Klayman petitions to have Obama deported

I had the opportunity once more yesterday to pass through US Immigration and the key document I presented to prove my right to enter the United States was my US  passport. To get a passport, I had to prove my citizenship by presenting a birth certificate. Barack Obama has a passport (and a birth certificate) too:

Larry Klayman, attorney and anti-Obama frequent filer, doesn’t find that good enough for him, and citing birther books, YouTube videos and affidavits from the likes of Mike Zullo, Joe Arpaio, Jerome Corsi and Lucas Daniel Smith1, Klayman has petitioned the U. S. Department of Homeland Security, Immigrations and Customs Enforcement to initiate an investigation leading to deportation proceedings against their boss, the President. The petition is quite detailed, and interested readers are encouraged to read the whole piece.

The petition even garnered a blog article in US News and World Report, who said:

Obama’s birth certificate, validated by the Hawaii state government and publicly released in April 2011, says he was born in Honolulu on Aug. 4, 1961. Birth announcements were printed in two local newspapers at the time. There has never been legitimate evidence presented showing Obama was born outside of the U.S.

Klayman is  once again using his notoriety to bring an essay into the theater of the absurd before the public.

1Curiously, the Freedom Watch petition web page has several of the exhibits from the petition, but not Exhibit E, the affidavit of Lucas Smith.

Klayman’s “petition” is merely a ruse to help Jerome Corsi reinvigorate the sale of his books. In it he provides links to WND’s “Superstore” where you can buy your own copy of Corsi’s stuff. Klayman even invites the staff of the Homeland Security Department to buy their copies of Corsi’s “evidence” rather than simply including actual copies as exhibits.

We everyone has all seen Obama’s POTUS passport. Every president gets one. I would really like to see the passport from way back like the one Obama used to get into Pakistan. During the 2008 election, Obama’s passport records were purged (They also broke into Clinton’s and McCain to provide cover.)

It’s a diplomatic passport, john. He still has his personal passport.

Notice it lists his nationality as “United States of America”.

It’s early and I haven’t finished by first cup of coffee but I don’t find anything about Obama’s passport records being purged. What is your source for that one?

He got it from the same source that said Obama attended college as a foreign student, the same source that said Obama lost his law license, and the same source that said Michelle Obama is whatever they’re saying about her now.

This was a big concern that never really was investigated other than say that Clinton’s and McCain’s Records were broken into too.

Answer. No, John, Obama’s passport records were LOOKED AT—that is all. There is no report whatever that they were changed or “purged” or even that they could be. The State Department has multiple copies of records and the guys who looked that the files only saw the electronic copies. The State Department has the physical copies as well.

Where does that blog post say that Obama’s passport records were purged?

This is what the actual Associated Press story says:

WASHINGTON — State Department employees snooped through the passport files of three presidential candidates — Sens. Barack Obama, Hillary Rodham Clinton and John McCain — and the department’s inspector general is investigating.

State Department spokesman Sean McCormack said the violations of McCain and Clinton’s passport files were not discovered until Friday, after officials were made aware of the unauthorized access of Obama’s records and a separate search was conducted.

The incidents raise questions as to whether the information was accessed for political purposes and why two contractors involved in the Obama search were dismissed before investigators had a chance to interview them. It recalled an incident in 1992, when a Republican political appointee at the State Department was demoted over a search of presidential candidate Bill Clinton’s passport records. At the time, Clinton was challenging President George H.W. Bush.

McCormack said one of the individuals who accessed Obama’s files also reviewed McCain’s file earlier this year. This contract employee has been reprimanded, but not fired. The individual no longer has access to passport records, he said.

Not a single word about anyone’s passport records being “purged” or otherwise destroyed.

It’s also worth pointing out that Obama’s passport records could not have been searched unless he actually had a U.S. passport.

It’s also worth pointing out that Obama’s passport records could not have been searched unless he actually had a U.S. passport.

A 2008 GAO sting operation used fake identity documents on seven different occasions to obtain 3 fraudulently obtained U.S. passports. Over 60 percent of the attempts to fraudulently obtain a U.S. Passport are caught before issuance. Yeah!!! And that’s after 9-11. No way Obama got a fake passport before 9-11. I bet the State Department caught almost 50% of fraudulent attempts to obtain a U.S. Passport before 9-11.

    Steve:

Some people strive not to illuminate objective reality, but attempt to manipulate other’s perception of reality, including reinforcing existing misperceptions. Klayman is the latter, and therefore, morally defective IMO.

Oh, you said mentally defective. Heh. I suspect that over time, if his thought processes weren’t already warped, his continued practices would have a warping effect. Use of the brain molds the brain. If his shenanigans weren’t sutomatic from the git-go, they sure seem to be now!

