that attempts to psychoanalyze the love life and other actions of an African man that was born in 1936 in Kenya Colony).

In any event, I’m always puzzled as to why Americans always try to rationalize the whole world with their Americans norms. It sort of makes me sick now and then when I read drivel from Obots, and even sometimes from fellow Birthers, attempting to explain everything in the world with their American norms.

Typically, in American, if you want certain privileges, you’ll need documents such as a State identification card or State drivers license, AND you’ll need a full date of birth (full DOB). Most Americans and foreigners that reside in USA and do not know their exact dates of birth choose to adopt and official date of birth. I know an older people married couple (I first meet them in 1993 with my parents) that are from the American south (not to be confused with South America) that don’t know their exact dates of birth but they do have a State identification card which lists a full date of birth.

Life, in the USA, without your full date of birth, would be (and is) very complicated. You wouldn’t even be eligible for a cellular phone service with companies such as T-Mobile and AT&T.

I suggest that Americans take off their blinders for a moment before attempting to explain away, with American norms, the actions of Africans and other foreigners.

    Thanks.

PS- Even Kenyan born Tom Mboya adopted an ‘official date of birth’. In truth, Mboya didn’t even know what year he was born. Most Americans and Western Europeans are obsessed with ‘dates’. Many other cultures couldn’t care less and the only reason that some of them care nowadays is because Britain’s long reign of anal retentive rule has forced lots of the world to now join that way of life if they wish to progress and grow.

I once listened to a woman giving ‘tear jerking’ speech at an humanitarian event. She was talking about how many Africans are born without any record of it and live their whole lives without identification records, and die with out and record of their death. This woman was fighting back tears as she explained how sad it was that these Africans are born, live life, and then die, without any record of their life, as if they didn’t exist.

I almost wanted to slap that pasty cracker in the face. Are you telling me that a human being doesn’t exist with identification? And just ‘who’ is it that doesn’t know that these people ever existed? Certainly it’s not their family, friends, lovers, wives, neighbors, etc. So just ‘who’ is that didn’t know that they existed? Oh, I forget, it’s a pasty cracker sitting in Britain eating crumpets and drinking tea that needs the statistical data for a a report that she/he is writing.

LGF is a great site. That was an interesting story by them, pointing out what a total nutbag “Pamela ‘Shrieking Harpy’ Geller” is and warning us of her latest “Bastard Gate” approach to Birtherim, now that her “Layergate” nonsense won’t get any traction.

The comments by the wonderful LGF crowd are a must read too. They really skewer her and this latest Birtherism nonsense and call it out for what it is.

One can only hope that media tolerance for such nonsense is nearly over and that even Fox News will soon kick this crazy and hate-based woman to the curb. It speaks volumes about Roger Ailes networks that he allows someone as crazy and vile as Geller to be a fairly frequent contributor… *ugh*

“Obama was born in a hospital that did not yet exist and his father was born in a country that did not yet exist.

    Subject: birth certificate.

    Interesting…. from a friend of mine….. in Michigan …

    Here we go again!!!!!!
As you all know, Donald Trump made a big deal about Obama’s birth certificate. As of yesterday, the White House released the birth certificate.

I will tell you right now that I had never given this “birther” issue any credit. I watched the hype and the crazies come out. I completely dismissed the entire ordeal altogether. In fact, it was not until the White House released the birth certificate that it had gained my attention.

I am the studious sort of guy, and I have plenty of time on my hands. So, I took a close look at this document. While I would have thought that this issue would have been closed for good (and, got the crazies to crawl back into their holes), I found two extremely strange inconsistencies that merit some attention.

First of all, the birth certificate that the White House released lists Obama’s birth as August 4, 1961. It also lists Barack Hussein Obama as his father. No big deal, right? At the time of Obama’s birth, it also shows that his father is aged 25 years old, and that Obama’s father was born in ” Kenya , East Africa “. This wouldn’t seem like anything of concern, except the fact that Kenya did not even exist until 1963, two whole years after Obama’s birth, and 27 years after his father’s birth. How could have Obama’s father have been born in a country that did not yet exist? Up and until Kenya was formed in 1963, it was known as the “British East Africa Protectorate”. But, this is not the only thing that I found that just does not jive.

