Birther shows up

With a few notable exceptions (e.g. Dean Haskins and Orly Taitz come to mind) birthers are in the main homebodies, preferring to express their sentiment online rather than showing up at gatherings.

The amazing thing about this story is that it is a story at all. At the Florida Republican Presidential Debate, sponsored by CNN, a birther showed up in the form of a plane flying overhead towing a “Where’s the real birth certificate? WND.com” banner. Tampa Bay Online covered the pre-debate activity in its article: Dems, protesters and birther show up before debate. “Daddy, tell me more about the birther.”

Reading the article, they mention a “birther” showing up, but the only description is a plane flying overhead with one of those lame WND “Where’s the BC” banners.

    Pretty weak.

  2. misha says:

G: the only description is a plane flying overhead

    “Da plane. Da plane.”

  3. Lord Basil says:

So where is the birth certificate?

You think after two fakes the third time will be a charm?

    ROTFLMAO!!!!

  4. Thrifty says:

Lord Basil: So where is the birth certificate? You think after two fakes the third time will be a charm?ROTFLMAO!!!!

Hawaii Department of Health, the authority that issues birth certificates to people born in Hawaii, stated that the birth certificates were genuine. Please explain why the state of Hawaii issued Barack Obama two fake birth certificates rather than simply creating genuine birth certificates with false information. Does the Treasury issue you counterfeit 20 dollar bills?

    You’re not making any sense.

Still, it makes more sense than Birther john’s weird insistence that an ink smudge is a “smiley face” that proves the long form is a forgery. My head still spins over the inanity of that one.

  7. Lord Basil says:

I don’t put anything past The Won, including corrupting state officials into putting out a fake birth certificate. I bet some of his SEIU union goons were behind it.

Neither deserves any credit whatsoever. Brain dead birtherism.

    zero sense = zero sense

Then all you would need to do is PROVE that both the Republican administration of previous Hawaii Governor Linda Lingle and the current Democratic administration of Governor Neil Abercrombie were corrupted.
But without proof, you’ve got nothing but rumor and innuendo and “The Won?” continues as the duly elected 44th President of the United States.
(I don’t think “Lord Basil” knows the difference between “one” and “won” (sic)

It would be cheaper for him to just purchase the entire country outright, than to fund the sort of conspiracy you birthers are proposing.

Birthers: People who fail at logic AND math

    That’s pure paranoia and despicable.

Who the devil is The Won?

Furthermore, supposing the very authority who issues birth certificates in Hawaii was complicit in this whole grand conspiracy? Why in God’s name would they FORGE one instead of simply issuing one with falsified information?

  13. Sef says:

Daniel: It would be cheaper for him to just purchase the entire country outright, than to fund the sort of conspiracy you birthers are proposing.

Not to mention that it would require some temporal and causality manipulations that are only capable with the able assistance of the BEEB.

Feel like a shower after reading some of that bile…….and I’m certainly well right of centre on most things. Clearly Lord Basil is, at best, an obnoxious ignoramus on so many levels.

This is a stupid claim. Any birth certificate issued and certified by a state’s issuing authority cannot be a forgery and in itself is authentic.

    Hear hear!

Unlike some birthers, the bigotry just oozes out of that one.

I think Lord Basil is gay………seriously, because who cares that much about something that has nothing to do with you???? I’m not gay. I don’t bash gay people and I think that you should live and let live. I believe when these folks harp on something like this, completely misinformed (evidenced by saying things like Lord Basil says….trying to turn our children gay”), they have some underlying issues.

It’s just too wierd to care this much about something that you say you are not.

“Yes Virginia, there is a birther in Florida.”

And we happen to know he is (or was) married to a Bulgarian.

    Bulgarian or vulgarian?

Obama’s birth in Kenya is physically impossible:

  23. Ellen says:

In addition to Misha’s work, which is superb. There are these six points:

    1. Obama’s two official birth certificates, with the state seals on them. (The official physical copy of the long-form birth certificate was handed around in the White House press room, and one reporter said that she had felt the seal and took a photo of the document. http://turningthescale.net/?p=541)

    2. The confirmation of the facts on the two birth certificates–that Obama was born in Hawaii–by THREE Republican officials in Hawaii.

    3. The notices of Obama’s birth in the Hawaii newspapers in 1961. (The claim that the notices could have been placed by lying relatives turns out to be false because whenever there was a claim of a birth outside of a hospital, Hawaii insisted on a witness statement.)

    4. The absence of a US travel document for Obama in 1961. Nor has there been an application for such a travel document found.

    5. This witness, who recalls being told of Obama’s birth in Hawaii in Kapiolani Hospital in 1961 and writing home about it http://www.buffalonews.com/incoming/article137495.ece (The birther allegation that Dr West had retired by 1961 turns out to be false).

    6. Obama’s Kenyan grandmother said repeatedly in the taped interview that he was BORN IN HAWAII, and she said in another interview (Hartford Courant) that the first that her family in Kenya had heard of Obama’s birth was in a letter FROM HAWAII.

  24. misha says:

Ellen: The confirmation of the facts on the two birth certificates–that Obama was born in Hawaii–by THREE Republican officials in Hawaii.

I have written this several times before, and it is worth repeating:

Linda Lingle, a Republican, is Jewish. She felt McCain/Palin would be far better for Israel than Obama. If she could have found anything, the GOP would have used it with glee.

That is why Orly and Berg are hounding Obama. They feel he is bad for Israel, and they truly believe they can drive him from office. Orly, without question, is trying to incite a lone wolf.

The Repugs, led by that shande Cantor, are encouraging Bibi to ignore, even tell off, Obama. This is what we are up against, and why I will never vote GOP:

Hey Ellen, Misha, maybe you guys should reread Pierre’s post.

Those who believe that Barack Obama was not born in the U.S.A. please provide proof or shut up.

    .

It seems that you are using birther refutations against a non-birther.

  26. misha says:

No, I fully understood Pierre’s post. I was simply providing additional proof, that his position is correct.

  27. Ellen says:

I have to admit that I missed the “not.”
