Hundreds of thousands to storm Washington tomorrow: may oust Obama

My quote of the day yesterday was:

I think Trump may topple Obama on Wednesday like the French Revolution took down the French king that day.

— Geir Smith
— Comment at Birther Report

Today he says:

Dr Obot’s being crushed by Trump.

Trump’s swamping Washington. Palin, Mark Levin, Ted Cruz, Glenn Beck are all joining him there.

The Obots are gone now: it’s over for them. They’re expecting hundreds of thousands at the Capitol Rally tomorrow at 1 PM on the West Lawn of the US Capitol. Hurry up to spread this or go there.

The event is the “Stop the Iran Nuclear Deal” rally. It’s a Tea Party thing. I heard that foreign policy expert Sarah Palin will be there. The birther contingent will be led by Donald Trump. Other notables will be Steve King, Glenn Beck, and the Canadian born Ted Cruz.

We’ll just have to see how many show up. I think, however, that Obama will still be president on Thursday.

Update:

ABC News numbered the crowd in the “hundreds.”

Depending on how you wish to look at the fall of the French Monarchy:

    — 14 July 1789 – Fall of the Bastille – Tuesday

    — 5 October 1789 – King Louis XVI dragged from Versailles to Paris by the mob – Monday

    — 21 June 1791 & 4 July 1791 – Louis XVI’s flight to Varennes & Recaptured – Tuesday & Monday

    — 10 August 1792 – Abolition of the monarchy – Friday

    — 21 January 1793 – Execution of Louis XVI – Monday

    Nary a Wednesday in sight.

Does anyone have an idea how long it will be before the LEOs come for us?

I’ll be getting my cash out of the bank today and tomorrow. I know I can make it to the Canadian border and should be able to get across as a tourist.

  11. Dave B. says:

Now see here, my good man– it’s already been established that merely being a native French speaker, well-versed in a most relevant topic, gives you absolutely no authority on the interpretation of Birther French. Why should being a well-educated Frenchman give you any authority on the history of Birther France? In Birther France, everything happened on Wednesday. A birther has so proclaimed. No other authority is necessary.

No, Nancy. Banning you is simply reasonable policy. Even the people who think Arpaio and Zullo are going to hold an “Earth shattering” press conference any day now think you’re crazy. With Trump there, and the 1PM start time, I can see them doubling that for a little while, as the curious take a late/extended lunch break. But it would be surprising if they managed to hold even 5000 for the whole event. Especially if that 15% chance of rain materializes.

The Democrats’ announcement that they can make a Senate filibuster hold is likely to thin the crowd somewhat, too.

But, even in the worst case, they’ll easily beat out Klayman 🙂

  23. Let’s see.

Bill Clinton claims to be the one in charge when Pablo Escobar was murdered in 1993. He lied. He still looks like a hero because the truth isn’t out there in full view…yet. So, Clinton still looks like a hero which he’s not. Who, in their right mind, disarms military bases?

Pablo was murdered Oct 2, 1990 in Melbourne Beach, Florida.

It’s a matter of perspective. The Clintons had their chance to take down Pablo, who was openly engaged in a “Kill American Gringos For The Hispanic New World Order” agenda in 1983. They didn’t. Most likely for the cocaine gold. You say “narc.” I say, “Let’s give credit where credit is due.”

Clinton didn’t disarm military bases, GHWB did. They were not completely disarmed, either. You really should get away from the nutjob sites. They don’t care about the truth, but then again, neither do you. Clinton never said he killed Escobar. He was killed in Colombia in 1993. It would have been of zero benefit for Clinton to claim he had anything to do with it as it was AFTER he was elected. You’re also of the belief that there was a requirement that our Presidents had to have been in the military at some point in our history. This has never been true. Making things up as you go doesn’t add to your credibility, if anything, it further detracts from it. http://www.snopes.com/politics/clintons/baseguns.asp

  26. How did a serial rapist like Bill Clinton make it into office? Pablo was murdered in 1990 just 8 weeks after Alachua County, where the University of Florida is located, announced their “Gainesville Slayings.” Were they connected to Pablo Escobar? Absolutely.

Just remember RWNJ Grammar Rule #45: one comma is good, but a whole bunch of commas in a row really get the reader’s attention.

Oh, and don’t forget Rule #37a: the word “lose” is spelled with two o’s. The liberal media want everyone to believe there’s only one, but a good RWNJ knows better.

Nancy R Owens: Commas have always been a major pain for me to understand.

  29. rroadburner says:

had a look at the live feed, and the perspective isn’t good for seeing how many attended.

maybe they’re a bit embarrased about the numbers, because if it was a big crowd, i’d sure as hell be panning over them.

