SC congressman puts national security at risk

Because he’s an idiot

ThinkProgress reports a talk radio exchange between host Rick Wiles and SC Republican Third District Congressman Jeff Duncan.

WILES: While you guys are rounding up and deporting the illegal immigrants, any chance the House may actually pursue Barack Obama’s phony identification papers? That’s the original scandal, congressman.

DUNCAN: People should have voted against him in November. I’m afraid that that wouldn’t get to the Supreme Court where it ought to get.

WILES: But if we know they’re lying about all these other things, why not go back and say, “well maybe the first scandal was a lie, too?”

DUNCAN: There you go. I’m all with you. Let’s go back and revisit some of these things because Americans have questions about not only the IRS scandal but also about the president’s validity.

What is scary is that this idiot is on the House Homeland Security Oversight Committee. He is not, however, the chairman as stated in the audio clip.

    Maybe Not!

“On June 19, 2013 Appellant Taitz participated in a rally in front of the U.S. Capitol in Washington, DC. She was approached there by a whistleblower, who is an employee of the Higher Education Corporation in Albany, New York. The whistleblower advised Taitz that she personally reviewed the microfilm of Barack Obama’s financial aid and it shows that he received financial aid as a foreign student, citizen of Indonesia. Whistleblower wrote for Taitz in her own handwriting her first and last name, her work e-mail address, her personal e-mail address and her home and cell phone numbers. Taitz did her due diligence and independently verified that the whistleblower is indeed employed by the Higher Education Services Corporation in Albany New York. She further checked that Obama transferred from the Occidental college to Columbia University in New York and his financial aid would indeed be handled by the Higher Education Services Corporation in Albany New York(Hereinafter HESC). Whistleblower advised Taitz that the policy of the HESC is not to destroy records and microfilm is contained in the safe of the corporation. She further advised Taitz that several employees of the HESC made copies of the microfilm, in case the management decides to destroy the evidence. She came forward, as she is concerned about fraud being committed and the fact that as a citizen of Indonesia barna was not eligible to be the president of the United States.”

I don’t know if this true or is some kind of bait from Orly to get the CCP to cooperate with her. If it is, this is a Big Concern.

  2. Arthur says:

Aw, he’s just a politician pandering to his base. The real idiot is the interviewer, who seems to believe the b.s. he’s peddling. I’d say Duncan knows it’s all crap, but he doesn’t want to rain on this guy’s conspiracy parade.

  3. Arthur says:

    john: Maybe Not!

Speaking of idiots who really believe the b.s. they peddle . . .

  4. This doesn’t sound like the kind of stunt Taitz would make up. She’s probably being hoaxed. It’s happened before. For example, did Taitz verify that the person she met was actually the person whose name she was given? The Higher Education Services Corporation is a New York state agency.

john: I don’t know if this true or is some kind of bait from Orly to get the CCP to cooperate with her. If it is, this is a Big Concern.

  5. john says:

Nevertheless, Doc the CCP and others need to look into it. I know one birther named Gary Wilmott has always believed that Obama would not release his college records because they would show he was a foreign student.

  6. ScottRS says:

Which do you suppose is sadder/funnier – Taitz falling for such obvious BS, or John falling for Taitz?

  7. The Cold Case Posse can look at whatever they want. However, they will need a name before they can get started.

    john:

  8. OReaLY Factor says:

I agree John. Oily and the CCP should devote all their efforts to this. Maybe they could even hold hearings on Court TV. (Now that would be “Must See entertainment”

All of the above! John is one of those idiots whose wallet suffers explosive diarrhea every time one of birtherdom’s heroes exclaims “We have something! We really do! Any day now, yessiree! Any day now, wait and see! P.S. Send money!” The soul crushing disappointment he gets each and ever time it bites him in the ass would send a sane person running the other way, but not John. Not borderline-retarded John.

  10. Butterfly Bilderberg says:

If this “whistleblower” has not released the documents, well, then, she’s not really blown the whistle has she?

  11. The Magic M says:

Andrew Vrba, PmG: The soul crushing disappointment he gets each and ever time it bites him in the ass would send a sane person running the other way

That’s the slot machine dilemma. Once you’ve invested a certain amount of money, it becomes harder to admit you’ve lost it and you seem more inclined to throw in more money because “I need to win it back” and “a win must be closer now”.

