Book widget

I’ve changed the “Recommended Books” widget on the right sidebar to a visual slideshow. I did this primarily for fun to see how it worked, and secondarily to spiff up the appearance of the blog and make it a little more like a magazine in appearance.

A side effect of doing this is that the site now has advertising. If anyone actually buys a book by clicking on those images, I get a small cut. However, I’d be surprised if I ever reached the $10 threshold in commissions necessary for me to actually get anything. If Amazon does send me any money, I’ll just donate it to the Wikipedia or buy a Lemon-berry CreamSlush® at Sonic.

About Dr. Conspiracy

I'm not a real doctor, but I have a master's degree.

  1. Donate to Omar says:

Maybe you could donate to Uncle Omar’s defense fund?

How come you haven’t reported that story?

  2. Omar is not a fringe view or a conspiracy theory about Barack Obama. I am moving all the other comments to the Open Thread, as they are not relevant to the site’s book recommendations.

Angel loves Sonic’s hamburgers. Since I don’t drive after the stroke, I said from the back seat, I wanted a plain burger, no bun. After a confused exchange, I said it was for my dog.