  30. The Magic M (not logged in) says:

Dave: But I can find no effort to organize people to show up.

    Why would they bother? RW’s are always “let’s you go/fight/die, I can’t”.
I fondly remember how even the organizers of most RWNJ events couldn’t be arsed to show up. The whole “I had to work and didn’t find a hotel room” drama somehow betrays their “if we don’t act now, we’ll all be holocausted tomorrow” claims.

  31. The Magic M (not logged in) says:

Live stream shows about 100-150 people attending, if I’m generous. About half of them are cheering on cue. So again, a big pile of nothing.

BTW I noticed again from the current speaker, some Nancy Whatshername, how RW’s are always “I support Israel” but never “I support the people of Israel” or “I support the Jews”. Gosh, one would almost believe they only worry about the country on the map to be still around to be destroyed in their end times fantasy, not about the people who live in it. (WND is even celebrating Jews in Israel converting to Christianity.)

  32. *smile*

Thanks. Lay, lay, lie, ugh. Lose, loose, another ugh. My kids old third grade Abeka book would be useful right about now. I was raised in the deep south where everybody knows how to spell spittoon and Budweiser. But, not much else.

Nancy R Owens: But, not much else.

Now, see, that phrase above is a good example for application of RWNJ Rule #45. Either no comma should go after the word “But,” or you’ll want at least 15 or 20 commas. A single comma there is incorrect.

News outlets are reporting several hundred. Good for Trump and Cruz. The Deal is the crummiest deal in creation. We don’t get out hostages back and Iran still has the ability to create nuclear weapons. (although the deal makes it harder) If Trump gets in, lets hope he kills the deal 5 minutes after assuming office. Reimpose sanctions get our prisoners back. If Iran refuses, then we bomb.

How are you going to bomb Iran without killing the prisoners you profess to be so concerned about?

Apparently you know nothing about the iran deal other than what you have read on WND. Reimposing sanctions would be meaningless, because every other country in the world has ended sanctions and will not reimpose them unless there is evidence that Iran is violating the agreement.

By the way, Colin Powell came out in favor of the Iran deal the other day.

I have to agree with Trump. There is no rational reason in the world why we arn’t getting back out prisoners. Makes no sense at all. I mean why are we sending Iran 150 Billion dollars? John Kerry looks like a ghoul. Regarding the hostages, there is no doubt in my mind Kerry would have turned Amanda Knox over to Italy after being found guilty (AGAIN!). Fortunately, her conviction was thrown out. Obama and Kerry have abandoned these people but agreed to release 5 Tailban Killers in exchange for the burnt traitor Bowe Bergdahl. I have no doubt that they released them because this was opportunity for Obama to release some of his Muslim friends. I have no doubt to Obama is a Muslim and it has been proved again and again and again (Being a Muslim is not completely accurate, Obama is more like a Muslim Sympathizer or Corlaborrator which why Obama can’t say he words Radical Islamic Terrorism.)

  57. Smart move John. Kill the deal, and Iran gets most all it wants because OTHER countries are lifting sanctions, and we get nothing. OOPS.

Just to be honest, do you actually know what the deal is?

    john: Kills the Iran Deal,

  58. john says:

    Dr. Conspiracy:
Iran gets significant sanctions relief whether we kill the deal or not, since many countries have agreed to lift sanctions. However, if we kill the deal, we get nothing from Iran. If the deal stays, we get reductions 98% reduction in stockpiles, 13,000 centrifuges shut down, and inspections.

The deal says we know where everything is. Why aren’t destroying all stockpiles and destroying every last centrifuge. Reduction of stockpiles to 100%. There is no reason why Iran needs 2% of its stockpiles. All the centrifuges must be dismanteled – all of them.

  59. john says:

regarding the sanctions. What should have done is the sanctions should be lifted but to a bare minimum, just barely enough for Iran to function. After seeing Iran comply, more sanctions could lifted in the future, like a step approach.

I’m reviewing old black and white episodes of The Fugitive to get some pointers on staying free. I still haven’t figured out how we will get our Obot performance checks in the mail while on the run. These are desperate times Pete.

  63. But since other countries are lifting sanctions, a gradual lifting by us really wouldn’t matter much. When we negotiate these deals, we have to consider not only what we do, but what other countries will do. The Republicans can criticize because they don’t have to be responsible for the consequences. They don’t have to get it right. It only has to sound good to their constituents.

john: regarding the sanctions. What should have done is the sanctions should be lifted but to a bare minimum, just barely enough for Iran to function. After seeing Iran comply, more sanctions could lifted in the future, like a step approach.