And since we know no birther can ever admit he’s wrong, not even about a minuscule detail, …

Butterfly Bilderberg: If this “whistleblower” has not released the documents, well, then, she’s not really blown the whistle has she?

If you look at birther sites (and wingnut sites in general), “whistleblower” has become the new “mot de mode” because it sounds so much better than “anonymous source that likely doesn’t even exist”.

And we all know how infatuated cranks are with “magic words”.

john: I don’t know if this true or is some kind of bait from Orly to get the CCP to cooperate with her.

It’s just more of the old “an anonymous source told me other anonymous sources told him they have non-existing documents”. Tim Adams, anyone?

Wake me if any of these documents actually surface. One would expect that if they existed, they’d have been sent to every birther/wingnut outlet on the planet instead of having someone spill the beans to Orly without proof so Da Ebil Gubmint Konspeeracee [tm] has enough time to silence everyone… 😉

  12. The Magic M says:

john: She further advised Taitz that several employees of the HESC made copies of the microfilm, in case the management decides to destroy the evidence.

And again the Almighty Infallible Conspiracy is foiled by some low-level employee who simply forgot to scrub something as obvious as college records. (Remember the NWO slogan “Yes we can control thousands of judges but we can’t even burn some pieces of paper in a dozen locations without screwing up”.) Oh boy is Soros gonna be p*ssed. No summer holidays to New Hawaii, Antares system, this time for those responsible.

(Note again the magic word “microfilm” BTW…)

John, regardless of your personal beliefs, at what point are you going to begin to question the information that you are being fed by birther “leaders” and demand that they provide you with concrete proof?

As to Taitz, there are only two possibilities; 1) She fabricated the encounter, 2) She had the encounter.

If she had the encounter, again, there are only two possibilities. Either 1) it is true, or 2) it is a hoax.

But why go public before she had the alleged documents? Going public can only make her look bad. She has not produced a name and thus far her statement is hearsay upon hearsay upon hearsay. Although you say that you do not know if this is true or not, you jump at the possibility enough to demand an investigation. An investigation of what? When has anything that Orly ever said or predicted ever pan out?

Personally, I believe this was an elaborate hoax. Orly will attempt to the contact the person who will have no idea who Orly is and was never at the rally. Orly, instead of admitting that she was punked, will claim that the whistleblower was threatened and afraid for her life.

  14. Arthur says:

Birtherism embraces paradoxes and contradictions that would make a Zen master stumble.

john: I don’t know if this true or is some kind of bait from Orly to get the CCP to cooperate with her. If it is, this is a Big Concern.

I don’t know who the bigger idiot is, Taitz or John. The financial aid given out by HESC is for New York state residents. President Obama was never a resident of NY. President Obama did apply for Federal Student loans (it is well documented since there was a hubub about his records being accessed illegally), which are not available for foreigners.

We could also go down the much visited rabbit hole of how it was impossible for President Obama to obtain Indonesian citizenship, or how even if he had, it would have no impact what so ever on his American citizenship….but why bother?

  17. richCares says:

john should ask why Obama got a student loan (not available to foreign students) if he had all that foreign aid. This rant by Orly is total BS. john’s hate for Obama prevents logic.

  18. donna says:

i find 9 people arrested in iowa for illegally accessing obama’s records more credible – they were employed by a contractor for federal loans only available to americans

in 2012, Sandra Teague, 54, was found guilty of a criminal misdemeanor Wednesday under 26 U.S.C. Section 1030, a broadly worded section of the federal code devoted to computer fraud that carries a maximum penalty of one-year in prison and a $100,000 fine.

Only one other defendant, Andrew Lage, has pleaded “not guilty” and is awaiting trial.

The other seven defendants have either pleaded guilty or are scheduled to do so.

IF TRUE, this alleged (taitz) whistleblower and the other employees of the HESC who “made copies of the microfilm, in case the management decides to destroy the evidence” should succumb to the same fate

  19. Rickey says:

JoZeppy: I don’t know who the bigger idiot is, Taitz or John. The financial aid given out by HESC is for New York state residents.President Obama was never a resident of NY.President Obama did apply for Federal Student loans (it is well documented since there was a hubub about his records being accessed illegally), which are not available for foreigners.

