What me virus?

Odd thing on Twitter:

image

The last thing I want is any kind of malware on this site. I use strong passwords and keep all the software current. To my knowledge, the site has never been compromised, nor had any malware on it. My role is to study, report and comment on the birther movement, not to be an active part of the story.

I think what this alleges is that the tweeter followed the link to the Birther Headlines page that was in my article. So far as I know, nothing is wrong with that site either. Here’s some more of the tweeting:

The links in my article were the long-published Birther Headlines web site (which is now invite only) and the site currently linked in the @birtherheadline Twitter profile.

  1. She is the most insane person on twitter.

Her goal is to get attention by any means possible.

According to the 100’s of tweets she sent me, every conspiracy ties in with her family, Clewiston Florida and Pablo Escobar.

  2. Like everyone else, I’m slightly confused as to what she’s accusing Doc of doing.

Best I can tell, one of her Twitter accounts was suspended, some other birther Twitter accounts got suspended, and she she’s blaming Doc simply because her suspension happened around the time she read that article.

So, it’s the usual “2 plus 2 equals 5” birther logic. Give ’em a coincidence, they’ll pick the least likely explanation and start spouting jargon to make it sound serious. Barger probably know even less about computer viruses than she does about birth certificates.

As a compliance officer with the International Jewish Conspiracy™, I wish to address your concerns.

Dr. Conspiracy is meeting all of our guidelines, and we are quite pleased with any havoc caused to those who deny the presidency of Barack Hussein Obama II.

I am authorized to tell you that we are in the midst of plans to crash the entire World Wide Web on January 1, 2016, so that B.H. Osama Obama will remain in office for life.

I am giving fair warning for people I like, such as you, so you will have plenty of time to stockpile food, water and linens. Also dog food, cat food and hamster food. Please be careful, because in times of turmoil, people have been known to resort to cannibalism, like Alferd E. Packer and the Donner party.

    May the Lord protect you.

  4. @OwensBarger2 @CatPing

I want to amplify my warning about stockpiling food. As Woody Allen once said, death means no more midnight snacks.

I’d join you in Heaven, but first I want to know the hours and if they have change for a twenty.

Could both of you get back to me about that? Thanks.

We had an agreement. Thanks for spilling the beans. NOT.

  9. A rich man borrowed a kopek (Russian penny) from a poor man. When the poor man came to the rich man’s house the next day to get his kopek, the rich man told the poor man that he would have to wait unless he had change for a 100.

Where I grew up, Heaven would not have change since it is Heaven, not a bank. As for the hours, it is closed on Sundays.

If Michelangelo had depicted heaven as it really is- volcanoes on Venus and all, people prolly wouldn’t be in such a hurry to get there. We’ll wait.

  15. Northland10: Heaven would not have change

    Woody Allen –

Two things I want to know about heaven. What are the hours, and do they have change for a twenty?

I’m not afraid of death; I just don’t want to be there when it happens.

    To you, I’m an atheist.
To God, I’m the loyal opposition.

If only God would give me some clear sign! Like making a large deposit in my name at a Swiss Bank.

  16. Bill Withered says:

I would not worry too much about it. This is one virus that cannot be contracted by anybody who is not already infected.

  17. The Magic M says:

It’s another example of a symptom of conspiracy believers – the “post hoc, ergo propter hoc” fallacy.

Just remember how Orly always blames her infested blog on “Obot hackers” when instead it happens every time she copy/pastes an entire web page into her blog.

Or she sends out 5,000 mails on Google, runs into a limit and blames the FBI for blocking her email.

No wonder most birthers are afraid of coming out of their echo chambers. Probably most of them had a “the one time I visited CNN, the next day my computer crashed” experience. Of course the next 25 crashes after visiting WND are to blame on NWO stooge Bill Gates (“I still use Windows 95 so the NSA can’t watch me through my webcam”).

  18. Can’t we all just get along?

But more seriously, Betteridge’s Law of Headlines mostly works on this site, but not always. A counterexample is this one:

Is Ted Cruz a natural born citizen?

And this one which remains unanswered:

Is Orly Taitz smarter than a 5th grader?

It certainly looks like bombs, rather than nat gas mains, given a 3rd one at the JFK Library, but I hope the press is careful about ascribing blame to any particular group, foreign or domestic, until the facts are in.

Apparently the JFK Library was an accidental fire, not a bomb.

    Doubly so

News gathering is a very inexact science. In an event like this, there are always going to be unfounded rumors, inaccurate information and conflicting accounts of what happened that have to be corrected later. A century ago, when all we had was newspapers, reporters and editors could be wrong about these things all day long in the newsroom and nobody on the outside ever knew as long as they got it right by the time the presses rolled. These days they don’t have that luxury. We’re learning things basically as the reporters are writing them into their notebooks.

  30. donna says:

there is a 3-prong test for a “terrorist attack”

    1) violent act

    2) violence was directed at civilians

    3) political motive

per former CIA counterterrorism expert, robert grenier (2004 – 2006)

“#3 remains to be revealed – until we know that there is a political motive involved and what that political motive is, it’s not correct to call it a “terrorist act – as things stand now, it’s a horrific, violent act – this is patriots’ day, one wonders if there is not a right wing component to this, people who feel oppressed by the government now choosing the celebration of the effort to overthrow the bonds of oppression to make a point having to do with domestic politics in the US – there is speculation that one of the injured individuals in the hospital may have been the perpetrator”

there are three types of people who perpetrate these acts

    1) ideologically motivated/religiously motivated/or hybrid

    2) sociopath or someone who has cognitive impairment

    3) personal benefit or revenge

and thrown into the mix, it’s patriots day – and within the last week, a salifist/jihaidst handbook was released that shows how lone wolfs can cause havoc

the undetonated devices will give the agencies evidence of a “signature” if the devices are similar

  31. gorefan: How long before butterdezillion starts blaming President Obama?

    3, 2, 1…

  32. donna: 3) personal benefit or revenge

Former Justice of Peace Eric Williams is prime suspect in shooting deaths of Texas prosecutors

A former Texas court official will reportedly be charged with the brutal slayings of a Texas district attorney, that official’s wife, and an assistant district attorney.

Eric Williams was booked into the Kaufman County Jail on Saturday after police searched his home.

At the press conference that just ended – the first question asked by some idiot was could this be a false flag event. as the conference ended you could hear the idiot going on about false flags.

According to this website the Simpson did it.

    http://johnthewitness.wordpress.com/2013/04/15/the-boston-marathon-false-flag-predicted-in-the-simpsons/

“Earlier, God told me to watch all episodes of the Simpsons which include Hitler.”

  34. Lupin says:

Wasn’t there an episode of RIZZOLI & ISLES with a somewhat similar plot? I do remember a “bombing the marathon” story on TV fairly recently, but I can’t think which series it was.

Then, again THE LONE GUNMEN had an episode eerily similar to 9/11.

  35. The Magic M says:

gorefan: “Earlier, God told me to watch all episodes of the Simpsons which include Hitler.”

And Homer Burns told Bush to invade Iraq.

Next up: Obama declares war on Canada. And Fantasy Land. Because South Park predicted both.

You are mixing up episodes. One R&I ep had a shooter at the Marathon, another had a bomb at Police Headquarters. (I watch it for the local scenery.)
