Gadson v. Obama
The number of lawsuits directed at Barack Obama increases, and is a cause of growing concern. While this blog has given some attention to Alan Keyes, Orly Taitz, Phil Berg and Leo Donofrio, we have completely ignored the bulk of the cases. This is a mistake.
So to improve our coverage, I want to start by including the case Dr. R. Gadson v. Obama et al.

While the Right Side of Life is listing cases, I have not found their status up to date, nor their references helpful.
I’m trying to decide whether to set up own case registry. Sounds like a lot of work, but it would drive traffic. It’s better for folks to come here than there.
If I can help, let me know. I’ll bet the lawyers have tricks to get ’em. All I can see is a name. I can’t get to the case. Maybe ask opinion over at the polijab too? They might have some advice?
If I clear my computer of all windows and reboot (old computer), I do have that pdf printer installed. (because I don’t have a printer installed).

I have a full copy of Acobe Acrobat 9.0, so I can handle all the PDF stuff necessary. However, the court docs mostly come in PDF anyway. I have limited access to Westlaw and kind folks email me stuff. 😉

Any elected official, and in particular the president, is continually the subject of unusual pro se complaints filed by prison inmates and/or mental patients.
On a number of sites, there seem to be those who search dockets and breathlessly exclaim, “There are X number of lawsuits filed against Obama.”
The number X is then recycled through the blogosphere as if X represents the number of suits on the specific wingnut issue of his eligibility to be president which, indeed, most of them are not.
That is not to say that all inmate suits are similarly deranged or frivolous. Regardless of the substance of a complaint, however, if it makes it in through the courthouse door, it will be duly docketed, regardless of whether it bears a meritorious claim or merely provides stark evidence of a mental disorder.
Don’t use Westlaw for this purpose.

Setting up a PACER/ECF account is fairly simple. There is no charge to search dockets or retrieve docket information on a case. Case filings are 8 cents per .pdf page, but opinions and orders are usually free.
There are all sorts of “official court use” warnings about PACER. I feel sort of intimidated going there. Thoughts?
I miss the election period, all those nights waiting to watch CNN Situation room (11pm to 1am GMT), CNN anderson cooper (3-5am GMT), hoping to find the latest twist & turns over the election, our local election are never so interesting. I’m still detoxing.
Maybe that why i follow up on the birther issue, its as if i waiting for the newest twist. Sadly it VERY clear that our opponent are scraping the barrel 4 ideas on wat to do, they’re not giving any new foder just the same old rubbish. Sometimes i wich the court will just allow one of these cases to go thru so one can have more drama & see the lawyers slaped around over the evidence they wish to present !!!!

I think your main concern should be the $.08/page fee. You’ll get charged for whatever you look at, whether you download it or not — and your curiosity might get the better of you.

PACER stands for Public Access to Court Electronic Records.
Understand that a litigant can make what would otherwise be defamatory or libelous allegations against another party, and such allegations made in the course of litigation are privileged against action.
However, if one takes a civil complaint containing such allegations and publishes it elsewhere, that use is not privileged against an action brought on grounds of defamation.
The “official use” of the system is to provide public access to court records. What you do with those records is up to you. In this instance, we are dealing with allegations made against a public official anyway, so it is unlikely that you would be the subject of a defamation action by the president against you for publishing the drivel that people file in court about him.
Yes, before you print or download a .pdf, the page count and charge is calculated, and you have to press a button to continue.
What they really don’t like, as noted in the Policies and Procedures document, is for people to set up automated docket watching systems that will constantly download the free docket and calendar information. If that’s detected, they can terminate the account.

If you think that’s “unreal”, look at Roy v. Obama (there are actually a number of Roy cases, but I just picked one to illustrate). I believe Gadson has filed a bunch too.

Roy v. Obama was dismissed in January.
Dismissed for failure to state a claim, as I recall.
But it appears The Reverend K. K. K. Roy has filed another suit on Monday.
What Moyna is trying to tell is that the good reverand has filed another suit.
Filed it on monday, but it was dismissed with prejudice on Tuesday.
35 page handwritten complaint.
The Court has reviewed the Plaintiff’s proposed complaint, which for the most part is unintelligible. To the extent that the Court is able to decipher the pleadings, it is apparent that the Plaintiff is seeking relief which is not available in federal court. Accordingly, the Court finds that the proposed complaint is frivolous, pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 1915(e)(2)(B)(i).
Ergo, the Plaintiff’s motion for leave to proceed in forma pauperis [d/e 2] is DENIED.

I think this is Roy’s 14th lawsuit naming Obama. As the Judge commented, it is difficult to decipher Roy’s complaints, and so I haven’t written about them here.

hi,good day to all.we are roman catholics,my sister married 13yrs back,marriage registration at manaparai near trichy-tamilnadu .my sister,her hubby,children(boy 12yrs, girl 3yrs) and servent maid(tamilian fe >35yrs) staying togather in singapore.my sis and girl having PR. her hubby and boy having citizenship.my sis hasbeen suffered tortures like physical assault,verbal abuse and abnormal sexual compulsions by her hubby.moreover the maid made him to use all kinds of violence against my sis. we suspect ther is a extra marrital affair between her hubby and maid.The childrens passport and sister jewells (>50soverigns) under his custody.the boy under the custody of her hubby and maid, they wont allow him to talk with my sister and also making wrong opinion about my sister.for this problems we make some efforts by our relatives but he refuse to give the passport and dismissal of maid.so my sis approach indian high commission,but they ignored under the grounds of family dispute. so my sis lodged complaint against him in policestation lastyear,by follow the singapore court issued PERSONNAL PROTECTION ORDER to my sister. still my sister staying with him,coz of her children.so kindly help how to bring my sis n children to india, whom to contact,well experienced advocate name and address. hope u guide me. mail me.. thank u. by prajin