You are correct. Obama could not have received a college loan through HESC because he was never a legal resident of New York State. HESC did not give financial aid to non-resident students even if they attended college in New York State.

I went to college in Connecticut, but I received student loans which were guaranteed by HESC because I was a New York resident.

  20. Unconvinced says:

For them to do that, John, all Orly has to do is release the person’s name so that she and her claim can be investigated. Right?

That was lovely. However, I don’t think anyone can draw any conclusions from Duncan’s response. It was a typically weasel-worded constituent letter intended to not piss off a faithful voter without necessarily being clear about his actual views on the subject. Pretty common tactic. What would now be interesting is to see his response to a communication criticizing his radio program remarks. I bet you it almost reads exactly the same way.

  31. Bob: Is it the paucity of opportunities to watch the sunset while sipping Mai Tais on a beach in upstate New York?

Excuse me – I take personal umbrage at that. There are plenty of opportunities. Just use your imagination, sitting along Lake Erie.

  32. Rickey says:

    Plantmaster:

John gives credence to rumors about anonymous New York State employees but he refuses to accept certifications from the State of Hawaii.

We know that Orly’s latest “discovery” is B.S. because Obama wasn’t eligible to receive financial aid from N.Y. HESC.

  33. Northland10 says:

If you ever wondered why Orly files things that have no hope of going anywhere, look at John’s reaction. Her goal has been realized.

The congressman here likely had a similar goal in mind for his stupidity.

  34. Bonsall Obot says:

    john:

Seriously, john, get professional help. Your mental illness makes it unsporting to even ridicule you.

    Precisely.

  36. Woodrowfan says:

  39. nbc says:

john: I know one birther named Gary Wilmott has always believed that Obama would not release his college records because they would show he was a foreign student.

How could that be since he had a US Passport when he visited France while a student in the 1980s? May I remind you that this has been established (and discussed here before).

Rickey: … Obama could not have received a college loan through HESC because he was never a legal resident of New York State. …

I’m sure Taitz has irrefutable proof of that. Somewhere in her duodenum or ileum.

  42. G says:

    It sure seems that way…

I think you’re onto something here, Doc. This is the same guy who spotted IRS agents training with AR-15 rifles at the National Law Enforcement training facility and, despite membership on the Homeland Security oversight committee, had no idea that the IRS Criminal Investigation Division is part of the Joint Terrorism Task Force.

Among other things, the IRS CID has played a major role in terrorism investigations involving complex, extensive or convoluted financial transactions. Additionally, CID Computer Investigative Specialists (CIS) assistance to terrorist investigations. CIS are experts in extracting financial records stored in computer hard drives, computer networks, and even the Internet. CISs take part in every IRS criminal and counterterrorism investigation that involves the acquisition of digital evidence. A number of CID agents are posted to duty stations in the Middle East as part of the government’s anti-terrorism efforts.

I guess Congressman Duncan did not read the briefing materials prepared for Committee members.

  48. I am with Dr.C on this one! I don’t think Orly would just make up the story. Either she was punked, or she ran into some drunk, or Adderalled up Patriot who was running their mouth. Some people just get really caught up in whatever fantasy is making the rounds.

Your other comment, which included, “I have to agree with the riddler,” is interesting since you ARE the person posting as “the riddler.”

He likely was one of the ignoramuses who didn’t know that the Social Security Administration routinely buys ammunition. The SSA has armed criminal investigators who fight Social Security fraud.

  54. Greenfinches says:

Rickey: The SSA has armed criminal investigators who fight Social Security fraud.

OT – but but but – what???? What is it with the US, that it arms everybody?!

  55. Butterfly Bilderberg says:

Greenfinches: OT – but but but – what????What is it with the US, that it arms everybody?!

What is it? It is the increasing need both to deal with violent persons who commit financial and drug-related crimes, as well as the need to protect government employees from violence aimed specifically at them. Almost every federal department that deals with monetary transfers has armed officers with statutory law enforcement authority in their Office of Inspector General. These agents are primarily responsible for investigations into fraud and malfeasance relating to department funds. They also are responsible (along with the Federal Protective Service) for securing the department’s employees and visitors.

