Exclusive: Orly’s moving

Update: Orly’s web site is back up. Content restored to June 29 July 1. Google Safe Sites now says not suspicious any more.

Update 2: This curious item appeared in one of Orly’s ad slots (the end is .com truncated by the screen):

In an exclusive interview this morning with Obama Conspiracy Theories, Orly Taitz expressed optimism that her web site would be back up soon.

Readers will recall that her site, hosted by Network Solutions, became unavailable for a couple of days after what she described as a hacking incident. The site was restored, but then Google Safe Sites flagged the site as being a vector for third-party malware, causing a warning page to be displayed in the Firefox and Chrome browsers when anyone attempted to access it. Then the site went back down completely again yesterday and remained down as of this morning.

Taitz responded in an email this morning:

My site was hacked. It was cleaned and should be up shortly. I am also changing the hosting company.

It’s the pits when your web site is down (and I’ve been on the Internet a long time both personally and commercially and have suffered a lot of down time). It’s also a pain to change hosting companies (as readers here have experienced). So in the name of free speech, the best of luck to Orly Taitz in getting her web site up, no matter how despicable the content.

By the way, I found out that my site’s automated backup procedure hadn’t worked since last February. It’s backed up now. “shock:

Orly can change her hosting companies as many times as she likes. It isn’t going to stop her blog from going down. As long as she has Chito helping her and she continues to copy and paste data from other websites, she’s going to continue to have problems.

  2. There may be two problems or one. If she was hacked in the traditional sense, then however she got hacked the first time may be how she got hacked the second time. Restoring the site leaves the same vulnerability The other problem could be a dodgy advertising provider.

I’ve only been hacked once, a very long time ago in business. A third party lent us a server to test their software. It had to be connected to the Internet, and it was outside our firewall. It was hacked within a day. We found out when our Internet provider said we were sending spam.

I say all that to basically admit that I don’t know much about hacking.

    One question for Orly Taitz:

Have you, at any time in the last five years, with regard to the the President’s eligibility or to your website or to a matter of law, been in error?

Or is absolutely nothing ever your fault?

  4. Bob says:

It would be a shame if she lost all of those beautifully written, thoughtful articles she’s posted over the years.

Seriously, what are the chances she just throws up a new blog and starts from scratch?

  5. DaveH says:

I have a very difficult time believing she has ever been hacked – especially by “obots”. If I were to hack her website, I can guarantee that every article she ever wrote or copied from another website would be gone and articles praising President Obama would appear along with an apology for being so stupid.

She’s the biggest danger to her website. That and having people like Chito Pappa help her. It’s more likely the advertising that she’s got that is causing the issues with Google finding malware on her website.

You have demonstrated yourself by just leaving your browser open and inactive on her website that something eventually will popup. It’s too bad that the people that follow her believe her lies.

When websites are truly hacked by people that disapprove of what your website represents, people are going to know for a fact that it has in fact been hacked.

  7. I recall when the Cold Case Posse web site got hacked, the hackers made a statement.

What I considered possible is that Orly’s site was hacked by someone who wanted to do something evil with it (like send spam) and that the hosting company actually took it down until it could be restored.

I see her site still looks like crap. Way to go, Orly!

  9. DaveH says:

Well, I guess since their motives were “evil” then it had to be “obots”.

Seriously, though. Don’t you think defacing a website isn’t evil as well? And I guarantee you if her website is ever hacked by “obots”, people are going to know it.

Orly has no idea what an actual “obot” would do to her website if an “obot” hacked it. I can guarantee her – and I hope she reads here – that it won’t be to install malware or viruses or use the website for some nefarious activity that could damages someone else’s computer or send them spam. It’s going to make her look seriously stupid.

Well… she already looks stupid but visitors to her website will not be mistaken that it was taken over by “obots”.

  10. If hacked by Obots, I could imagine an image involving pancakes, or perhaps bats flying around her head.

  11. Suranis says:

If I hacked her website I would simply change the title to “worlds worst lawyer” or “America’s premiere civil rights proctologist” and see how long it takes her to notice.

Of course she would see people on the fogbow laughing about it long before she would naturally notice, so it would not be a true test.

  12. Andrew Vrba, PmG says:

Even though her site is back up, I’m sure this will keep happening. She lacks the intelligence to pin point the actual problem, let alone do anything to fix it. Its much easier for her to scream “Obots did it!”

Proof positive that “the regime” has a TARDIS.

Solving mysteries is eversomuch easier when one determines the conclusion first, then seeks supporting evidence after.

Maybe pop-up errors every time she misspells a word and another pop-up for formatting errors. When she hits publish, Word Press demands.. Let Me Feenish!!!

The Paperclip from MS Office pops up, “Here let me help you FEEENISH that.”, or the announcer from Mortal Kombat chimes in with “FEEENISH it!”
