Malik Obama not well-respected in his own country
Birther Report, raising the topic of a video by Joel Gilbert interviewing Obama’s half brother Malik, presents an article that has disappeared. The article, “OBAMA’s family str!ps him n@ked & brings out the devil in him – His visit is a waste of time” appeared at a web site called Kenya News, with hidden domain registration, and hosted in the UK. Today, the page is 404. Google has a cached version.
The article is not original with Kenya News, but is represented as coming from the Kenyan DAILY POST, whose article of the same title is still there.
Comments at the Kenyan DAILY POST are not terribly sympathetic to Malik:

- Malik you are stupid I do not curse people but I saw your skpye thing it was disgusting. First and foremost never bring your dirty laundry to the public shame on you. Also, remember this man was born in America so whatever you expect him to handout to you is a waste of time. You are that kind of people who want want but cannot do anything for yourself. Best advise “get a life” he has his own and you are not going to stop his but your is while waiting for a handout. SHAME ON YOU AGAIN.

on a semi-related note:
joel gilbert’s “dreams of my real father” and “paul mccartney is really dead” are available for free for amazon prime members ( free trail available ). i only got thru the first 20 minutes of both, it’s pretty painful.
the “paul” video is comical to think that gilbert originally released it as a legitimate documentary. it would honestly take a lot of work and effort to create something that seemed more phony. he’s since repackaged it as a “mockumentary”…… without changing the content of the film.
likewise, “dreams” is horrible. one of many things i found painfully fascinating was that gilbert repeatedly took a printout of his own script and would pan across it, zooming in on specific words and phrases as the narrator spoke them, the way real documentary would with an actual document.
Reminds me of the YouTube wingnuts who regularly do the same when referring to their own videos (so we get a pan over a still of a video showing a still of a video). Must be some kind of self-reflexive performance art.
I was intrigued by the one commenter’s phrase “BATH PARTY REPUBLICANS” and whether it refers to Republicans in the US or elsewhere. A Google search for the phrase turns up no other instances. I took it to be a misspelling of “Ba’ath Party Republicans”, a phrase which itself has only one 2011 Google result. The two comments on that page do suggest that US Republicans are like Baathists.
Aren’t the Koch Brothers known for holding fundraising parties in the many baths at their mansions?