The other item that I looked into was the hospital that Obama was born in. On the birth certificate released by the White House, the listed place of birth is “Kapi’olani Maternity & Gynecological Hospital”. This cannot be, because the hospital(s) in question in 1961 were called “KauiKeolani Children’s Hospital” and “Kapi’olani Maternity Home”, respectively. The name did not change to Kapi’olani Maternity & Gynecological Hospital until 1978, when these two hospitals merged. How can this particular name of the hospital be on a birth certificate dated 1961 if this name had not yet been applied to it until 1978?

Go ahead, look it up. I am not talking crazy talk, these are the facts. Like I said, I thought that this was a non-issue until the actual certificate was released. Now that it has been released, of course I had to look into it. I have found these issues, now I know that something is up. If you doubt me, just look at the following resources:

Sure as hell, the hospital part is true, as you can read about the 1978 merger here.”

Ahh…standard concern trolling tactic…using the old dodge of FOAFing (“Friend of a Friend” – a tactic of making a made up story seem credible because of anonymous attribution of familiarity) in order to try to appear credible.

In other words, this is nothing but a Birther trying to pull the same “he’s not one of us” or “there’s something you can’t trust about this guy” BS, by trying to pretend he’s not really a Birther…

I expect we’ll see a lot more of this tactic going forward, as Birtherism is being increasingly mocked and relegated to the deep fringes, where it always belonged.

The “more aware” members of this meme will try to “pretend” they aren’t Birthers, yet still do what they can to sow the same insidious nonsense doubts…

Really, it is the same tactic that racists have been using for decades to try to cover their true racism and switch to “dog-whistles” as they know they can’t get away with being more overt in society anymore…

Since the Birthers and their ilk are anti-fact and really don’t look things up anyways, the propaganda spinners for such movements are inherently lazy.

They can make up nearly any ludicrous statement and as long as it appeals to the “gut” fears/hatreds of their gullible followers, with little fear of getting caught… at least not by their target audience. In fact, not one thing on your fake birth certificate that was not already public information has been borne out by new information, and several things (like Obama Sr’s birthday and who the hospital administrator really was) have gone sour. I don’t even have to mention the publication of Barack Obama’s long form birth certificate and the press release from the Hawaii Department of Health corroborating it. Your birth certificate continues to yellow under the spotlight of facts. It is irredeemably lost. It does not even bear further discussion except to note when some new part flakes off and falls to the floor.

[OK, folks. Was I too easy on him?]

katahdin: Since Obama Sr. was on an academic scholarship that was predicated on the agreement that he would return to Kenya, he might not have wanted to disclose his son to anyone in an official capacity who could terminate his scholarship.

I agree. In addition, he may have feared it could screw up his visa status…that is, that they would assume he wanted permanent residency and could therefore make him leave and leave and apply for permanent residency.

On the other hand, the interview memorialized in the memo at screen 34 shows he disclosed the birth to the INS interviewer.

Yes. You are operating on the position that Lucas is rational. That’s the mistake most others make when they respond to the nutjobs who post here.

Yes, but in then end Mr. Smith is just a con man, not a true believer – not a very good con man, either, if he hasn’t figured out this well is dry… but I guess we already knew that.

He should put the fake kenya BC on E-Bay. Label it for what it is and try to sell it as a piece of birther history. He should have sold it when he had the chance.

    Yeah. He’s a low life.

Actually, he’s one of the worst con men I’ve ever seen. He needs Olympic level shamelessness to try and compensate for what he lacks in brains. He does, however, have the fiirst rule of lying sleazebags down pat: never, ever ,ever back off of a lie, no matter how ridiculous you start to look.

Madoff is doing that from prison.

Just for fun, I decided to run another search for publications with “Kenya” in the title, this time for those published between 1934-1936 — just to give a sense of what the country was called during whatever year Barack Obama Sr. was born.

I scanned a couple of pages of “Africa A to Z” by Robert Kane, the first comprehensive travel guide to every country in Africa, copyright 1961. My original intent was to show that African was indeed considered a race. But from the page before I scanned…

“Kenya today is the most developed, most visited, and most publicized of the four British East African territories.” The author always refers to the territory as “Kenya”. http://www.scribd.com/doc/54152116/AFRICA-A-Z
