Updates to the Arizona Corporation Commission web site show the Cold Case Posse now in good standing. I said it would be simple to fix. What is strange is that the corporation’s address remains the address of a post office and the Agent physical address a FORMER location of the Sheriff’s Office, where we confirmed that the Cold Case Posse and Mike Zullo do not have an office.
Stay tuned.
Update:
Some folks have gone over the CCP filing in detail and have concluded that the letter of the law has been followed, if perhaps not the intent. What we see here is the continued program of hiding and non-disclosure from the Cold Case Posse that I think is in appropriate for an organization that gets a tax exemption from the government.
Could it be this is nothing more than the Republican good old boys network at work ? All 5 Arizona Corporation Commission Commissioners are Republican. Arpaio could have simply made a call to help his boy and suddenly there is movement some 20 days after the Cold Case Posse became delinquent. Mere speculation, but anything is possible.
Corporations are people, my friend.
And dissolving people, last time i checked … uh, you know in the city limits … well, that ain’t legal.
*Looks at the Disintegrat-o-tron ray he just bought on eBay, and sighs*
Well damn it…
Zullo was using Alinsky tactics on them.
I assumed they were using the P.O. Box because they didn’t want to admit they’re all now living at a FEMA re education camp.
More likely….in my experience….their updated filing (probably done electronically) simply threw the switch and put them in good standing.
Whether it will survive examination by a human being only time will tell.
The filing wasn’t done electronically but my guess, again, would be that the document was just scanned and uploaded by a clerk.
Here it is for anyone that wants to see it:

Scroll down to “Scanned Documents” and look at the last one…..Agent Appointment from 6/16
I still need to see the Good Standing Certificate (not the “Certificate of Good Standing”, mind you), then it will all go away.
Well once again it appears the Cold Case Posse is playing fast and loose with the Arizona Corporation Commission with their recent “Corporation Statement of Change.”
The form clearly states: “NOTE–No matter what is being changed, numbers 1, 2, 3.1, 5.1, and 5.2 must be completed.”
3.1 was NOT completed: “REQUIRED– List the known place of business currently shown in A.C.C. records (before any changes): (Space left blank.)
Of course we all know their known place of business is listed on previous filings as “44047 N 43RD AVE, PHOENIX, AZ 85087-5948″ The now famous Daisy Mountain Post Office.
5.1 ” REQUIRED– List the name and physical address (not a P.O. Box) in Arizona of the existing statutory agent .” This box was completed using an address that Zullo is not located according to Wells Fargo Property Management. (100 W Washington, STE 1900, Phoenix, AZ 8503) Yes, they didn’t even get the ZIP code right as it should be listed as 85003-1805.
But according to the Arizona Corporation Commission, the Cold Case Posse is now currently in “Good Standing.”
I have it on good authority that a civic-minded Arizona citizen has raised this question with the Corporations Commission.
I don’t think it matters that neither Zullo nor the CCP have an office at 100 W Washington — what matters is if the statutory agent has an office there. The filing lists the name of the statutory agent as “Registered Agents Inc.” and I have located their website http://www.arizonaregisteredagent.com. Their main office is in Oro Valley — at the “mailing address” in the filing. The only question left to ask is, do they also have an office at 100 W Washington?
No they don’t. That’s the former office occupied by Sheriff Arpaio and his staff. They moved out last December.
It is my recollection that Wells Fargo has said they will be reclaiming the space for their own use.
OK, then that’s a problem. And an unforced error — they apparently have a statutory agent, they just didn’t put in the correct address.

Excellent!
There’s more to it. Check out George’s post a few messages back.
Because of Doc’s rules, I won’t give the exact address, but Zullo might have another problem. Why is his house listed (by Zillow) as being over $100K less in value than other houses of similar size and lot size in his neighborhood? Is he getting a kickback on his taxes? Enquiring minds want to know.
If it’s the house I am thinking of it is probably because its worth a lot less than other houses around him. That area is full of older homes that are worth substantially less than the newer or updated homes around them.
Use Zillow and check other neighborhoods and you will see big differences in estimated values. Assessed values, by the way, are for tax purposes and have nothing to do with the real value of the home in Maricopa County.
Nothing new or sinister there and certainly no way I can imagine it being some sort of kickback on his taxes.
Thanks for the info. I guess different areas do things differently.
