Southern Poverty Law Center comments on Georgia case

I heard that someone from the Southern Poverty Law Center was in Atlanta for the Georgia ballot challenge hearing. I finally got over to their web site to see what they said. It wasn’t on the front page, but I eventually found it on their Hatewatch blog.

Adding an extra layer of surreality to the already farcical Georgia proceedings regarding President Obama’s constitutional eligibility for office, neither the defendant nor his counsel appeared at this morning’s hearing before an administrative law judge.

You get the flavor of where they’re coming from.

Oh man, it always goes in circles! Last summer, I was digging through the history of Vattelism (the post-Civil War Southern aristocracy thought of itself as Swiss it seems!), and I came across the Southern Legal Resource Center. It’s an bizarro world organization cut from the same mental fabric as is birtherism. With his ‘rebel’ lapel pin, Corsi fits right in. I never looked at their board though, because, at the time, who cared?

On 1/18, a commenter at SPLC pointed out that Van Irion was on the board of the SLRC … and wouldn’t you know it, a week later, that page is suddenly 404!!! LOL!

  2. LMK says:

Bwahahahahaha! At the SLRC site, the “Board of Advisers” page is “temp unavailable”. The “Board of Directors” page give a 404 Error. To double check the “Board of Directors” list, I clicked on the link from the SLRC site just in case JPotter’s link has been changed by the SLRC. The 404 Error was still there.

SLRC is doing a bit of “reorganizing” now that the GA hearing is over.

  3. LMK says:

Oops; JPotter noted the 404 Error before I did.

Sorry! (I’m posting too late at night!)

Apparently it is the place to go if you’re unclear about whether Lincoln was a hero or a tyrant.

Here’s an excerpt from their Interesting E-mail page:

Obama is but their Messenger Boy and the prostituted alteration of this Republic, beginning as I have said in 1865, via a myriad of deceptive alterations of the Original 10 Amendments of the U.S. Constitution, they have cleverly aborted from them & their original intentions of clear direction, and set anew a new and very diabolical direction.

The Alteration of this Government via their 14th (1866) & 17th Amendments (1913) in particular, served as the drafts from which the original draft was cast out and this abortion of revisionISM

    Replacing them.

As such, the fundamental elements once concluded & created by the Founders NO LONGER EXISTS OR APPLIES.

Y’all have been duped and y’all have been screwed over many generations much like a slow-acting poison is enacted into an I.V. over time that ultimately results in the death of the patient…..but whose autopsy will NEVER SHOW THE REAL REASON FOR THE PATIENTS DEMISE……it will simply be addressed & CHALKED’ UP to AGE!

I’m surprised Van Irion and Ass Hatfield didn’t argue to have the Dred Scott Decision reinstated.