As a federal employee I am grateful for the presence of the protective officers who guard my building and stand ready to respond to a threat in my office if the panic button is pushed.

  56. JD Reed says:

Andrew Vrba, PmG: Well, I know one birther named John, who will believe anything negative he hears/watches/reads about the President.

    Hear, hear!
Obama has released no fewer academic records than any of his predecessors, John. Your post is willfully ignorant in that some contract workers, I believe eight of them, in Iowa, were convicted of, or pled guilty to, aunauthorized access to Mr. Obama’s student loan records. If these records had shown him to be a foreign student, isn’t it likely that at least one of them would have copied the evidence and released it to the public, out of spite? A sort of early-day Snowden?
John, you have surely been exposed, whether you acknowledge it or not, to repeated lies from Birtherstan regarding Mr. Obama’s college records. One was not a lie in origin, but was an April Fool’s spoof –that is, satire — but it became a lie in the hands of birthers because they spread it claiming it was true while klnowing it was false. This was, of course, the Occidental College “release” of Obama records.
Another was the faked Obama student ID at Columbia identifying him as a foreign student. It soon developed that the student ID number purportedly issued to Obama was actually issued about 15 or 16 years later to a German citizen who had enrolled in a special program at Columbia.
What are the chances of two students randomly being assigned in the same 15-digit ID number? One in one quadrillion. A quadrillion is 1,000,000,000,000,000. Unlike you, John, I check things out instead of making the knee-jerk assumption that what I want to believe is factual.
(See “confirmation bias.) I managed to track down the e-mail address of the German student, now living back in his home country, and asked him if the image on his website of his Columbia University student ID (which by the way did not identify him as a foreign student, although he was) was an accurate copy. He confirmed that it was.
Your odds of winning the Powerball lottery far more favorable than the odds of Columbia issuing the same 15-digit student ID number by chance in a 15- or16-year span.
Most of the readers and posters of this website, I daresay, are intelligent and knowledgable individuals able to sort the wheat from the chaff.
Thus most of your posts, John, are DOA. So why do you bother?

  57. Rickey says:

Greenfinches: OT – but but but – what????What is it with the US, that it arms everybody?!

To add to what Butterfly Bilderberg said, many people wrongfully assume that Social Security fraud merely involves cases of people people continuing to cash Social Security checks after a relative dies, etc. In fact, a significant amount of Social Security fraud is perpetrated by dangerous criminals, fraud which ranges from Medicare fraud to identity theft to he selling of forged documents. Social Security criminal investigators are the equivalent of police officers and are armed accordingly.

  58. Rickey says:

    JD Reed:
Most of the readers and posters of this website, I daresay, are intelligent and knowledgable individuals able to sort the wheat from the chaff.
Thus most of your posts, John, are DOA. So why do you bother?

The difference is that most birthers don’t even try to sort the wheat from the chaff. To them, if it reflects badly upon Obama it automatically has to be wheat.

  59. The Magic M says:

Squeeky Fromm, Girl Reporter: Either she was punked, or she ran into some drunk, or Adderalled up Patriot who was running their mouth.

Or into a birther who is a bit more creative in relaying his/her made-up stories than just “put them in a Youtube video”.

I think a non-birther would’ve come up with something different than just another “I heard from other people they have copies of smoking gun documents”. I mean, if these people actually had access to such documents, why did they consider them important enough to “protect from scrubbing” but not important enough to send them to every news outlet in the world plus the Cool Base Posse?

This sounds more like the Gallups/Zullo type of birther-grifting, the “I haz sooper sekrit everdance, I swearz, but so sorry Sir, no can show U!” meme.

Let’s see how often Orly’s “whistleblower” will have her homework eaten by the dog, or “everything destroyed by an NSA virus”, then never mail again to allow another round of “she was silenced, one way or another” memes on ORYR.

  60. Greenfinches says:

Rickey: Social Security criminal investigators are the equivalent of police officers and are armed accordingly.

I daily thank heaven (as an atheist) that I live in a country where the police are armed only exceptionally, as a specific case requires it, and that there is no question of a ‘right to bear arms’ . DAILY, and still OT.