  64. In 1983 we blew up Pablo’s “Napoles” in South Florida. The mission was something of a success. Afterwards, I was ordered by Dyess to leave town. This was to make sure no one could counter any heroic claims he would make.

Having already given much thought to college, I opted for Journalism thinking this would give me a leg up against Dyess. My next major (UF) was Advertising which I studied for one and a half years. I felt I was good at one line slogans. I then realized Advertising was more about math and decided to go for Creative Writing instead.

Shortly after Tiffany Sessions, whom I used to jog with, was murdered in my back yard, I was driven to a building where Pablo was staying. Certain events took place and a second girl, about 21 or so, was also murdered.

Pablo let me live although it was clear that was not his initial plan. I’ve often wondered why he let me go and the only conclusion I can come up with is that he, being narcissistic, expected my to one day write about him and what he perceived to be heroic events for the Hispanic New World Order.

Writing about the true history was never my intention from a fictional standpoint if ever at all. These things were supposed to remain secret. My goal was to take down Dyess and give my version of events hoping for the best and hoping people might understand. After that, I had no specific plans.

The Russians are so much better at these world games than our people are. I agree with Trump. A lot of these people in Washington have been born with silver spoons and have no real comprehension of guerrilla warfare, the evidence being the fact that we now have a foreign King on the American throne.

You will get the true history of Pablo from me if I am allowed to present it and it certainly won’t be a work of fiction.

AC180: That’s what your whole shtick has been about this entire time, isn’t it? I think I’ve had you pegged all along. You don’t believe the crazy, wild stories you spin – it’s just a creative writing exercise. A parody of the worst traits of the Alex Jones’ and Birthers of our world!

Well, you succeeded in making people think you’re crazy, that’s for sure. The only problem is, even the real crazies thought you were too far out there to be believable.

They have vote on the resolution to sanction the deal and not 1 republican will support with a 10 foot pole. Cruz had powerful speech yesterday. When he said those supporting the deal would be party to terrorism and murder, he should have read off by names all 42 Senators who have supported the deal. It’s important we know by name who supports this deal.
Senator Dick Durbin will be a party to terrorism
Senator Barbara Boxer will be a party to terrorism
    and so on.
He could have even released the private cell phones of the Senators who supported the deal.

What about the Republican Senators (and others, I believe) who were a party to sedition when they sent their stupid and ignorant letter to Iran? Apparently you have a problem keeping up with the news. State Department officials told reporters back in March that Amanda Knox would never be extradited to Italy, regardless of whether Italy upheld her conviction.

  83. HistorianDude says:

john: They have vote on the resolution to sanction the deal and not 1 republican will support with a 10 foot pole.

In actuality, had you been paying attention you would have noticed that the Republicans in Congress have twisted themselves into pretzels trying to make sure the Iran deal is sustained. This could have been set up as a vote to APPROVE the deal, and that would have been much harder for Democrats to defeat. If it were normal legislation and not a treaty, you would need 60 to shut off debate and then 51 to prevail. For a treaty, 67 votes would be needed.

But instead, the Republicans themselves set this up as a vote to DISAPPROVE the deal. So instead of needing 51 or 67 votes to win, the Democrats only needed 34 votes to sustain the President’s Veto, or 41 votes to prevent it ever getting a vote.

Now… 92% of the House and 98% of the Senate voted to handle it this way. This is because the Republicans as a rule ACTUALLY SUPPORT THE DEAL… they just can’t say so in the face of a Republican base that is arguably insane. These guys are not as stupid as we often accuse them. They know the disaster that no deal at all would actually be, and they know full well no better deal was ever going to be possible. So in classic fashion, they set it up so the deal would pass, but they would still be able to avoid blame by never actually voting for it.

Get this through your transcendentally thick skull, John. This is an absolutely bi-partisan deal. And it is the Congressional Republican Majority that made it possible.

  84. The Magic M (not logged in) says:

HistorianDude: This is because the Republicans as a rule ACTUALLY SUPPORT THE DEAL… they just can’t say so in the face of a Republican base that is arguably insane.

Reminds me of the Snowden revelations about Saudia Arabia – the country actually supported deals with Israel but didn’t dare tell their crazy constituents about it.

HistorianDude: But instead, the Republicans themselves set this up as a vote to DISAPPROVE the deal.

It does sound a bit like their 50+ “repeals” of Obamacare.
That’s why I’m not so sure that the GOP is actually that clever. If they brought a vote to approve the deal and failed, they would have to present an alternative, and they don’t have one (short of going to war which they can’t sell to the public – yet).
Same with the ACA, they just want to voice their disapproval without having to come up with an alternative (specifically one that doesn’t plunge millions covered now back into non-coverage).

