The Hill reports that Barack Obama, traveling in Florida, told his own birther joke yesterday in the wake of Mitt Romney’s birther joke that went over like a lead balloon a few weeks before.
The president made a stop at a local sports bar, Gator Dockside, where he made the rounds, speaking to patrons, according to a White House pool report.
At one table, Obama was told by an adult that a young boy at the table was “born in Hawaii.”
“You were born in Hawaii? You have a birth certificate?” the president asked, as the table broke into laughter.

There’s another reason not to vote for Mr. Romney. Can you imagine how painful the White House Correspondents’ Dinner would be?
The republicans won’t get the joke, as the seat he was addressing was filled.

When all is said & done, he will have wasted a whole lot more than that. The $100 M figure I’m hearing is what he’s still pledging to add to this campaign.
So, that doesn’t take into account the multiple millions he’s spent so far, since the primaries began. Remember, he dropped quite a bit on Newt and some others in the primaries. He also spent quite a bit on that little fundraising trip for Romney in Israel. I suspect that he’s been quite busy contributing lots of “unlisted” money to the various RW Super-PACs and similar organizations. …And that doesn’t even include other races he’s probably throwing money at as well.
By the time the election is over and all is said and done, I suspect the true extent of money he’ll have pissed away will greatly exceed what anyone is aware of and talking about.
I thought the President’s joke was astute; he remains the only person born in Hawaii whose birth certificate is demanded everywhere he goes.
I think Obama’s joke was brilliant! The more he makes fun of the birfers, the more the general public makes fun of them. Obama demonstrates that they are a group that has no impact on him.

These folks would destroy America for their hatred of the President…they aren’t true Americans.
I just saw a report from the Center for American Progress Action Fund that found Adelson could personally save $2 billion in taxes over the next 4 years if Romney were to win and was able to institute his tax policies. Seems like $100 million (or even $200 million) is not a terrible investment to make that happen.