  15. Lupin says:

Steve: Is Klayman mentally defective or does he just know how to manipulate mentally defective people?

The latter, I suspect. KKKlayman belongs to the rather infamous tradition of snake oil salesmen and phony doctors peddling imaginary cures to an all too naive citizenry. I remember him from his appearances on Bill Maher’s PI show in the late 90s. He is clearly a grifter.

That’s the problem with habitual liars, eventually they will believe their own lies.
The first priests were just laymen who knew they could wield power by using religion. Later generations of priests actually believed in the stuff they preached.

Ultimately, this leads to the cognitive dissonance you see in the Mafia – mob bosses who commit the most heinous crimes, yet consider themselves good Catholics.

I just pondered this issue when I watched one of my favourite movies, Lucky Number Slevin, again last weekend:

SLEVIN: How do you justify being a rabbi… and a gangster?

THE RABBI: I don’t. I’m a bad man who doesn’t waste time wondering what could’ve been when I am what could’ve been and what could not have been. I live on both sides of the fence. My grass is always green. Consider, Mr. Fisher… there are two men sitting here before you, and one of them you should be very afraid of.

    10/8 klayman with alan colmes:

Before comparing Obama to the KKK, Colmes asked the Judicial Watch and Freedom Watch founder about his birther theories since Klayman is circulating a petition in order to have the Usurper deported, because Kenya.

“We can go do the birther thing on a number of levels here,” Colmes said. “First of all, this is pretty much adjudicated in terms of two birth certificates, two newspapers in Hawaii weeks after his birth making the announcement, and how about the fact that his mother was American, which would automatically make him an American citizen, having an American mother?”

Klayman responded, “First of all, it’s never been adjudicated…Secondly, with regards to publishing things in newspapers, that was a common practice in Hawaii for people who wanted to set their kids up to be permanent residents or citizens.”

“So they phoned it in from Kenya to two newspapers?” Colmes asked.

Klayman remarked, “Why not, we got Ebola from Liberia, why can’t we have that phoned in from Kenya?”

“So I see, so phoning in a birth to two Hawaii newspapers is akin to Ebola coming to the United States from Liberia,” Colmes responded.

Klayman said, “You’re playing with me Alan.”

“That’s what you said, I’m repeating what you said,” the radio host responded.

Poe’s Law in full effect. Too bad he’s almost never that funny.

  20. RanTalbott says:

Question for the lawyers: is this “petition” equivalent to a lawsuit complaint, making it a submission in a “judicial proceeing” under 18USC1001?

Or is it more like walking up to a cop and falsely reporting that your neighbor is running a meth lab?

Klayman seems to be seeking some sort of martyrdom. Why not oblige him by making him the first birfoon to go to prison for The Cause™?

  21. The Magic M (not logged in) says:

RanTalbott: Or is it more like walking up to a cop and falsely reporting that your neighbor is running a meth lab?

I’d say it’s neither. It’s more like walking up to a cop and telling him your neighbour is probably an illegal alien because he has brown skin.
Or like writing to the FBI they should arrest the CEO of Amazon because the United States are a corporation and the 14th Amendment was never properly ratified.

  22. RanTalbott says:

The Magic M (not logged in): I’d say it’s neither.

I don’t think it can be: if there’s a formal procedure for citizens asking ICE to deport, it might be legally considered a “:judicial proceeding”. Which would make Klayman immune from both libel suits and 18USC1001 prosecution.

If not, then it becomes like a false police report.

The Magic M (not logged in): It’s more like walking up to a cop and telling him your neighbour is probably an illegal alien because he has brown skin.

Mmm, no: Klayman is making statements that he _knows_ to be false, claiming that there is evidence to support his accusations when, as a lawyer, he knows that the birfoon BS is not actual evidence. The guy accusing his neighbor is just stupid and prejudiced.

  23. bob says:

It is neither a judicial proceeding nor a police report. It is a crazy person throwing paper at a government agency, which will ignore it.

That the federal government will prosecute Klayman for this is only slightly more plausible than the federal government deporting Obama.

  25. RanTalbott says:

Keith: So, is this Klayman in action?

Well, it can’t be Orly: the batteries would never last long enough to send even one of her zibbits, much less a complete complaint. 😉

Thanks for the link: not only is it amusing, itself, but there are several fun videos in the “related” column, too.

Back on topic: Klayman admitted in the Colmes interview that he has plans for a mandamus petition ifwhen this gimmick flops. Do we want to start a pool on whether he gets sanctioned, and for how much? 🙂