You continuously use a newspaper article from a trial that NEVER mentioned Escobar to validate your claims. It’s worthless as evidence of anything you’ve claimed. Dyess, Jr. is alive and well, currently living and working in Clewiston despite your claims of having killed him and many others who are still alive. You’ve taken the idea of creative writing and used it to build an imaginary past life for yourself.

I didn’t live in Clewiston but those who have and still do say you’re delusional, including your family members. They aren’t lying, you are.

  93. Slartibartfast says:

Let’s explore this a bit, shall we? Assume Nancy has been doing a creative writing exercise in Poe’s law. In that case, she’s been pretty successful at convincing us that she’s a whackjob, but she’s completely failed with the birthers, who see her as a whack-a-loon (technical term meaning someone that a whackjob thinks is crazy). So we should be providing her with criticism as to why her stories aren’t believable to people who have shown a strong affinity to really crazy theories. Things like telling her “Able Danger” wasn’t a person or that claiming that you killed someone who is still alive doesn’t add to your credibility.

Oh wait, that’s exactly what people have been doing here all along. So I guess the question is, is Nancy a complete and total whack-a-loon or is she a bad performance artist who doesn’t take any feedback?

    Nancy R Owens:
No, I’ve been writing while staying in my pajama bottoms and T-shirt. As a former University of Florida student of Creative Writing, I always dreamed of doing this. But, busy with kids, never thought it would actually happen.

Feel free to critique my punctuation and grammar errors because it’s something upon which I need to focus. Commas have always been a major pain for me to understand.

You recall, I’m sure, that NRO never identified even one of her high school classmates that she claims were murdered by the cartel, just like Linda Joy Adams refused to identify any of the co-workers she claimed were killed by toxic fumes at a Social Security office in New Jersey.

  101. The Magic M says:

Despite all the crazyness, I’m puzzled why the anti-Iran deal rally in DC got so little traction even with the Donald speaking (or didn’t he?).
How does Trump get five digits when he campaigns but only 100 people for events like that?
If even Trump can’t fire up people for these causes, doesn’t that mean that effectively, the public does not care squat about them (or does not agree at all with the GOP here)?

  102. Crustacean says:

  105. Pete says:

I don’t want to preempt Doc’s article, but here, let me write a brief article on the topic, in my own words.

Why Donald Trump Is Leading in the Polls

A reader asks: “How the heck is it possible for this nimrod who refuses to provide specifics about his platform to be leading in the polls?” Well, here’s my take on the matter.

First, name recognition and star power go a long way with the American public.

Second, never underestimate the power of stupid people in large numbers.

  106. charo says:

    Dr. Conspiracy:
I’m working on an article that suggests an answer.

He has released two position statements so far on his website. https://www.donaldjtrump.com/positions/immigration-reform I expect there will be more coming.

  107. RanTalbott says:

Crustacean: And how the heck is it possible for this nimrod who refuses to provide specifics about his platform to be leading in the polls? I think it’s name recognition

That’s part of it. But, if it were all of it, he’d already be fading fast the way such candidates have in other elections.

There’s a lot of dissatisfaction with the way our political system has been failing. Some of it’s vague, some specific. Some of it’s legitimate, some is bogus. But there’s a strong feeling across the political spectrum that the “establishment” candidates aren’t going to fix what’s perceived as “wrong”.

Trump is appealing to those people because he says he’ll do things very differently. Eventually, he’ll get pressed for specifics, and his appeal will start to drop as people realize those specifics aren’t realistic. But right now they tend to be satisfied with a combination of that commitment and the fact that he’s succeeded at doing some big things in the private sector.

To a lesser extent, some of that also applies to Sanders, but I don’t believe he’ll take the same dramatic hit because he does have substance to go with his emotional appeal. At least, not on the left. On the right, some of the people who have been ignoring his somewhat-socialist positions because they like his populism will decide he’s too far left for them. It’ll be interesting to see how that plays out, and how much people will fall for the grossly-oversimplified “socialist” label.

  108. Rickey says:

charo: He has released two position statements so far on his website. https://www.donaldjtrump.com/positions/immigration-reform I expect there will be more coming.

But seriously lacking in detail. How much will his wall cost? How is it going to be financed? How is he going to overcome the environmental hurdles? How is he going to do it without rerouting the Rio Grande? How can it be done without violating the water use treaties we have with Mexico?

Trump doesn’t say because he knows that it will never be built.

He also doesn’t say how he is going to finance the deportation of 11 million undocumented aliens.
