Obama tells his own birther joke

The Hill reports that Barack Obama, traveling in Florida, told his own birther joke yesterday in the wake of Mitt Romney’s birther joke that went over like a lead balloon a few weeks before.

The president made a stop at a local sports bar, Gator Dockside, where he made the rounds, speaking to patrons, according to a White House pool report.

At one table, Obama was told by an adult that a young boy at the table was “born in Hawaii.”

“You were born in Hawaii? You have a birth certificate?” the president asked, as the table broke into laughter.

There’s another reason not to vote for Mr. Romney. Can you imagine how painful the White House Correspondents’ Dinner would be?

The republicans won’t get the joke, as the seat he was addressing was filled.

and birfers are still not amused. in fact, they sound quite morose.

“Obama is smart enough to know that the media will ALWAYS have his back. He can get away with anything, including murder and the media will defend him. He knows he has absolutely nothing to worry about..he runs the press like a puppet master”

“Obama knows that he has America by the b*lls because Congress doesn’t have any.”

“The fact that the usurper has never been confronted by anyone in the media or opposition party for an explanation of just where the information for the born-in Kenya bio could possibly have come from other than him tells me everything I need to know about the issue. Obama is a total fraud and the entire political system is corrupt to the core. “

they’re barely able to muster the effort to declare this more good news for john mccain:

“Very revealing. Obama is always thinking about the BC issue. He has reason to fear it.”

  5. The story made the NBC TV News with a video clip. I’ll try to find it. In the mean time, birthers are all over The Hill and the article I linked above.

i remember, as a child, after standing several hours in a bread line in siberia, my mother telling me: “stop your crying. this is nothing. if stalin’s plans come to pass in just a few decades, no remaining american patriot will be able to stand even to hear a joke from our kenyan usurper.”

It is interesting to check the differences between obama’s and romney sponsors… if you check, obama is pretty much sponsored by important universities, while romney is sponsored by dark companies..

    check obama’s http://clnk.me/1wOvE.
    ,and romney’s http://clnk.me/1wEaE ,, contributors..

and then see the differenceI know obama will not be the best… but… at least there are no dark interest behind him and he promotes national products

Do you think Adelson will ever admit that he wasted over 100 Million dollars trying to buy this election?

  12. G says:

When all is said & done, he will have wasted a whole lot more than that. The $100 M figure I’m hearing is what he’s still pledging to add to this campaign.

So, that doesn’t take into account the multiple millions he’s spent so far, since the primaries began. Remember, he dropped quite a bit on Newt and some others in the primaries. He also spent quite a bit on that little fundraising trip for Romney in Israel. I suspect that he’s been quite busy contributing lots of “unlisted” money to the various RW Super-PACs and similar organizations. …And that doesn’t even include other races he’s probably throwing money at as well.

By the time the election is over and all is said and done, I suspect the true extent of money he’ll have pissed away will greatly exceed what anyone is aware of and talking about.

I thought the President’s joke was astute; he remains the only person born in Hawaii whose birth certificate is demanded everywhere he goes.

  14. LMK says:

I think Obama’s joke was brilliant! The more he makes fun of the birfers, the more the general public makes fun of them. Obama demonstrates that they are a group that has no impact on him.

    Well played, Mr. President!

I just saw a report from the Center for American Progress Action Fund that found Adelson could personally save $2 billion in taxes over the next 4 years if Romney were to win and was able to institute his tax policies. Seems like $100 million (or even $200 million) is not a terrible investment to make that happen.

  19. G says:

Shameful and sad. These folks are full of nothing but irrational, bitter hate for EVERYONE who does not act and think exactly as they do…
