While approximately 64% of visitors to it come from the US, where it is ranked #204,311, it is also popular in Canada, where it is ranked #52,776. Someone care to give me a clue what’s going on?
I don’t give much credence to Alexa. Folks like Orly and Ed Hale seem to use their rankings so that makes me suspicious. I think they depend on people downloading and installing their toolbar, something intelligent people would tend not to do.
I dunno. I’ve been trying to boost your Australian rankings 🙂 Maybe Alexa thinks Melbourne is a suburb of Vancouver?
This just a shot in the dark, but where is Canada Free Press operating from? Maybe there is some kind of correlation.
The Canada Free Press domain is registered by someone from Toronto.
Nope http://www.canadafreepress.com is registered with GoDaddy here in the US.
The traceroute takes us to a US IP address
I cannot tell a lie. Its me, endlessly refreshing.
Canada Free Press is a Canadian Conservative publication, founded in Toronto, Canada. It aligns itself with American Conservatism movement. They promote many of the ideas for the GOP. However, most of the negative articles about Obama are written by Americans. I don’t know how many articles in Canada Free Press is written by Americans.
Generally speaking in Canada the most common media is from America. The number of Canadian media sources in Canada per person is less than in America. What would you expect from a country with a population of only 33 million, and Vancouver has just over half a million people.
Hmm google draft dodgers and deserters Vietnam War, destination Vancouver.
That was 40 years ago.
Liberal area rationalizes and ignores some laws and welcomes lawbreakers, the young men grow up to be leaders of the town and likely have offspring. Sanctuary City, like father like son. Just a thought, your mileage may vary. How does San Francisco or Orange County CA rate? City vs urban? Red/Blue That would be interesting also. Regards
Take a look at this link. As usual the birthers show how much class they have or respect that they don’t have for the first lady of the United States….Can you imagine the outrage if someone did the same for Laura Bush? Or Sarah Palin?
Yeah I just replied to that. Sambo mentions Carl Lewis, Olga and Nadia. He gets his timeline completely wrong though
I’m not sure what your point is, but to my knowledge the only American draft dodger who became a leader in Vancouver is Jim Green, who was elected to the Vancouver City Council in 2002 and unsuccessfully ran for mayor in 2005.
Wow he really brought up the Corsi White people comment tape that doesn’t exist as proof lol
Bob, that is the MO of the birther…Use made up statements as facts….See they are accustomed to posting on moderated site where their nonsense is never challenged….But when it is, they will change the subject, ignore you, or just stay silent…
Jesus now he’s just being retarded repeating stuff back I’ve said to him
Bob, I know…Look at this picture he/she posts…He/She really likes the “n” word and comparing Black people to apes and chimps…
Is that whole site racist BL? I went through a few threads and saw some rather racist ramblings and homophobia
I am begining to think so…I just stumbled upon it the other day and when I looked at it today I was apalled at the blatent racism expoused by many of the posters….It makes Free Republic seem tame….
More Lakin nonsense…
“On behalf of the members of The Veterans Council, The United States Patriots Union issued the third in a series of White Papers that calls for specific actions including members of Congress, Tea Party candidates, veterans, veteran’s family members…and ALL of the public figures who claim to be “behind the soldiers” and “for the US Constitution” to “take a stand here and now for both LTC Lakin and his right to a real defense complete with discovery as well as the national future of constitutional law.”
“If these members of congress, candidates for congress and public figures fail to stand up with Lakin and the nation now, then all of their promises of a brighter future are exposed as nothing more than campaign rhetoric.
We are convinced that Barack Hussein Obama cannot be a natural-born citizen’ of the United States and therefore, currently holds the office of Commander-in-Chief illegally. On this basis, the Veterans Council of the U.S. Patriots Union stands with Maj. Gen. Paul Vallely in his open call for the immediate resignation of the entire Barack Hussein Obama administration, in which Maj. Gen. Vallely stated the following;
“A civil uprising is brewing. We now must call for the immediate resignation of Barry Soetoro (AKA President Barack Hussein Obama) …..based on Incompetence, Deceit, Fraud, Corruption, Dishonesty and Violation of the US Oath of Office and the Constitution. – And a call for a National Petition for new elections to select the next President of the United States of America must be initiated. We can wait no longer for a traditional change of Power and New Government.”
Because it’s o.k. for a small group of lunatics to crap all over the Constitution when it suits their derangement, paranoia and bigotry.
“Colonel Martin “Jiggs” Casey: Yes, I know who Judas was. He was a man I worked for and admired until he disgraced the four stars on his uniform.”
“And a call for a National Petition for new elections to select the next President of the United States of America must be initiated.”
Ah the great Patriots- ever so ready to burn the Constitution in order to protect it.
I’ve been rummaging through my Constitution and I simply must have an abridged version, I can’t seem to find a National Petition section anywhere…..
” Dear General Vallely and the United States Patriot (lol) Union. Please stop trying to ‘protect’ me, it’s starting to burn around the edges.
I will be giving your ‘proposals’ all the consideration they deserve.
These are the confounding fathers who fantasize about a return to antebellum times.
That’s one of the things I like about this forum. You get to learn new things all the time.
My search for info regarding this reference led me Seven Days in May and Smedley Butler, and finally to The Business Plot.
I hadn’t known of the ‘Business Plot’ story before. I like this larnin stuff.
The ‘Business Plot’ sounds eerily familiar somehow.
General James Mattoon Scott in “Seven Days” is based on General Edwin Walker.
Walker was also a right-wing nut.
“For seven stormy months Major General Edwin A. (“Ted”) Walker, 51, has stood in the center of a controversy about the role that military leaders may properly play in commenting on public affairs. Last week Walker resigned from the U.S. Army—and added to the argument.
The fuss began last April, when Walker was the commanding officer of the 24th Infantry Division in West Germany. Walker was accused by the Overseas Weekly, an independent, American-owned newspaper, of indoctrinating his troops with the far-right tenets of the John Birch Society. In addition, the paper charged that Walker had once publicly stated that former President Harry Truman was “definitely pink,” and had pinned the leftist label on Mrs. Franklin Delano Roosevelt, former Secretary of State Dean Acheson and U.N. Ambassador Adlai Stevenson.”
And he was wounded, in 1963, in an assassination attempt by Lee Harvey Oswald.
Later in life he was arrested for lewd behaviour in a public restroom.
Thanks, Gorefan. I found the Walker reference too, I just didn’t include it in my list of links. Interesting character (in the same way that a ‘car accident’ is interesting).
I saw the Oswald link, that is something else I hadn’t known before, but I hadn’t seen that he was also the inspiration for George Michael’s ‘performance’. 🙂
Walker, Bulter, and Vallely are all cut from the same cloth.
Funny, how many of them seem to do their best work in public restrooms.
